Thomas International provides people assessment tools to help businesses improve employee performance. We chose to edit our video using iMovie HD which allowed us flexibility in our editing process. iMovie has useful features for editing clips and sound effects. There was a lot to learn about the different editing options and functions. This document provides screenshots and descriptions of aspects of the video production process, including using Moodle for project management, creating music in Cubase, setting up a tripod, attaching the camera, and collaborative editing.
The document provides answers to various manual testing questions and examples. It discusses key concepts like priority and severity, examples of high severity low priority defects and vice versa. It also covers test case review criteria, contents of requirements documents, differences between web and client-server testing, test plan contents, defect lifecycle, regression testing approach, and how to report defects in an excel sheet.
Conference: 42nd Annual Industrial
Electronics Conference (IECON2016).
Florence, Italy – October 24-27, 2016
Title of the paper: A Web-Based
Simulator for a Discrete Manufacturing
System
Authors: Wael M. Mohammed, Borja
Ramis Ferrer, Sergii Iarovyi, Andrei
Lobov, José L. Martinez Lastra
The document discusses the key elements of designing integrated hybrid and online courses, including determining course competencies and learning objectives, developing assessments to measure student progress, creating instructional materials and learning experiences to engage students, and synthesizing these elements into a course syllabus that incorporates interaction and technology. Faculty are provided with sample materials and resources to help with course planning, development of assessments and activities, and creation of an accessible online course.
This document provides an analysis of a magazine created by the author for their media studies coursework. It discusses the target audience for the magazine, which is music fans between ages 16-30 who enjoy hip hop and rap genres. The author aimed to fill a gap in the market by creating a magazine that appeals to both hip hop and rap fans. They used conventions from existing magazines to design sections and layout but added their own manipulated images. Feedback was gathered from the target demographic to help make the magazine more relevant. Overall, the author demonstrates they have gained new skills in photo editing and using blogging platforms, and that their work has improved since receiving feedback and studying real media examples.
BI Apps Reports 4 Cognos BI and Crystal ReportsSunny U Okoro
The document discusses Cognos BI and Crystal Reports for analyzing online analytical processing (OLAP) data. It provides overviews of Cognos BI and how it can be used to create reports from OLAP data sources like Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services. It also covers how Crystal Reports allows connecting to OLAP data sources and building reports that include pivot tables to analyze and visualize the multi-dimensional data.
This document provides an overview of the Social Studies 9 course for the year, including the three units of study, assessment breakdown, course expectations, and essential questions. The units cover governance and rights in Canada, quality of life, and economic systems in Canada and the US. Students will be assessed through assignments, tests, and a final exam. The document outlines expectations like arriving prepared, completing assignments on time, and respecting others. It also describes an in-class simulation where students represent regions of Canada and must reach consensus on national policies.

It discusses bibliographic databases, article search tools, Google Scholar, online newspapers, audiovisual resources, and referencing software. Specific databases, news sources, and libraries mentioned include JSTOR, Sociological Abstracts, Article Search+, ProQuest Newspapers, BBC archives, Senate House, and referencing tools like Zotero.
This document discusses various optimizations that can be performed for Hive queries and tables, including:
1. Using row format SERDE instead of delimited fields to improve performance of Hive tables.
2. Optimizing queries by using intermediate tables, bucketing tables by keys, and compressing tables using ORC format.
3. Setting various configuration parameters like map/reduce tasks, memory settings, and disabling speculative execution to optimize query performance.
4. Mentioning that Apache Tez and Pig can also be used for query optimization.
