The weird start
This story has a weird beginning. I thought that the first chapter of So B. by Sarah Weeks it was going
to be an introduction and all. But it was talking about dinosaur skin color. Then all these thing started
popping in my head like if the whole book will be about dinosaur skin color, why did the author
choose to start her story this way. This is why i choose to write an essay about it. But I found the first
sentence of the story unique, Something you won t see in other books.
The first sentence was, If the truth was a crayon and it was up to me to put a wrapper around it and
name its color, I know just what I would call it dinosaur skin. It didn t really make sense to me in the
beginning. It made me feel like the book was about dinosaur skin color or something i wonder why the
Author add that part and on the first chapter. The title of this chapter was Heidi, maybe the Author
thought that heidi the main character of the book liked dinosaurs, so she should include it in the story.
I looked at one of the leads that the Author might of started the story with and the beginning with but

Henry Goodcole was a prison visitor and author [and was] best known for a series of criminal

plot of the movie, but, to explain my motivation for writing this, I will simply describe one portion of
the movie.
The scene at issue in my mind right now is one where a fourteen year old girl comes to the orphanage
which is the setting for part of the movie. This girl came to the orphanage because it was known in the

In the movie, Homer is an orphan, and this may provide an interesting perspective in regards to the
status of the fetus. As an unwanted child himself, he empathizes with the unborn children that he
refuses to destroy.
So far, all we have talked about really is the emotion of the question of abortion. The purpose of this
essay (which will not be very long), is to examine these lines of reasoning, and to come to some
conclusion about the differing philosophies of these two characters.
The doctor s argument is, as I mentioned, very much a utilitarian one, and as you know, this sort of

abortion is wrong, and that is as far as his reasoning has to go.

African American Literature Reflection Paper
Before starting this class, African American Literature, I wasn t too sure what to expect. I had never
taken an AFAS class before but I had heard great things from my friends so I decided to take one.
Professor Carter was an amazing professor and always sounded to extremely passionate and excited
during class which I found very admirable. The way he spoke about the different aspects of the class
and the different pieces of writing was very intriguing and always held my attention in class. We read
a variety of African American literature in this class which included novels, poems, and short stories
and each and every one of them related perfectly to what we were talking about during that time in
class. We studied different authors and their writing styles, as well as different eras including the
Harlem Renaissance.
The thing that set this class apart from the rest was the use of multimedia in the class. This included
the weekly voice threads, the live videos each class period, and the multimedia projects throughout the
semester. This was my favorite part of the class. I loved how the professor didn t just want us to
express our opinions of the literature in projects, but he wanted us to express our opinions in the most
creative ways. We were assigned weekly voice threads which allowed us to answer several questions

Trees Climbing Strategies For A Novel Tree Climbing
Abstract This paper focuses on tree climbing strategies for a novel tree climbing robot that is named as
Tree bot. The proposed concept aims to guide Tree bot in climbing along an optimal path by the use of
micro controller, minimal sensing resources and servo grippers. Inspired by inchworms, the concept
reconstructs the shape of a tree simply by the use of tactile sensors. It reveals how the realization of an
environment can be achieved with limited tactile information. An efficient motion planning strategy is
also proposed to make Tree bot climb on an optimal path. This is accomplished by the prediction of
the future shape of the tree. There are many requirements for motion in vertical direction. Climbing is
one of the means for accessing these matters.

Hughes s The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain (1926)
The article The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain by Hughes (1926), the author shows a situation
that the African Americans felt underestimated for being black and attempted to embrace whites
culture. This was because white people looked down on them during that era. He shows this by
expressing his disappointment with a statement made by one of the most promising of the young
Negro poets who says that, I want to be a poet not a Negro poet, meaning behind that, I want to be
white. (Par 1) He wanted to be white so that his artwork would be better accepted. Not only this young
Negro wanted to be white for him to be uplifted in the society, but also some other black people
wanted to be white as well for them to be estimated and respected.
According to Hughes, this statement of denying being black was the mountain standing in the way of
any true Negro art in America this urge within the race towards whiteness, the desire to pour racial
individuality into the mold of American standardization, and to be a little Negro and as much

Although many people may feel that concerns relating to physical fitness in adolescents should be the
absolute responsibility of parents, I personally believe that our educational system can also play a very
