Referring to voices independent of owners also contributes to the haunted, ghostly aspect of the story from Quentin's perspective. The Role of Romero vs. the Catholic Church: The Salvadoran Civil War The tragedies of the civil
war in El Salvador brought focus to the many issues of oppression, under representation, and
inequality apparent amongst the Salvadoran working class during the later twentieth century. The
outbreak of the war began much like civil wars in neighboring countries, consisting of the lower
class demanding land and policy reformations, as elites feared the uprisings would result in socialist
geared politics that jeopardized their status. Amidst the fighting between the two social classes, the
Catholic Church, as a whole, maintained a somewhat neutrality status and refused to publically
support one group over the other. Thus, much opposition to the... Show more content on

Author Edward T. Brett argues that Romero had a very prophetic approach [that] was a highly
effective method of leadership during his three year tenure of office (Brett 717). He uses the
term prophetic to refer to the similar ways in which Romero preached his sermons to the
underprivileged campesinos in order to also publically represent them, much like Jesus
preached to the poor to represent the persecuted Christians. However, the term itself can be
problematic because also like Jesus, Romero was tormented by his fellow bishops for catering to
the needs of the poor. Not all bishops and clergymen at the time had captured the essence of
liberation theology teachings and feared they were too radical to preach to the campesinos.
However, Romero believed that the equality of Salvadorans was more important than their
integration into the elite society. He focused many of his preachings on the need to put an end to
violence and determine a right from wrong. In Romero s last sermon, just before he called for
soldiers to refuse to obey orders, (Wood 27) he gave special attention to the need to reinstall
distinct human rights within a country in its own exodus (Romero 3) and that both groups alike
should call for, respect for the dignity of the person, hope for humanity s common good, and the
transcendence that look before all to God and only

the nation who may have grueling feelings towards Barack Obama. This high comedy meme is
able to create laughter among some Americans, including myself, while still having disapproving
feelings towards our nation s president. Grumpy Cat, also known as Tardar Sauce to her family,
gained her fame in late September of 2012. A photo of Tardar Sauce posted on Reddit, a popular
social networking site, and news website where registered community members can submit content.
The photo quickly went viral from the help of BuzzFeed and CNBC. Within 48 hours of the
original Grumpy Cat post, 300 posts associated with Grumpy Cat were submitted to Reddit. Her
owner was able to quit her job during the first week of the original post (Knowyourmeme.com).
Since 2012, the memes of Grumpy Cat have gotten increasingly stronger. Rather than just relabeling
the original photo, meme makers took their Grumpy Cat creativity to the next level. Different

4. Analysis Of The Fountain Of Vaucluse
On September 26, 2017 I visited the Dallas Museum of Art where I saw The Fountain of Vaucluse
by Thomas Cole. The oil on canvas painting, displays a rocky landscape which captures the beauty
of nature and civilization while also provoking thought in the viewer. An individual s nature to hope
for something better than the current discomfort he or she is experiencing is portrayed through
Cole s use of colorand environmental contrast in this piece. The work is very smooth and fluid
making it appear much like a photograph. The oil is not built up on top of itself keeping it very
two dimensional. The colors vary between dark and lightthroughout the painting. In the top right
corner, the sun, outside the painting, shining down, aluminates the castle and also the lone tree at
the bottom left corner. Besides the back cliff, the rest of the painting is in shadow and displayed
in a much more melancholy tone. The colors that Cole focuses on, to display the sharp contrast
between rock and nature, are mostly dark greens and gold. The striking blue of the river stands out
dramatically from the rest of the colors and draws the eyeafter the initial citing. The grey in the
cloud is the only place where I can find that shade of gray in the work, and it sets itself apart from
the snow white clouds in the background. The color helps draw the eye immediately to the castle
on the hill. My eyes then fallow the flow of the river down to the tree, which is illuminated by a
beam of sunlight.

5. Our Town
Our Town by Thornton Wilder continues to be a timeless theatrical work performed pervasively
throughout the world. This play remains a modern classic due to Wilder s ingenuity in capturing
the quintessential expression of the life cycle. Wilder segmented his play into three acts; each act
broadly encompassing a different phase in a person s life. The play presents the audience with
situations parallel to the ones almost everyone faces during their lifetime. This, in conjunction
with breaking the fourth wall, allows for the audience to feel a part of the performance. The title
of the play itself lends to this feeling, for it is not my town or your town, but it s Our Town. This
play emphasizes the idea that in the grand scheme of things, all... Show more content on

What started out as an elated and upbeat play, becomes a dark and sad reflection on the human
inability to appreciate the lives they live. Emily s death is predominantly the reason the play is so
effective and affecting. The audience sees themselves the most within Emily. Her death reveals the
basic rhetorical purpose of the play, that within the most common events lie the most remarkable
meanings of our lives. In realizing the beauty of the mundane aspects of life can we fully
appreciate the gift we have. Wilder suggests that, just as youth is wasted on the young, life is also

6. Why Is Casablanca Movie Set
1. What is the setting for Casablanca? How does the film establish this setting? If you were
creating a theatrical production of the play upon which the film is based, how would you
establish the setting on stage? The setting for the movie looked as if it was around the 1980 s.
The movie has a sort of mellow feeling to it because of how calm all the actors and actresses are
performing. If i were to do a theatrical performance on this i would have set all the scenes in a way
where it would fit the 1980 s attitude, such as clothing and accent.
2. Describe three different camera shots the director uses in Casablanca. What effect does each of
these shots have on the plot, mood, etc. of the film? Three different camera shots that they had in
the movie was, high angle, birds eye and eye level. The effects that it gives can be explained i n
numerous ways, such as the high angle to show what the existing environment around what they
are talking about or filming, then there is the bird s eye view which shows more of the detail of
what the cameraman is filming, and then there is the eye level that will pretty much be the basic
idea of getting what important while filming a person or object.

lighting in any way for a stage production of the scene? Why or why not? Well if i were to do a
movie on Casablanca i would not have made the movie black and white, but the way that the film
had its lighting was pretty good, but in some parts like in the time period 4:04 before the man stole
the other man s wallet they were under a shadow which showed that there was light out, but when it
came to the detail of the face, it was not so great. I would have changed this by having some type

7. The Last Supper By Leonardo Da Vinci
The Last Supper is one of the most famous works of Leonardo da Vinci. This work is considered
his most ambitious painting, and it is as famous as the portrait of Mona Lisa, the most notable
and well known work of Leonardo. The Last Supper was started in the year 1495 and completed in
1498. This work of art was conceived on the wall of the refectory of the Monastery of Santa Maria
delle Grazie, Milan, Italy, during the High Renaissance period. The Last Super is a realistic work

Perhaps, the humidity accelerated the deterioration process, and by 1510 it began to fade out and
deteriorate. Restorations has been held since 1726, as a tentative to keep this giant work that has
suffered with many obstacles as a cut to open a doorway and bombing from the World War II.
The Last Supper is a biblical visual interpretation of one the major events in the life of Jesus. It
depicts the final meal that Jesus shared with his 12 apostles, the night before he was betrayed.
This piece of art is a realist representational, in which the artist painted the subjects with high
level of detail reproducing real expressions on each subject. Leonardo intended to make Jesus the
main object of this work of art. In order to make it possible, he positioned Jesus at the center of
the composition, and the vanishing point makes all lines of the room converge on Jesus head,
giving him more attention on the scene and creating the sensation of holiness. This sensation is
reinforced by the position in which Jesus sits. His body has a triangular form, and all the apostles
are close to him but not in his space. The subjects are placed in symmetrical balance in which the
viewers see two groups divided by Jesus who is the subject to be the focal point.
The usage of chiaroscuro technique provides a sense of softness and natural feeling to the painting,
it because

The first time I saw Edward Cullen, I was 13 years old. It was Easter Sunday and instead of
waking up to a basket full of sugary treats; I spent my morning helping my drunk father sober up
by making two pots of strong, black coffee. Taking care of Charlie was nothing out of the
ordinary; my mother had died during childbirth so I learned early on how to cook, clean and even
pay the occasional bill. Dealing with his growing bouts of inebriation, however, was something
entirely unexpected and new. Charlie always drank the occasional beer while watching the game
on Sundays, but his sudden habit of coming home plastered and even on some nights not coming

I m already running late so you will just have to come with me. Bella, you need to do exactly

rarely spoke to me using that tone, so I knew he meant business; I nodded my head and put my
jacket on as I followed him out the door. I found it peculiar when we took a taxi to the restaurant
instead of Charlie s Toyota, but upon reflection, realized my father was still not coherent enough
to drive. When we arrived and entered the lobby, Charlie pointed to a plush red velvet sofa that
sat against the wall and told me to sit down and wait for his return. I was alone in the room so I
took advantage of my isolation and meandered around, admiring the photographs that hung on
the surrounding walls. They were of famous people who had eaten at the restaurant and signed
pictures to commemorate their visits. It was apparent by the numerous photos; Volturi s was a

wondered if any celebrities were among the diners. My curiosity got the best of me and I
foolishly decided to take a quick peek. I attempted to remain cool as I strolled casually into the
room, but my shoe caught on the plush carpeting, causing me to lose my balance and topple
straight into a table. To make matters even worse, I managed to knock over a glass of wine as well.

Introduction I will be exploring and distinguishing two personal goals and two professional goals
in relation to developing a strong and resilient mind. We will find methods that would help achieve
these goals. We will be creating scenarios that for each personal goal established and what method
used to achieve that goal.
First personal goal is to pay more attention and ask questions if I do not hear correctly. I may
seem bit off in my own world to say the least but it is nothing of the sort. I do listen; however, I do
not always hear them due to my bad hearing from military service. I do not like annoying people

timeline. Instead of being easily overwhelmed and anxious, I step back and reassess the situation. I
breath, smile, and simply correct the issue before the passing deadline comes. By doing this, I
come across grounded, professional, and dealt the situation in a positive manner.
Second professional goal would be more mindful and understanding to the client when trying the
understand there needs. Being a retired graphic shop team leader, I had to deal directly with clients
and try to understand their needs. At times this was no easy task, for a client may not always know
what he/she may want. This can be truly confusing and even annoying.
Methods would be to practice mindfulness, be positive, and gradually offer ideas to him/her to
help the process be easier for both parties (Mercola, 2013). It seems to be easier for the client to
deal with a more laid back, positive, and more mindful representative, for he/she may not know
much of anything with my trade. This would be more welcoming for the client room for ideas

10. The Demon Lover And The Disturbing Lover
Marriage has been an important aspect of life for thousands of years. While the world has not
always married people formally, the link between a wife, her husband, and both their families has
been a significant part of history; however, things change. Many women cheat and have children
that are not their husbands . It has been a problem since Mesopotamian society; at least, that is as
far back as society can trace it. Ancient societies started making laws against the adultery of a
womanand punished them for cheating. While the laws have disappeared, adultery has still
continued through history. Both the The Demon Lover by Elizabeth Bowen and the Scottish
ballad The Daemon Lover deliver messages in order to warn women to stay faithful to their
partners, no matter the circumstances. Bowen s The Demon Lover expresses a warning to
women during times of war. The story takes place at the beginning of World War 2 and tells the
tale of a woman, Mrs. Drover, who remarried after her fiance was presumed dead during his time
in the war, but many years later, received a letter from him. She was awestruck, but she had a

Both stories have the woman remarry and have kids (though the number of kids varies) and the
woman reunites with the man in some form, whether through the letter in Bowen s story or in

ship and the couple going to hell and Bowen s story ends in the taxi speeding away without
mercy, (arguably) taking the taxi driver, the Devil, and Mrs. Drover to hell. Both stories varied in
details. The number of children changed and the story of the woman changes. The ballad is more
straight to the point and conveys the message quickly in contrast to The Demon Lover in which the
story is more descriptive and is left to deeper

12. Corrections in teh Criminal Justice System
When most people hear the term, corrections they probably think of prisons, striped uniforms,
cellblocks, armed guards, and surly prisoners. Part of American corrections is prisons, but
corrections is much more than that. Corrections includes prisons, jails, halfway houses, group
homes, probation, parole, intensive supervision, electric monitoring, restitution programs, victim
offender mediation, and even the death penalty. Correctionscan be defined as all that society does
to and with offenders after they have been found guilty of a crime. Corrections even includes
some things done to offenders prior to conviction, such as detention in jails pending adjudication
of guilt and programs for offenders who are diverted out of the criminal system. I will start this
paper by exploring early corrections in the United States. The village style, communal life of
colonial America did not lend itself to extensive use of institutional incarceration. Resources and
expertise for erecting jails or prisonfacilities were non existent. A few jails were used as short
term housing facilities for those awaiting trial or imposition of a sentence. Some offenders
served short jail terms, but one reason jails were not used as frequently as in later times was due
to economics. Even today, jails and prisons are a financial drain on society. It is expensive to feed
and house prisoners. Another economic motive has been connected to the scarce use of prisons and
jails. Incarcerated prisoners

14. How To Write A Rhetorical Analysis Of A Snowstorm
This painting is about a lower class family that is going through a snowstorm in the middle of the
winter to survive instead of just staying inside the warm house. This painting is called the
snowstorm and was painted by Francisco Goya to illustrate a lighter but still hard time in life. This
painting is about a family out in a snowstorm and illustrates a lot about the character of the family
with the hardships that they went through, along with the desperation and willpower to survive.
While the family is out in the middle of the snowstorm they have many hardships to deal with.
The family is all grouped together in the middle of the painting with their jackets wrapped
around them and their heads facing down to keep warm with snow in every direction of them as
if they don t want to travel. This shows that the family is cold and, yet they have to face the
hardship of the winter. The tree next to the family is severely swayed to the right the branch in
front of the family was broken off from the tree and laying on the ground showing how hard it was
to face the cold and wind of the storm. A dog is in front of the family at attention on all four feet
with the dog s paw prints trailing the dog showing that the family is moving in the direction
away from the prints. There is a dead pig draped across and the back of a mule and tied down to it,
along with a man on the left side has a gun in between his arms tucked into his body as if he is the
one who hunts the food for the family.

Rhetorical Analysis of The Ugly Tourist Daily, hundreds of thousands of people are traveling,
whether it s by plane, car, bus, boat, or foot, people are traveling to new locations and being
immersed in different cultures. Many fail to realize how ignorant of a tourist they are. Kincaid
explains that tourists are morally ugly and use other, less fortunate people, for their own
amusement. She tries to enlighten those who are privileged to be more considerate when they are
visiting new places. Published author Jamaica Kincaidwrote The Ugly Tourist, originally written in
her book, A Small Place, where she tries to convince readers that tourists are, a piece of rubbish
(207). Kincaid s attempt to convey to the audience that tourists are ignorant and morally ugly is
partially successful, due to her satisfactory emotional appeal, yet inability to produce a less
angry tone, along with minimal logical appeal. To begin, Kincaid uses emotional appeal
throughout the essay to further her argument. She begins by painting the audience a picture of
themselves in their everyday life. Walking with an everyday crowd, they begin to realize how
alone you feel in this crowd, how awful it is to go unnoticed, how awful it is to go unloved
(Kincaid 206). Kincaid starts off her piece by making her audience feel isolated and alone, setting
the tone for the rest of the piece. She makes the everyday audience, who can afford to escape their
everyday life, feel unappreciative of their situation. This furthers her argument by making the
audience feel poorly about things they may take for granted, that many natives from poorer
countries cannot afford. They may have the luxury to travel outside of their bubble, while natives
do not have the same luxury as them. In addition, Kincaid makes the reader feel embarrassed.
Kincaid restates, An ugly thing, that is what you are when you become a tourist, an ugly, empty
thing, a stupid thing, a piece of rubbish pausing here and there... behind their closed doors they
laugh at your strangeness (207). She gives the reader the idea that the natives are mocking tourists
because they are not familiar with their surroundings. Where people should feel the joy of
exploring new places, Kincaid

16. Juvenile Justice And Juvenile Delinquency
Juvenile Justice has been a work in progress from the beginning of the program because of the
evolving mentality of the generations. The purpose of Juvenile Justice was to correct the behavior
of the juvenile delinquents and rehabilitation through a probationary period monitored by an
individual who paid for bail and periodically reported behavior changes to courts. (Mulligan 2009)
We do justice to the youth offenders by understanding the history of Juvenile Justice restorative
programs, the alternatives to incarceration, and how to help them amend their actions and behavior.
The history of Juvenile Justice went from incarceration with adults to reform back to incarceration
in separate facilities and similar rights as adult offenders.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Because of the efforts, juvenile court spread to 46 states by 1925. (Eskin, 1991) Constitutional
rights were given to juvenile offenders in 1967, when the Juvenile Justice was under scrutiny for
unfair treatment. A Supreme Court reviewed a case that sentenced a 15 year old Gerald Gault to
detention until the age of 21 for making an obscene phone call. The Supreme Court case determined
that juveniles are entitled to many of the same adult rights and have the right to know their charges,
have legal representation, and the right not to testify against their own selves. (Eskin, 1991) It is
beneficial for society to know and understand the Restorative programs and how juveniles can
amend their actions and correct their behavior. (Hagan and King 1992) Juvenile Justice is often
thought of as dealing with juveniles who commit theft or unruly. Society today has to face the
reality that the current generation of juveniles are committing crimes such as murder, drug
offenses, and sexual assaults. Restorative justice is known through objectives and in contrast to the
former retributive and rehabilitative beliefs of punishment. (Mulligan 2009) Community based
juvenile justice programs focus on developing the competency development of the youth offender
to ensure the youth successful completion of the programs in order to exit the juvenile justice
system and become contributing law abiding members of the community. The

Changmin closed his eyes and allowed his other senses to be engulfed with what was only him.
His smell, touch, sound and overall presence. How can one person demand so much with so little?
Changmin was caught very much in his web of charms; just like a fly caught by the spider. The
more he struggled the more he found himself unable to fly away.
The strong hands that held his own body so close and the lips that brushed over his skin ever so
lightly. Melting, Changmin was melting in his arms like putty. You belong to me. Those words

Changmin does not remember his past lives. In a few moments he will not remember this but open

According to the text, Fortunately it was early, and they went through back streets, so few people

This was clearly not very ordinary for the townspeople and so the familyworried about being seen.

20. How Are Brahman And God Similar In Western Religions
Journal Reflection 1
Madison Dever
How are Brahman and God similar in Western Religions? How are they different? Why? Brahman
and God have many similarities and differences. Brahman is the ultimate, infinite Godhead of
Hinduism while God is the head of many different Western Religions such as Christianity. Both are
infinite and limitless. They are also very different, Brahman is a human being divine self , which
remains formless, while Christianity s God is the creator of human beings who are devotees who
follow God. This infinite center of every life, this hidden self or Atman, is no less than Brahman,
the Godhead. Body, personality, and Atman Brahman a human self is not completely accounted for
until all three are noted. (Smith 21) Both Brahman and God have infinite power. Brahman is the
human self but has a being that never dies and is unrestricted. The ultimate goal in Hinduism is to
achieve this realization of one self to earn liberation (moksha). In Christianity, God is seen as an ...

21. Gender Roles In Remember The Titans
Most people don t realize that the media play up the stereotypes and gender roles that are out
there. We don t realize that the movies and television shows we watch feed into the stereotypes
and gender roles that we believe in. Remember the Titans, directed by Boaz Yakin, tells the story
about a high school football coach, Herman Boone, attempting to integrate T.C. Williams High
School in Alexandria in 1971. Boone coming to T.C. Williams High School really upset many
parents and students. When the parents of the football players found out he was going to be
helping the head coach, Bill Yoast, many were fuming with anger. Why? Because he is African
American. Parents did not want their children playing African American children in sports or
sitting next to them in classrooms. This movie is based on a true story and the film challenges
everything we claim we know about discrimination and racism in school. Boone and his family
face horrible experiences when moving to Alexandria. When moving to the neighborhood,
many neighbors were so upset but many were also happy that he didn t back down. He was
offered the head coach position but turned it down because he felt it would be incredibly
disrespectful to Coach Yoast. Boone Yoast agreed to make the relationship work. The African
American students meet with Coach Boone in the gym, the meeting turns into a disaster when
Coach Yoast and the white students arrive and disturb the meeting. Gerry Bertier was one of the
students among the crowd of white students to interrupt. I m Gerry Bertier. I m the only All
America you got on this team. If you want us to play for you, you reserve over half the positions
...we don t need any of your people on defense we re already set. said by Gary Bertier to Coach
Boone. Boone makes it clear that all players will be on the team regardless of the color of their
skin. Many stereotypes come into play at this point in the movie. The coaches gather up all the
players so they can go to training camp at Gettysburg College, while gathering the students on a
bus, Boone makes the players sit next to each other. Neither one of the ethnic groups like this very
much. Once they get to the camp, they get paired to room together. One of the

Three years ago, my best friend was prescribed four different medications for three mental
illnesses; bipolar disorder, depression, and ADHD. On these medications I saw a side of him I

they hand out prescriptions like candy. Often children will be put on many medications, but it is
very hard to diagnose them with a mental illness or to know if they are just acting the way
children do. Many doctors use prozac for a variety of illnesses, but all illnesses need to be
treated differently because everybody is different. In addition, in 2006 a 4 year old girl died

Merton believed that communalism, universalism, disinterestedness, and organized skepticism
should be the standards that produce good scientific evidence. Communalism is the idea is that all
theories should be commonly owned by all scientists and the original discoverer should trade the
theory for fame and recognition. Communalism is the thinking that a discovery should not be an
individual s but rather the discovery and its products should be shared among the scientific

discoverer s race, class, gender, religion, or nationality, etc. This idea omits favoritism and
discrimination and produces an impartial platform for all scientists and their findings.
Disinterestedness is the notion that good scientists must act unselfish when judging or creating a
new theory. This thought is necessary because there would be too much bias within the theory if
the scientist acted in a selfish manner, such as choosing only data that suspiciously match with one
s hypotheses. Finally, organized skepticism is the opinion that good scientists must test and
scrutinize thoroughly new theories before they become accepted by the scientific community.

28. Analysis Of Time Out Of Joint By Philip K. Dick
Moral power held by literature or art has often smashed against some form of material power and
censorship. For instance, books against the ideas of the Nazi regime such as Marx s The
Communist Manifesto were burnt in the Nazi s book burning of 1933 and The Bible is currently
banned from North Korea. Authors have therefore been pressured into finding a method to avoid
the strict restrictions forced by material power. In this paper, I will argue that Philip K. Dickwas able
to criticize the government and the situation of America in the 1960s, without suffering
consequences, thanks to the generation of a time shift in his novel and the construction of a
parallel between story and history hence manipulating the line between fiction and reality.
Philip K. Dick wrote Time Out of Joint in 1959 expressing his criticism on the war and on the
hysteria generated by the Red Scare. However, he could not directly criticize the government and
had to recur to the use of literary devices such as symbolism, irony, parallels and, most importantly,
a time shift between the author s present and the setting of the novel. From 1949, when the Soviets
tested their own atomic bomb, the tension between America and the USSR, accumulated since the
aftermath of the World War, came to a peak. The economic and social differences between the two
countries led people in America to associate Communism with the enemy, resulting in an increasing
collective hysteria on the perceived threat posed by

30. The Horrifying Shower Scene in Alfred Hitchcock s Film,...
In this essay I will be doing a close analysis on the famous shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock s
Psycho, 1960. I will be looking at the mise en scГЁne, performance, cinematography, editing, and
the manipulation of sound. I will also be looking at themes that are explored in the film and what
messages they convey to the audience. I will be using some theories to help analyze this particular
sequence.
At the beginning of the clip we can see the Marion flushing pieces of paper down the toilet in a
close up shot. Diegetic sound of the flushing is used. The close up reveals that the pieces of
paper were a key prop in the film and the audience is left wondering why the Marion has disposed
the paper. This suggests that Hitchcock has used a red herring because the audience may assume
she has done this because the paper may have had evidence that would prove that she is guilty of
something. This also creates an enigma because we suspect that she has a secret hat she is keeping.
Enigmas and red herrings are usually found in thriller films to create mystery and tension.
The Sound before the Marion get s into the shower is very quiet as we only hear non diegetic
music that slowly builds up to frightening slow pace music which creates tension for the audience
as it notifies us that something is about to happen. When the scene moves to Marion being in the
shower the music stops and you can just hear the sound of the shower when it comes on. We can
see that the shower curtains are

College athletics have become huge business. Therefore, coaches are under pressure to sign the

the rules every year to gain an advantage in recruiting. Unfortunately, many programs, like
Louisville, use sex or money to entice athletes to come to their program (ESPN, 2015).
Some programs are even using their uniforms as a recruiting tool (Crabtree, 2013). Our post literate

Jane Eyre is a classical novel written in 1947 by Charlotte Bronte, who at the time was also

Eyre who begins her life under the care of an Aunt, Mrs. Reed. Both Jane s parents have died

The importance of friendship is considered a significant element throughout this noel. Soon after

nice to Jane. Ever since the first night when Helen provided Jane with food, Jane realized that
Helen was a kind hearted and noble person and decided therefore that Helen was her first and best

In contrast to Helen s personality, Jane has the total opposite approach to life. She is short
tempered and will say what she thinks despite the circumstances. She is sincere, straightforward
and does not fear to articulate her point of view however fallacious it may be.
One factor of Jane Eye which interests the reader is the relationship between Jane, her Aunt and her
cousins, compared to Jane s relationship with Helen. Despite the blood relation between Jane and
her aunt and cousins, they treat Jane with sincere disrespect and animosity.
Then Mrs. Reed subjoined: Take her away to the red room, and lock her in there . Four hands were
immediately laid upon me, and I was borne upstairs .

35. Campaign Address For President Analysis
God bless the people of the mighty nation. Let me start out by saying that today my family and I
stand before you and thank you for your strength and perseverance through this long hard fought
battle. We know that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was by our side he whole way. My wife
Heidi and I, and our two amazing daughters Catherine and Caroline would like to thank the
Republican National Committee and the great people of America for their support and
nomination for the republican Presidential candidate. With this nomination, us as a nation have
proven that we will not be intimidated by angry, loudmouthed, racist, sexist, bullies. Nor will we
fall into the death grip that corporate wealth has on politics. Our Grassroots army has shown that
we are willing to fight for what we believe in and are strong enough to fight off our opponents. As
we march on to the Presidential election in November, we will gain strength, we will gain

candidates personal flaws over their campaign flaws. Together we will stop the threat of ISIS to
democracy, we will rebuild the American Military, we will secure our borders, and we will protect
the Constitution of the United States of America written by our forefathers. We have come this far.
We will not settle for this, we will fight on to victory. We will win the election against the radical
socialist democrats. We will restore true great american ideals back into Washington. Tonight we
celebrate a victory for the Grassroots army, tonight we celebrate a victory for courageous
conservatives all across the nation. Thank you and God bless every single one of you.

Weed , pot , chronic , sticky icky , and many others, are all nicknames for the widely popular and
intoxicating narcotic known as marijuana. The drug has a history that can be traced as far back as
10,000 BCE. However, it is currently most commonly used to smoke for its mind altering effects.
The narcotic marijuana gives its users a temporary feeling of relaxation, tranquility, and hilarity.
Unfortunately, the disadvantages and potential dangers heavily outweigh the benefits. Our current

However, unlike tobacco smoke, the cancer causing agents in marijuana are far more potent and
concentrated. Five joints over the course of a week is the equivalent to a packet cigarettes
during the same time period. It is important to understand that by inhaling carcinogens over a
long period of time could result in an extremely high risk of cancer. Inhaling the carcinogens
from marijuana smoke regularly causes respiratory damage and can even cause issues with
breathing similar to that of cigarette smokers. Destruction of lung tissue is a result of exposure to
the narcotic over a long period of time. Cannabis is also detrimental to the male and female
reproductive systems. In the case of males, marijuana causes a decrease in male testosterone
levels. Sperm count and structure is affected when the user is exposed to marijuana regularly.
Sperm count is often lowered temporarily because of marijuana and the drug may even cause
alterations to the structure and construction of the sperm. For females, the drug can harm the
menstrual cycle. These effects can create difficulty when trying to procreate, carry and deliver
children. Mothers who have conceived a child and are now pregnant must refrain from drug use, as
mother s who use the narcotic can weaken the unborn child. This can cause the child to have
dramatically larger risks of serious health problems in the future. It is

An epic hero is someone who goes down in history as being brave, courageous, and obviously
heroic. They don t have to be asked to save the day, and often times, they aren t even saving their
own people. There are several epic poems that come to mind when thinking about European
culture and where it came from. These stories are held as sacred to many different people, and
will always be studied whenever the topic of government or culture comes up. In these poems, or
stories, there is always a herothat the story is centered around, often times even named for. These
heroes include Achilles, Odysseus, Aeneas, Socrates, Gilgamesh, Beowulf, and Arthur; there are
certain things about these men that make them heroes.

439) Unlike Achilles, Odysseus is a king. He rules his country with a firm hand, but cares for his
subjects. During the Trojan War, he is one of king Agamemnon s highest ranking officers, and is a

that he is willing to ask for help and is humble enough to take advice. Odysseus is one of the first
Greek mythic heroes renowned for his brain as well as his muscle. (Education Foundation) This
makes him all the more powerful as a ruler.
Aeneas is one who few think of when naming epic heroes, but his story is much like that of
Odysseus. While the figures of Homers work might have been praised by the Greek tangibility
Publius Vergilius Maro, a statesman and poet during the Pax Romana under Augustus would come
to harshly criticize the Greek epic ideal and redefined what it meant to be a man with his hero
Aeneas. (Krause) He goes through struggle after struggle, and is constantly tested. His bravery is
what defines him as a hero. He can seemingly endure anything. He must take a journey to the
underworld, similar to that of Odysseus.

who comes to mind. When it really comes down to it though, Socrates is more of a hero than the

different systems that we interact with on a daily basis that we do not recognize are closely tied to

With security being a big issue, we will want to make sure that the architecture document shows the
necessary aspects that make the system secure. This could be encryption algorithms or specially
designed components that make security breaches less likely. For the modifiability of the system,
we will want to have a component catalog that goes through each aspect of the system and outlines
what its functionality is. Within this document, we will also want to see the types of feature that
could possibly be added to the system and where they would recommend additional components be
built on. Figure 2: A Flow Chart of how criteria turns into architectural decisions and documentation
Database Driven Architecture One of the most prominent software architecture design strategies is
a repositorybased system. There are two different parts of repository based that we will look at:
Blackboard architecture and Database driven. Both of these styles have some common aspects, but
also differ somewhat. The main component of each system is based on a central data structure. This
data structure can interact with other aspects of the system. Also, the composition of these systems
allows there to be independent computational elements. This can allow several different processes

There have been a lot of issues throughout history that concerns African Americans. They had
issues with family, they had their strength and weakness, and they also struggled a lot from back

Family is one of the main themes in Salvage the Bones. The story reflects on how family helped
them get through a lot. Up from slavery also tells us about family. It s similar to Salvage the Bones,
but in a different perspective. Everyone would agree that African Americans had to strugglemore

The aim of the Constitution was to unify, this meant that non natives and immigrants would be
considered equal in the eyes of the law. The term, believer, frequently used in the document was not

long as they agree to the terms of the Constitution. It is important to note that some Muslim
countries today would actually be in violation of the Constitution seeing as they do believe in a

Economists often talk about letting the economy work through the mechanism of the free market
versus government control and regulation. Some believe that if the market is allowed to do its
thing unprohibited and without government interference, then resources will be allocated
efficiently, equilibrium will be found, and so on... However, this is not always possible. Of course,
government controlis not perfect either. Thus, it would seem that at times the market may be more
appropriate than the government; other times the government may be needed because the market is
not able to function properly; and other times a combination of the two working in unison may

Property rights that would lead to efficient allocations have four main characteristics: universality,
exclusivity, transferability, and enforceability. Universality is when all resources are privately
owned and the entitlements are specified. Exclusivity refers to the fact that all benefits and costs
due to owning and using the resource should be directed solely at the owner. Transferability refers
to the fact that all property rights should be transferable from one owner to another in voluntary
exchange. And finally, enforceability simply means that all property rights should be secure from
involuntary seizure by others. With all of these in place, one would certainly use a resource
efficiently because a decline in the value of the resource would represent a personal loss.
Furthermore, individuals will only buy as much of something so that the marginal cost is equal to
the marginal benefit that they receive from purchasing it. And thus, with these defined property
rights in place the market indeed would prevail.
Environmental problems are one important class of circumstances in which the market economic
system is not always efficient. This occurs most especially because of the presence of externalities,
and the fact that the agents making the decisions do not bear

Because to Err is human, operating room staff members should have fail safe provisions in place in

There are a number of potential causes of popliteal and femoral nerve block errors that can be

inadequate communication with team members or one patient having multiple procedures done.
