Teaching Python to 9 Year Old Girl - map moverCraig Oda
Curriculum to teach 9 year old girl python. It works. This exact lesson has been tested multiple times with a 9 year old girl. It is known to work and was continually refined whenever she encountered a problem. This method is based on a series of repetitive drills and is part of the PyChildren video series. Links to the first three lessons are included at the end of the deck.
A Brief Overview of BIBFRAME, by Angela KroegerAngela Kroeger
Short presentation given ALCTS CaMMS Forum on Bibframe: Notes From the Field, at ALA Midwinter, February 1, 2015. ABSTRACT: Overview of the current status of BIBFRAME development, including a brief introduction to what BIBFRAME is and what it does, which tools are available or under development, a glimpse what fully-implemented linked data looks like, a closer look at the four core classes of the BIBFRAME model, and a dab of philosophy.

Design That Matters: Pelican Pulse Oximeter User Experience StudyVictoria Young
In an MIT + RISD collaboration, we designed, prototyped, and patented an infant pulse oximeter design. The Pelican is a pulse oximeter device designed especially for newborns in the developing world. With Design That Matters, this project raised over $20,000 on IndieGoGo. To kickoff the project, we conducted user experience research to better understand the pain points and frustrations of our primary users.
"Material testing and hyperelastic material model curve fitting for Ogden, Polynomial and Yeoh models"
By Michael Rackl, Technische Universität München for ScilabTEC 2015
Effective irrigation scheduling moves beyond simply calculating how many hours to run an irrigation system per week to meet the water demand, and looks at the agronomic issues root zone development, and the movement of water and salts through the soil profile. Participants will learn how to "park" plant nutrients in the root zone, increasing fertilizer efficiency while minimizing nitrate loss through deep leaching.

This talk was first given in 2009 at Lindholmen Software Day. I uploaded it since I realized that the content is still as relevant!
Today agile development has become mainstream. Almost 80% of companies in a survey from 2009 reported that they were doing agile development. So, has agile delivered on its promises?
This talk suggests that the results currently displayed by most organizations are quite modest compared to the spectacular results described by leading agile evangelists.
Based on ten of years experience with agile development and introducing agile to teams, the talk will provide concrete advice in three key areas for teams that want to get even better.
