The Let s Dance Company s 11th Repertoire Dance Concert was amazing and
entertaining. This was the third dance concert that I have seen by the LDC and the
dance concerts just keep getting better and better. I was entertained throughout the
concert and impressed by all the dancers. The concert allowed me to see the hard
work members from the first concert I saw, the LDC s 10th Repertoire Dance
Concert, put into improving themselves as a dancer and performer. All the dancers
performed great and looked like they were having a great time throughout the

experience for me. The first dance piece, Do You Love Me , was a fun way to start

Ishmael Character Analysis
The message of Daniel Keyes s Ishmael is that people need to change their way of
living in order to thrive successfully. Currently, our society is extremely ambitious
and selfish. Over thousands of years, we conquered each continent, then the entire

important right as it could potentially save an individual from being convicted for
whatever he or she has been accused of. This case was centered on Danny Escobedo
who was taken into custody by the Chicago police department on January 20th, 1964,
for the shooting of his brother in law. During Escobedo?s interrogation he
continuously asked to consult with his lawyer. The authorities in charge of
Escobedos interrogation refused to provide a lawyer for Escobedo, which ultimately
ended up with him confessing to the murder of his brother in law. Being forced into

Film, Spirited Away, By Miyazaki Hayao
In Miyazaki Hayao s animated film, Spirited Away, Miyazaki presents a young girl
Chihiro who visits an abandoned amusement park, only to become trapped in a
fantasy world where spirits reside. Although most of these creatures are very
unique and quite unlike the others, most of them have one thing in common: their
body features are very disproportional compared to the size of their bodies. This
strange similarity depicted by Miyazaki invokes strong feelings of fear and
appreciation in particular for the viewer. While many characters have ominous,
creepy appearances similar to that of a ghost, they still have large eyes, blob
shaped bodies, and they make little to no noise. These three characteristics
emphasize the helplessness the cuteness of these creatures. The ominous
appearance of the characters does however quickly begin to clash more obviously
with their cute defining factors. In one early particular scene, Chihiro encounters a
radish spirit: a large, round creature whose body shape resembles a radish. At first,
the creature is threatening to the viewer, as it is large compared to most characters
and its appearance is foreign and bizarre. But even though the spirit appears scary,
Chihiro sticks around it briefly, and the viewer is prompted to further observes its
figure. At that point, the the rotundness of the spirit radish s figure becomes more
apparent, and the viewer is lead to see him as not just threatening anymore, but also

Ted Hughes was a very well known poet whose best works are considered by critics
to be Snowdrop and Hawk Roosting . Hughes grew up in the countryside where he
developed a fascination with animals and nature which is seen throughout his poetry.
Whilst most of Hughes poetry is based on nature, other poems portray aspects of
Hughes personal experiences, such as his marriageto Sylvia Plath. Ted Hughesand
Sylvia Plath got married in 1956. Plath was clinically depressed for most of her adult
life and after being married for seven years, Hughes had an affair with Assia
Gutmann. After finding out about Hughes affair, Plath committed suicidein 1962 by
gassing herself. Hughes was seen responsible for his wife s suicide and did not
write for years as he focused on promoting Plaths poetry. Plath s importance in his
life is shown through the allusion to her both explicitly and implicitly through in
poems like, Daffodils , Wind , and The Blue Flannel Suit . Hughes uses linguistic
devices such as imagery, metaphor and simile to symbolise Plath within his writing.
Hughes alludes to Plath and her mental state through his use of linguistic devices. In
Wind, the house symbolises the dysfunctional relationship between Hughes and
Plath, due to Plaths mental state. The metaphor, This house has been far out at sea
