2. Purpose Of Genesis
This analysis will serve the purpose of analyzing Genesis chapter one, two, and three as well as
Romans chapters one, two, and three. The author will incorporate various connections between the
chapters read and, will also, make applications on how families, churches, or society can use these
verses in their lives.
Background Information The author would say that the background to the creation story is one
of the easier ones to grasp. Simply because: that is when the world began. I would hope that, as a
Christian in a Christian school, this is not a mind blowing conclusion. According to Alex
Varughese (2006), The book of Genesis is the first book of the Torah or the Pentateuch (pg. 64).
The meaning of the book of Genesis means as it sounds; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Christians were set apart until the sin of Adam and Eve. After the sin, Christians no longer had the
easy way out. Christians have to work hard, not only on work, but also in their presentation of
Christianity. The second connection to the sin of Adam and Eve would be the list that is given in
Romans of all the sin that the people of Rome are committing. It is no coincidence that worse
and worse consequences to sin have come about since the fall of man. There is no one who
understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away they have together become
worthless; there is not one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their
tongues practice deceit, the poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing
and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way
of peace they do not know. There is not fear of God before their eyes (Romans 3:11 18, New
International Version). The most prominent correlation between Genesis and Romans would be
that sin is worse than it was at the fall of man and just as Adam and Eve sinned; man is still
sinning. No longer is their simply disobedience; now there is a list of the sins that man is
committing and willingly displaying for anyone to see. Adam and Eve were trying to hide their
sins, the people of Rome are sinning for full

3. The God Yhwh In The Book Of The Bible
The god Yhwh goes through many changes throughout the books of the hebrew bible. For
example, in the book of Genesis, Yhwh makes the entire earth, but when Eve takes food from the
tree of knowledge, he is angry because she gained knowledge of right and wrong. He seems a little
bit jealous here because he punishes them for becoming more like him. This is shown when it says,
Then Lord Godsaid, Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and
now lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever therefore
the Lord god sent him forth from the garden of eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
(28) In exodus Yhwh becomes very ruthless. The punishment for most crimes he talks about is
death. Back then this may have seemed okay, but now putting someone to death for hitting his
parent is a bit extreme. In the end he says, And if he cries to me, I will hear, for I am
compassionate. (33) like it makes up for the cruel punishments he just laid out.... Show more content

Yhwh seems much more compassionate in this book like when he says, When a stranger
sojourns with you in your land, you shall nor do him wrong. The stranger who sojourns with you
shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself... (34) Similarly, in
Deuteronomy Yhwh talks more about being fair to other people and lays down rules for how you
should treat people in the court, and in life. This example is best seen when Yhwh states, You
shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brethren or one
of the sojourners who are in your land within your

Clostridium difficile is a gram positive spore forming bacteria; first isolated and published in
1935 by Hall and O Toole. This was accomplished from the stool of a healthy infant. However, it
was not until 1978 that C. difficile was identified as being associated with many cases of antibiotic
resistant diarrhea.1 C. difficile has since become one of the leading causes of nosocomial infections
in the United States. A study conducted in 2015 has estimated that C. difficile infection has an
incident of 453,000 (95% confidence interval) in the United States.2 This has placed a tremendous
burden on the US healthcare system. According to data from 2008, C. difficile infections have

have been conducted. In order to grow C. difficile, a defined culture medium containing the
minimum essential nutrients is required. These nutrients include several essential vitamins and
amino acids. The essential vitamins include biotin, pantothenate and pyridoxine. The essential
amino acids include cysteine, isoleucine, leucine, proline, tryptophan and valine. In addition,
arginine, glycine, histidine, methionine and threonine have been shown to enhance the growth of
C. difficile.4 As a pathogen, C. difficile utilizes two main toxins. The virulence factors, toxin A
(TcdA) and toxin B (TcdB), are from the large clostridial toxins family and target the Rho and Ras
family GTPase within the host cells.5 Diversity in the genome of C. difficile have been identified
and shown to produce strains with increased virulence.6 It should be noted, however, that strains
without virulence factors, non toxigenic C. difficile (NTCD), do exist and have been shown to
colonize in humans. NCTD is a topic of interest in their potential to reduce the risk of infection by
virulent strains of C.

5. Night Of The Long Knives Research Paper
In 1934, Adolf Hitler seemed to have control over Germany. New world Encyclopedia states:
The Night of The Long Knives or Operation Hummingbird took place in Nazi Germany between
June 30 July 2, 1934 . (Newworldencyclopedia.org). Hitler ordered a purge of his own,
assassinating hundreds of Nazis who he believed could become enemies in the future
(History.com).The Night of The Long Knives occurred because Hitler worried Nazis would
become his enemies, so he took out anyone he believed to be a threat to him including the SA with
its leader Ernst Rohm and those loyal to Vice Chancellor Franz Von Papen, while also seeking to
strengthen the Reichswehr, the GermanyMilitary. In the 1930s the SA helped to bring Hitler to be a
powerful man. The Sturmabteilung (SA) operated as an independent militia and were used by
Hitler as intimidation for rivals while also disrupting the meetings of conflicting political parties

6. Understanding By Design Analysis
In order to create validity teachers must make sure that we align our curriculum to the standards
we teach. So how do we align the curriculum? To start off, alignment means the interrelationship
between the standards, assessment, and instruction we teach. To achieve this, we need to follow
the goal of alignment. The goal is student understanding. As teachers, we need to make sure we
make meaning of life s big ideas and transfer those big ideas. To accomplish the alignment goal,
Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe had designed an alignment tool that creates validity in the
classroom. The alignment tool is called Understanding by Design (UbD). UbD looks at the teacher

stage is, What do I want them to understand? The main concept to focus on in the first stage is
Standards. To organize instructional units and plan appropriate classroom activities, teachers must
unpack the standards that is, determine the various components in a meaningful sequence of learning
steps (Guskey, 2005). The first step to unpack the standards was to look at the content standards
and find the big ideas. When I had to look at my content standards, I found it easy to locate. I used
the Pennsylvania Department of Education: Standards Aligned System (SAS) to locate them but
because Family and Consumer Sciences Standards are so board but yet limited, it became
difficult. I was only able to use part of the standards towards my unit. I had to pick and choose
which standards will work the best in my unit. Once I found the right standards, I would figure out
the big idea, which in my case was Meal Planning . The second step is to take my big idea and turn
it into enduring understanding statements, also known as adult speak . Enduring understanding
statements should be something that is important to know as an adult. For my enduring
understanding, I decided to write: What I want students to understand about Meal Planning is to
effectively use meal management principles in everyday life . The third step is to create essential
questions. Essential question is also known as kid speak . This is something that is important to
know now as a student and should be relevant and engaging. For my essential question, I decided to
write: What goes into meal planning? This essential question has many different aspects the
students will need to know about the topic and can be used in future lessons and activities. The

Cognitive development Piaget theory of cognitive development. According to Piaget, there are four
stages in children and that are completed in a set order in all children. The second stage in children
is the Preoperational stage. The ages of Preoperational Stage in young children is three to six years.
Preoperational children can think in symbols and learn to interact with their environment .During
this stage, the development of language occurs. Children learn to interact with their environment
through the use of words and images. Piaget states that symbolic thought as characteristic of
preoperational thought. In symbolic thought, an object or word can stand for something else,
including something out of sigh or imagined (Berger, 10th edition pg.no. 278). Piaget states four
limits that for preoperational children to think logically, they are centration, Focus on appearance,
static reasoning, and irreversibility. He highlighted a set of experiments called conservation in
which preoperational stage children disregards logic. Conservation means the notion that the
amount of a substance remains the same even when its appearance changes (Berger, 10th
edition,pg.no.279).According to Piaget, the reason young children fails to understand conservation
is they focus (center) on what they see (appearance), noticing only the immediate (static) condition.
It does not occur to them that they could reverse the process and recreate the level of a moment

History always repeats itself now it s Somalia s turn.
The United States should be involved in the famine in Somalia by not only sending, food, water
and money, but also ways to clean and purify their own water.
Famine is something that is not very common. It is a widespread and extreme scarcity of food.
According to the United Nations, more than two people per 10,000 die each day, acute
malnutrition rates are above 30 percent, all livestock is dead and there is less than 2,100
kilocalories of food and 4 liters of water available per person per day (LeGagnoux,Borgen Project ),

Throughout Pericles, Prince of Tyre, there exists a blatant dichotomy between good and evil. The

dichotomy by analyzing the utilization of foils in Pericles. Pericles incorporates obviously corrupt
characters that contrast with virtuous counterparts. For instance, in two analogous instances
Pericles travels to a new city, attempting to court a princess. The first princess, King Antiochus

Matrimonial rights of women s under Islamic law (sharia law) (A comparative analyze between
Islamic law and srilankan Muslim law) Introduction to the Islamic law
Islamic law is a very great jurisprudence worldwide, Islamic law is defined as the law according to
the Muslim faith and as interpreted from the Quran also known as Sharia law. The sacred law of
Islam is an all embracing body of religious duties, the totality of Allah s commands that regulate
the life of every Muslim in all its aspects. Important feature of Muslim law is the fact that there is
no clear separation of Mosque (is a place of worship for followers of Islam) and state. Under
Islamic law, the religion of Islam and the government are one. Islamic law is controlled, ruled
and regulated by the Islamic religion; a theocracy. Islamic law purports to regulate all public and
private behavior including personal hygiene, diet, sexual conduct, and child rearing. Islamic law
now prevails in countries all over the Middle East and elsewhere covering 20 per cent of the
world s population. Despite its relative inflexibility, in some ways, Islamic law is superior to other

12. Build A Fire
In To Build a Fire by Jack London, a foolish man decides to hike in severely cold weather, despite
warnings from others. In the beginning he does well and keeps plenty warm. Unfortunately he
falls shin deep into cold water and has to try and build a fire so he doesn t freeze. While trying to
build the fire he makes several errors and realizes that if he doesn t get a fire going, he will die.
After several unsuccessful attempts at making a fire, more and more of his body starts to go
numb from the cold. He thinks of several irrational solutions to his predicament, all of which fail
and he eventually freezes to death. The story shows the complete indifference nature has to human
life. The hiker in To Build a Fire thinks of himself as experienced and refuses to heed the
warnings about the extreme cold he is heading into. When he is first starting out, things seem to be
going well until he falls into some water. Usually, there are some warning signs that the ground
walked upon has water underneath, but nature gave no clues and the hiker fell into its trap. At a
place where there were no signs, where the soft, unbroken snow seemed to advertise solidity

13. Examples Of Odd Behavior In America
After disembarking on my voyage, I have finally reached land. I have classified this land as
America, the land of the free. Upon my arrival, I witnessed a group of people unknown to the
outside world the modern day Americans. I have spent the past few weeks observing them along
with their behaviors. The first ritual belonging to the Americans that I studied was how they
spent majority of their day at work. Americans possess a wide variety of jobs to choose from
such as a gardener, musician, or construction worker. The Americans use the money they have
earned while at work and put it towards leisure activities; however, these activities focus primarily
around one subject themselves. This odd behavior is most observed in the women of the American
people. For example, female Americans will dedicate entire days to improving their outer
appearance; these days may include activities such as dyeing one s hair, putting on makeup,
applying fake tanner, or... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The topic of sex if often avoided in daily conversation. Not only is sex considered to be taboo,
but it is also predetermined. The American people schedule when to have sex in order to avoid
pregnancy as if pregnancy is some sort of unwanted occurrence. In order to know when it is safe
to have sex, the female Americans often track their cycle and predict when they are ovulating the
time when women are most fertile. Even after a women does become pregnant, the event is still
treated as awkward shameful even. This idea is best exemplified by the choice of dress that
pregnant women choose to wear. Female Americans, who have been impregnated, tend to choose
to wear loose and baggy clothing in order to hide their current state. Once it is time for the child to
be born, the American women will seek the assistance of a physician within a health care facility;
they typically wish to be alone when this act is taking

14. The Holocaust Was A Genocide Of More Than Five Million Jews
In the Holocaust, there were many Jews, blacks, and others killed because of the Nazi regime.
These were all crimes because of how racist and prejudice Hitler and the Nazis were to the
people they targeted. The problems with racism and the discrimination against these people, left
the country in a bad place and many had to step in. My paper will talk about the Holocaust and
how the ethnicities and groups of people, in the Holocaust were discriminated against. The Jews,
gypsies, handicapped, and homosexuals were discriminated against, abused, and killed. The
Holocaust was a genocide of more than five million Jews. They had been killed by many ways,
like gas chambers, death camps, and many other mass killing ways. The Nazis were the leaders
of the killings of the Jews and they used vans that would be poisoned with gas and weapons like
guns to kill these people they did not like. The lack of food, the really bad living conditions in
the camps was deplorable. Many were forced to do manual labor that was terrible. They just
lined people up and killed them by mass groups and tossed them into mass graves, one by one.
The Nazis had to do what they were told, because Hitler did not want any Jews to be left. And
some Nazis were traumatized by the fact they had to commit these killings, by the ways they
were told to do so. The word Holocaust, from the Greek words holos (whole) and kaustos (burned),
was historically used to describe a sacrificial offering burned on an altar

16. St. Valentines Day Massacre Of Chicago Essay
From 1924 to 1930, the city of Chicago gained a widespread reputation for lawlessness and
violence. Not coincidentally, this phenomenon coincided with the reign of chief crime lord Al
Scarface Capone, who took over from his boss Johnny Torrio in 1925. (Torrio, who was seriously
wounded in an assassination attempt in 1924, had retired to Brooklyn.) Prohibition, ushered in by
the passage of the 18th Amendment in 1920, had greatly increased the earnings of America s
gangsters through bootlegging (the illegal manufacture and sale of alcohol) and speakeasies (illicit
drinking establishments), as well as gambling and prostitution. Capone s income from these
activities was estimated at some $60 million a year; his net worth in 1927 was around... Show more

Chicago s gang related activity. Chicago s gang war reached its bloody climax in the so called St.

1929. One of Capone s longtime enemies, the Irish gangster George Bugs
Moran, ran his bootlegging operations out of a garage on the North Side of
Chicago. On February 14, seven members of Moran s operation were gunned down while
standing lined up, facing the wall of the garage. Some 70 rounds of ammunition were fired. When
police officers from Chicago s 36th District arrived, they found one gang member, Frank
Gusenberg, barely alive. In the few minutes before he died, they pressed him to reveal what had
happened, but Gusenberg wouldn t talk.Police could find only a few eyewitnesses, but eventually
concluded that gunmen dressed as police officers had entered the garage and pretended to be

17. Analysis Of The Great Dictator Charlie Chaplin
The Great Dictator written and directed by Charlie Chaplin is a film that circles around two
characters, which are both played by Chaplin. The movie begins in a time and place similar to
one where Hitler had risen to power, and started his annihilation of the Jews. Chaplin plays both
the amnesiac Jewish barber and Hynkel (Hitler), the dictator of Tomainia. Hynkel though a
powerful and ruthless dictator is often shown to be comically dwarfed both in height and
intelligence. His right hand commander, or trash guy, seems to be the one behind some of his
plans. He compliments Hynkel with words of praise then proceeds to hint at ways to destroy the
Jews, and take over the neighboring states. But as the film progresses, we see how Chaplin portrays
Hynkel as being utterly ridiculous; the man cannot seem to do anything without growing angry at
his own incompetence.
Movies like this, and a similar film, Inglorious Bastards , portray Hitler as a man who in the face
of death or immediate anger will quiver and blubber nonsense or the next second muster enough
anger to rant as loud as possible (ex: Cheese and Crackers!) I think Chaplin did good capturing the
Fuhrer s mannerisms in such an ironic way. Some of his mannerisms include the feeble, affected
hand salute; Inclination for striking ludicrous attitudes; The fabulous fits of rage and violent facial
contortions.
There were many themes I noticed in the film, and one of the most prevalent themes was the use of
satire. The use of humor and exaggeration provided a constant comic relief from the actual reality
of what was going on during this time. Although he did state at one point that he was unaware, or
not fully aware of Adolf s actions and intentions. According to an article, Chaplin wrote in his
biography that he regretted making the The Great Dictator: Had I known of the actual horrors of the
German concentration camps, I could not have made the Great Dictator; I could not have made fun
of the homicidal insanity of the Nazis. I found it interesting that in a way his film was
foreshadowing history itself. At the beginning of the film, the detective missile continues to aim at
the Jewish soldier, no matter how many times he changes directions. It felt like

DESCRIBE THE STRUCTURAL COMPARTMENTATION OF MAMMALIAN CELLS
AND THE DIFFERING FUNCTIONS OF THESE COMPARTMENTS
All mammalian cells are eukaryotic, and whilst the eukaryotic type of cell is not exclusive to
mammals, mammalian cells differ from other eukaryotic cells because of the organelles that are or
are not present. For instance some plant cells have chloroplasts which are not present in mammalian
cells, but both plant cells and mammalian cells are eukaryotic in nature. The term eukaryotic refers
to the cell having specific membrane bound organelles, which are not present in prokaryotic cells.
The defining feature of a eukaryotic cell is usually its membrane bound nucleus (the exception
being the red blood cell) [1].

The small ribosomal subunit, amongst other things, is initiates the engagement of the mRNA and
is responsible decoding the genetic information during translation [4].
The endoplasmic reticulum is specialised for protein processing and lipid biosynthesis. One of its
primary functions is to regulate the ionic concentration in the cytoplasm via the movement of
Ca2+, via ionic pumps and channels. It also contains enzymes responsible for the metabolising of
drugs. Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) can come in two forms. As depicted in Fig. 2 Rough ER has
ribosomes present as part of the membrane of the organelle, and together with these ribosomes
takes polypeptides and amino acids from the cytosol and synthesises proteins destined for
attachment to cell membranes. It is in the lumen of the rough ER that the proteins are folded into
the specific three dimensional shapes that are so important for biochemical recognition and
linking sites [6]. It is called rough because of the presence of ribosomes makes the surface of the
membrane look rough, unlike smooth ER, which lacks the ribosomes so the membrane looks
smooth. Rough ER is composed of a large but convoluted flattened sac. The main function of the
smooth ER is the production of lipids and the metabolism of compounds (such as the breakdown of
glycogen into glucose). Because of the different functions between the rough and smooth ER,
different specialised cells will have different amounts of each; for example, hepatic

Myrtle Wilson was struck by the death car. Mrs. Wilson ran out of the Wilson s building, a
garage structure for Mr. Wilson s business and the couple s house right on top. Simultaneously, a
yellow car, (spectators disagree on the color of the car, and there have not been any
confirmations on the true color of the car, however, Mr. Wilson claims to know the kind of car it

miles per hour, while Mrs. Wilson ran into the road. In a tragic event, Mrs. Myrtle Wilson was
killed instantly, with her left breast left unattached to her body and her red hair tangled with
blood, and left for dead as the death car and its owners never stopped and continued on down the
road. Mr. Wilson, absolutely distressed, was yelling in exclamations right after the death car s

a detailed and complete explanation of how and why things boiled over to begin the United State s
battle for LGBTQ+ rights, making it an optimal contender on the list of things to use to expand one
s knowledge and respect for the community and it s history.
Audience: Carter s general intended audience is the entirety of both the LGBTQ+ community and
their trusted allies. More specifically, he targets those who want to be educated on, and celebrate,
the place and the people that were involved in, as Carter himself phrases it, the dawn of the LGBT

Purpose: David Carter wrote Stonewall to function as a complete analyzation of the riots of 1969.
He wanted to create a reliable source of education over the what, when, where, why, how? of

subject of this history (2).

Carter says tremendous gains made for [the community] rather than a less complimentary phrase,
make it clear that Carter intended to appeal to the LGBT side of his

23. Major Component Of Sustainability And Its Effects On The...
Biodiversity is major component of sustainability, and it is defined as the variety of genes,
organisms, species, and ecosystems in a given area or on the planet as a whole (Miller and
Spoolman 2015, 5). Urban spaces typically lack biodiversity due to a variety of factors that cause
the destruction of ecosystems, such as replacing established ecosystems with large lawns, parking
lots, buildings, and highways. When these well established, high functioning ecosystems are
disturbed, we eliminate the variety of genes, organisms, and speciesthat lived in that ecosystem. In
doing so, we have caused stress for the organisms that live there. For example, if we fragment an
ecosystem via highway or road expansion, at a minimum we are permanently altering the
breeding and feeding relationships that existed in that ecosystem. In terms of breeding, highway
construction separates organisms of the same species and keeps them from mating. This results
in fewer genes being exchanged between organisms. Those genes could potentially be what saves
a species from extinction in the event of a disaster, such as a forest fire or flood. In addition,
highways also disrupt energy flow patterns which provide ecosystem services like a natural form
of population control. In accordance with that, the extinction of even a single species can cause a
rapid decline in a variety of organisms in that same ecosystem. This is due to the fact that many
organisms within an ecosystem have co evolved, meaning

The need for Electoral Reform in Canada Through a Mixed Electoral System
Altering the electoral system would undoubtedly benefit Canada in numerous ways through the use
of a mixed electoral system using proportional representation and alternative voting. Over the
course of Canada s history, debate over electoral reform has appeared occasionally, with varying
levels of intensity (Courtney 2005:154). Regardless, the amount of times that the topic has been
discussed, demonstrates the need for its consideration. The word change often promotes a negative
connotation, suggesting decreases in quality of government. However, it is important for one to
focus on not changing the system, but rather improving it. This can be done through different voting
methods such as proportional representation or alternative voting. Of course, there are
disadvantages that could arise from electoral reform, especially in the case of either suggested
systems. However, the vast advantages ultimately outweigh all potential consequences, justifying
this action. Conclusively, it is advantageous to undergo electoral reform through a mixed election
system of proportional representation and alternative voting, despite arguments opposed to both
matters.
To begin, electoral reform is necessary for one major reason. This reason being that the current
system Canada operates under is simply not effective. Presently, Canada uses the single member

Eutrophication is defined as the natural ageing process of natural body of water, generally
understood to refer to enrichment of water systems by nutrients, notably phosphorus and nitrogen,
and to the improved production of algal and higher plant biomass that the added nutrient loads
stimulate (Reynolds, 1992). Customarily, the eutrophication is a natural phenomenon, but during
the past decades, the word eutrophication has been frequently used to signify the artificial and
unwanted addition of plant nutrients to waterbodies (Ryding Rast, 1989). Eutrophication is a
process whereby water bodies, such as lakes, estuaries, or slow moving streams receive extra
nutrients that stimulate unnecessary plant growth (periphyton attached algae, algae, and nuisance
plants weeds). This boosted plant growth, regularly called an algal bloom, reduces dissolved
oxygen in the water when dead plant material decays and can frequently cause other water biota
(fish in particular) to perish. Nutrients can come from many sources, such as: fertilizers applied to
agricultural fields, suburban lawns, and deposition of nitrogen from the atmosphere, erosion of soil
containing nutrients and sewage treatment plant discharges. In the simplest definition,
Eutrophication is the decreasing of the water quality within a body of water (Henry, 1993).

At age 6, one would expect a kid to be innocent and have nothing but good thoughts. At an older
age though, all those innocent thoughts are taken away and that boy who was once a kid is faced
with the reality of the world. A child who is six old years old and younger shouldn t have to deal
with all that negative information about death, rejection, replacement, and the truth about society. A
movie containing all of that should not be seen by kids who are younger than seven, which is why
Tarzan is not an appropriate movie. The movie may have a happy ending, but the parts that lead up
to that ending are not as happy as one may think. Connie Zweig and Jeremiah Abrams are the
authors of The Shadowof Everyday Life. They describe The Shadow as having negative emotions

are presented in the movie. At first, Tarzan begins with a couple that escape a burning ship and then

33. Military Deployment Essay
We wait. We Hope. We pray. Until you re home again. When you re home, we re more than a
family. We are a nation... that is whole again. That is a very famous quote said by Oprah Winfrey
about our military personnel and family members. Military deployments have many stages
including pre deployment, deployment, post deployment, and the aftermath of the military. These
will affect the military member from the time they are active duty, to being a veteran. The pre
deployment is from the time the orders are assigned to the time the military member leaves for
deployment. The deployment is from the time the member leaves to the time they return back to
their duty station. The post deployment typically lasts about the three to six months after the
deployment ends. The period of being a veteran is from the time the member resigns or retires from
the military for the rest of their lives.
The first phase of the deployment is the pre deployment. The pre deployment phase beings from ...

PTSD; whether it is temporary or permanent. When considering the service members in a combat

times of night. This is because studies have proven that more flashbacks occur at night. PTSD
symptoms include flashbacks and nightmares about past events that have traumatic to the person,

Describe the interaction between the two leadership groups. What behaviors of the American
representatives could create conflict with the Samoan leaders? Are there similarities from this
meeting and the Blue Horizon Cruise simulation meeting?
At this tense meeting with considerable distrust and suspicion evident in the faces, speeches and
body language of the Samoan chiefs, the High Chief expressed considerable skepticism about
American plans for the island, such as providing more education in English, teaching the young
marketable skills, and developing the country. Being educated at the University of Hawaii, the
High Chief would have had very good reason to be suspicious of the intentions of the United States,
even when its representatives expressed their goodwill toward the Native peoples and desire to
bring progress; and modernization. He would have learned about the wars against the Native
Americans from the 17th to the 19th Centuries, for example, the annexation of Hawaii in 1898,
and the Philippines War of 1899 1902, if indeed he had not known all about these before.
American Samoa was annexed only nine years before Guam, the Philippines and Hawaii, when the
U.S. was in a particularly expansionist and imperial stage. At no time were the peoples of these
consulted about whether they wished to be annexed to the United States, although American policy
did grant them a large measure of autonomy and home rule. In addition the High Chief would have

35. Compare And Contrast Prokaryotes And Eukaryotic Cells
Eukaryotic cells have structural advantages over Prokaryotic cells, due to the presence of
specific internal organelles, such as a nucleus; where DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) and genetic
codes are found, as well as the presence of other organelles which are bigger in eukaryotes, such
as mitochondria. Also, eukaryotes can be considered structurally advanced as its organelles are
enclosed by a membrane, making it larger in size and stronger compared to a prokaryote. Both
prokaryotes and eukaryotes have the ability of movement, but the eukaryotes is more complex.
Although, the eukaryotic cell is more structurally advanced to that of a prokaryotic cell,

along with the ability to concentrate the right ingredients in a single place, give eukaryotes a big
structural advantage. This becomes significant as it functional groups becomes more complex and
increases its size and general strength, supporting the notion that eukaryotic cells are in fact more
structurally advanced to prokaryotes. The presence of a nucleus in a eukaryotic cell makes the cell
more specialised, as the DNA that is responsible for creating new cells becomes more efficient. It
must also be noted that DNA in eukaryotes is neatly organized and packaged into chromosomes,
also increasing efficiency . This system of organised chromosomes, which is not found prokaryotes,

38. Why Magic Should Not Be Confused With Witchcraft
In the 21st century what do people think of when they hear the word magic? Is it Harry Potter
and his friends fighting off Lord Voldemort or perhaps as Black Sabbath sings witches at Black
Masses? It is probably a bit of both depending on your age and religious beliefs. This was not the
case during the time period extending from antiquity to the early modern period. People in this time
believed that magiccould explain things they did not understand or could not explain. It was not
for entertainment. Magic probably claimed to provide all the answers which were later provided
by science, technology, and philosophy: it was everything. This statement stands true for all three
periods this paper focuses on even the early modern period when religion was supposed to have
taken place of magical beliefs. Magic should not be confused with witchcraft. People believed that
you could perform magic without being or needing a witch. In antiquity, people believed that
magic was between religion and superstition. In a sense, magic, understood as a kind of science,
has always tried to locate the secret forces in nature, especially their sympathies and antipathies
and use them for specific purposes. Ancient Greeks and Romans practiced or believed in many
forms of magic but the magical ideal that lasted the longest and is seen throughout all three time
periods is the ideal of malefic, the use of magic to do evil or harm. Medea is a prime example of
this type of magic. She uses her

Violence in the work place
Many people believe that violence in the work place only consists of physical actions. Work
place violence can be demonstrated through many acts. According to researchers, violence in the
workplace consists of any act where someone is being abused, threatened, intimidated or
assaulted in their place of work(Violence in The Workplace, 2017). A few examples of these
would be verbal threats, harassment, verbal abuse or any physical harm to a worker. I have
decided to research violence in the workplace because I feel that it is a very important subject
that I myself would like to gain more knowledge on. Violence in the workplace is a great subject
that I believe everyone should know about. Also, I work at a fast food restaurant where we are
constantly dealing with customers and many coworkers. In an environment like this, it is good to
know how to identify violence in the work place. There are many factors that can add to preventing
violence in the workplace. By law, all places of employment must contain a workplace violence
protection program. Researchers tell us that the most important component of any workplace
violence prevention program is management commitment (Violence in The Workplace, 2017,
p.5). The best form of management commitment is in a written policy. This written policy should
be created by management along with a few workers. A few things that should be included in this
written policy are any consequences for violent acts in the workplace, multiple ways to prevent
violence in the workplace and it should also inform workers on how to properly report incidents
confidentially. For a more detailed and full list ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

40. The Artistic And Architectural Evidence For The Nubian...
Sam Morton
ART 2813
March 6, 2017
Describe the artistic and architectural evidence for the Nubian assimilation of Egyptian forms and
ideas.
Nubians art and architecture is traced back hundreds of years. They urbanized one of the oldest and
utmost civilizations in their region until they lost their last empire years ago. Nubia was a land of
expected wealth and prosperity and Sudan had remained the main home of Nubians through their
long history, but many live in Egypt today. Nubian art impacted Egyptian Art through their past art

These forms were perhaps used to satisfy the desire to fill the void with selected or mixed elements
that may have resulted in a kind of chaos or art. It can be distinguishing by the manner in which the
artist regulates the elements of his composition by reflecting all the elements of the design which
are used for functional and aesthetic purposes.
The Nubians were also remarkable in their architecture. Ancient constructions that appeared to be
palaces at their time are discovered throughout Northern Sudan. Archeologists excavated the
land and identified few dwellings that date back to the pre Kerma period. Remarkably large huts
reaching seven meters in diameter have been found and interpreted by some as residence of
wealthy individuals. The architectural materials, structures, and the presence of staircases in
most of the palaces suggest that they were mostly built of more than one floor. The majority of
the palaces had a rectangular or square plans with long corridors and narrow rectangular rooms.
The temples of the Kushite Kingdom were built of durable materials, such as red fired bricks and
stories that helped them to endure the ravages of time and nature. Temple columns were worked
with extensive designs curved to shape lotus flowers and the heads of gods Bes and Hathor. One
known Egyptian temple is The temple of Ramses II, and the temple of Nefertiti dedicated to
Hathor, they stood for a very long time, until they had a

Even two decades later and during another exhibition, this time in London and at the royal academy
of Burlington, when for the first time the concept of Iranian nationality was inserted to the
exhibition theme, nothing emancipatory happened to the art of the Muslims. Moreover this time
the exhibition had a greater aesthetic cause and Islamic art had been considered as a subdivision of
the art of the Persian nation. Burlington exhibition like its other European and American
counterparts was not simply an introductory show for the curious eyes of the European who were
either looking for different exotic artifacts to invent a new trend or making accurate estimations for
their antique collection. Along with other exhibitions it contributed to the formation of a discipline;
however before the authentic academic purposes, it was in the service of constructing a strong
national identity for Iranians who were trying to gain recognition with the help of cultural capitals.

It appears that Catherine s expectations are unrealistic especially when placed in the historical

Victorian era where the role of women in relation to marriage was that they were to be obedient,
disciplined and faithful to their husband.
Catherine does not fulfil any of these roles in the long term.
Firstly, she marries Edgar for social and financial benefits. She becomes aware that she belongs to

Catherine had concealed her zealous behaviour towards Heathcliff then the calm atmosphere would

disrespectful behaviour to be stopped and a decision made
Will you give up Heathcliff hereafter, or will you giver up me? It is impossible for you to be my

Indeed, Edgar is right to put Catherine s in this difficult situation because any other typical husband

46. Importance Of The 13th Amendment
United States was established to abolish aspects of slavery and the involuntary servitude unless it
was a punishment for a crime. The amendment was passed by the Senate on the 8th of April in 1864
in Congress and the House in 1865. By the 6th of December in 1865, the amendment was already
ratified by the mandated number of states and later that month the Secretary of the State proclaimed
its adoption. The 13th Amendment was the first of the three Reconstruction Amendments
established following the American Civil War. Since the period of the American Revolution, the
American states were divided into states that continued to practice slavery and those that prohibited
the act. However, the aspect of slavery was implicitly allowed in original provisions of the
American constitution in the Article 1 that was recognized as the Three Fifths Compromise. It
detailed that every slave country s enslaved population would be counted into the total population
because of the apportioning seats America s House of Representatives and the taxes among states.
The research paper focuses on analyzing the 13th Amendment to the USA Constitution and critical
analysis of its effectiveness.
Role of Abraham Lincoln in ending slavery
Abraham Lincoln always demonstrated moral opposition to the acts of slavery both in public and
private. He wanted to bring about the extinction of slavery through inhibiting its expansion into the
USA territory through proposing the compensated emancipation during his early presidency. He
supported the platform for the Republican Party of 1860 that believed slavery should not be
allowed to expand into other territories in America (Sudbury, 2008). He believed that the
widespread of slavery in the new western lands would inhibit the perspective of free labor on the
America s free soil and wanted peace to reign in the states through the end of slavery. Politically,
Lincoln was attacked as an abolitionist but he did not consider himself as one. However, he
believed that it was prudent to administer slow ending of the aspects of slavery by gradual
emancipation and colonization by volunteering rather than the means of abolitionist that demanded
the immediate end of slavery without compensating the owners (Zietlow,

Obesity is a disease/condition that many people in America are suffering from. Really obesity

many people consider. Factors of a person becoming obese can be all of the following,
community and environment, drugs, lack of exercise, unhealthy diet, lack of sleep, bad habits
(smoking and drinking), genetics, social and economic issues, and one of the most important is
they way a person s family lives. Obesity can happen so quickly in young children if their family
does not do anything to make sure their children are getting enough exercise and good nutrition.
First, community and the environment play a role in exercise. A way a person can help prevent
becoming overweight, if living on a farm or in a neighborhood. Gather friends, family, or even
pets and take them for a walk, ride a bike, run, and some if close enough may walk to work. It is
very important to make sure environments are created to make it simpler and easier to participate
in physical exercise and maintaining a healthy diet. Next, drugs can have impact on your body
weight. Many may not realize how much drugs can have an effect on our bodies and health in

history had been prone to revolutions. Many a Tsar found himself on the short end of a sword or

The serfs were the biggest dilemma that the Tsars faced. The happiness of a people can gauge
whether a ruler stays in power or not. The majority of Russians were serf peasants, dependent on
their overlords for their bread and board. Their overlord was dependent on the serfs, the Tsar
dependent on the nobles for their devotion and taxes. Catherine the Great, the Tsarina of Russia
