2. Improving Medication Communication And Medication
Improving Medication Communication People become ill every day and need medications to help
them fight whatever disease or infection they may be suffering from. Medications play such a vital
part in human lives today. Physicians are always coming up with new medications that they would
like to try for a certain illness. As patients get prescribed new medications they need to be taught the
purpose and the side effect of the drug. Communicating the purpose and side effects of drugs are
vital components for patient safety and also compliance. The need to educate patients about the
medications they are receiving is becoming more and more important. Patients may have no idea
why they are taking the medication that they are prescribed. When patients know why they are
taking a medication and what some of the side effects are to that medication they are able to keep
themselves safe. Patient safety related to medication communication is something that may be
overlooked in settings that prescribe medications. The more knowledgeable the patient is about the
medications they are taking the better they are to understand their specific disease process and
improve their own safety. A patient s understanding of his or her medications is vital to a
satisfactory patient experience and it also drives safety and quality (Improving Medication
Communication with Ask 3/Teach 3, 2013). Scholarly Journals Related to Improving Medication

27 February 2012
The Death of Print and the Drowning of Quality Writing Daniel Okrent has been in the
publishing industry his whole career. He is a published author and has served as an editor for
Time, Life, and the New York Times. In a 1999 lecture to students attending Columbia University
s School of Journalism, Okrent predicts, I believe they (news papers, magazines, and books), and
all forms of print are dead (Okrent 578). A little harsh, wouldn t you agree? But fear not, he then
goes on to describe how even though the death of print is inevitable, it really doesn t make a
difference because it is the words, sentences, and paragraphs in those forms of print that are
important. Now, the majority of the reading I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

It s somewhat flexible, which makes it easy to transport. Its screen, utterly glare free, neither

in 1999. That doesn t seem too far off from what s available today. Actually, it sounds a little
better. Okrent later makes a good comparison in the format in which cell phones are sold today

about the content in which they wish to sell you on that vessel. As cell phone companies do when

4. Similarities Between Canada And The United States
The neighboring countries of the United States of America and Canada are similar and different in
many ways, but they also have their differences. For instance Canada has designated sports for
certain seasons when the U.S. has designated time frames for their sports, which span multiple
seasons, but both countries play some of the same sports. The national anthems are very different,
but also similar in the fact that they both declare the peoples love for their country. The flags may
have different designs, but they both strongly represent their country. When you think about it,
Canadaand the U.S. have a lot more in common then you would think. To start, both Canada and
the U.S. love their sports. In Canada the designated summer sport is lacrosse, a very sophisticated
sport, which in the U.S is only played by snobby rich people at country clubs. The... Show more

5. Descriptive Essay About Sedona
The summer of 2016, my family decided to shake up our annual summer vacation by heading
out west, and chose to go to Sedona, Arizona. Let me tell you, this place radiates beauty. If you
ve never heard of Sedona, I ll give you some background real quick. The city IS a desert city.
Everywhere you look there s just dirt or sand on the ground and lots of cacti. But the trait that
distinguishes the city IS that it sits within a valley in the red rock. All around you stand
mountains made of this fiery earth. During our stay there we hiked along many trails through the
red rock to almost every tourist spot, some of which gave you a panoramic view of the
mountains. The views appeared surreal and took my breath away. Yes, I could go on and on about
the beauty of this city, but that s not quite what this story IS about. On this trip, my family and I
got up close and personal with some areas of Sedona that one wouldn t call tourist hotspots. The
town of Jerome is an old mining town built at the base of a mountain, that now has lots of shops
and restaurants, and we decided to make this our next destination. So my dad plugged the town
into his iPhone GPS (first mistake) and we headed out to reach our destination. Blue sky and
deserted land rolled by as I stared out the window. Time seemed to slowly trail by and we did not
see signs of the town anywhere. Then suddenly, the smooth asphalt turned to gravel, and
immediately something seemed off. Are you sure we re going the right way??

6. The Importance Of Typology In Christianity
Christianity has been from the beginning a typological religion. Typology in Christian theology
and Biblical exegesis is a doctrine or theory concerning the relationship between the Old and New
Testaments . (Merriam Webster 868) Perhaps the single most important concept for understanding
early Christianity is typology. Typology is a form of study of literature identifying symbols
especially in the Bible. This system of groupings, usually called types, the members of which are
identified by postulating specified attributes that are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive
groupings set up to aid demonstration or inquiry by establishing a limited relationship among
phenomena. Typology is interpreted throughout text in American literature such as William
Bradford s Plymouth Plantation, Jonathan Edward s Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and
Thomas PaineCommon Sense. During the Enlightenment, the meaning of Protestant identity
became increasingly vague; typology took on the hazy significance of image and symbol; what
passed for the divine plan had lost its strict grounding sculpture; providence itself was shaken loose
from its religious frame work to became part of the belief in the human progress. The eighteenth
century clergy took advantage of this movement to shift the focus of figural authority, from Bible
history to the American experience. In effect, they substituted a regional for a biblical past,
sanctified the American present as a movement from promise to

7. The Rocking-Horse Winner
The world has always been full of hatred, war, and strife, but the one thing holding us together is
love. One of the main concepts to happiness is being loved and loving others. In my 17 years of
living, I have seen and experienced love on multiple occasions. The love a couple has for each
other. A loveof God. A love of friends and family. Even the love a pet has for it s owner. A love
that sticks out the most is the love a parent has for their child and vice versa. The famous novelist,
poet, playwright, essayist, literary critic and painter, David Lawrence, wrote the short story The

The Rocking Horse Winner , Paul knew that the derby was coming up, so he rode the rocking

rocking horse, the more money he would make, to please his mother. He was so stressed about
betting on the horse that would win, he became ill. This is when his mother actually became a
little concerned about him. Paul was in critical condition, He neither slept nor regained
consciousness, and his eyes were like blue stones. His mother sat, feeling her heart had gone,

8. Explaining the Gospel of Mark
When I read Mark during church we would read the long ending, at the time I didn t know the
difference between the endings. I was confused to why there were three different parts to it and
they were broken up as if they were supposed to be a new verse. When I asked the leader of the
class she couldn t give me an explanation. With the research I have done I feel that I have come to
a conclusion as to which ending is the most correct and why there are multiple endings.
When the Sabbath was over, Mary the mother of James, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb where
Jesus had been buried. A large stone closed off the entrance and when they arrived the stone had
been moved. An angel appeared to them and told them not to be alarmed for Jesus had risen. But,
they were alarmed and when the angel told them to go tell the disciples and Peter that Jesus had
risen they were afraid, ran away, and didn t tell anyone.
The gospel of Mark ends rather abruptly at verse 16:8, in the middle of a sentence but according
to Mann the beginning also started very abruptly means it could still have been written by Mark.
In this ending Mary and Mary the mother of James are headed to the tomb where Jesus has been
buried, they are bringing spices to anoint the body of Jesus. According to Harrington this is rather
odd because it is not custom for someone to anoint a deceased person a day and two nights after the
death. Also the fact that they were bringing the spices to anoint him means that they

10. The Pros And Cons Of Gun Control In America
In recent years, violence has affected society immensely; in the Las Vegas community specifically,
bullying, and crimes involving deadly weapons have been detrimental to the hearts of families.
As of now, the controversial debate of gun control is sweeping the nation. As defined by the
constitution, the second amendment states that citizens have a right to bear arms. One side
believes there is no need for guns, whereas the other believes guns are necessary for self defense.
In Las Vegas, there are many people that believe in the amendment. Nevada has some of the least
restrictive gun laws in the country. The state does not require firearm owners to have licenses,
register their weapons, nor restrict the amount of weapons one may own. Along with that, the
state does not require sellers to do a background check before selling ammunition. This may be a
contributing factor to the mass shooting that occurred in Las Vegas on October 1st. According
to Chris Perez from the New York Post, the gunman unloaded approximately 900 bullets into a
crowd, with multiple assault rifles. Unfortunately, 58 people were killed and hundreds were
injured. With that being said, it is hard not to agree with people that want to ban guns, but on the
contrary, if guns were banned, then criminals would be left unmatched. If legislature made guns
illegal, then only law abiding citizens would follow the law, whereas criminals would disregard
the law, and continue to purchase and use guns illegally. According to the Las Vegas Review
Journal, approximately 80% of crimes in Las Vegas involved weapons; which is a 61% increase
from last June. Statistics have also shown that the homicide rate in las Vegas has increased by
133% from last year; as a response, Metro police has increased the number of officers in the street.
The increase of violence in the city may stem from media and entertainment. According to
psychologist Leonard Eron of the University of Illinois, children who watched significant amounts
of TV violence were consistently more likely to commit violent crimes, or engage in child or
spouse abuse in the future. The violence in the mass shooting has not only affected the lives of
innocent people, but it has also affected the politics

12. The Ottoman Of The Byzantine Empire
The Byzantine army was a very large and successful army that brought the Byzantine Empire into
the middle ages. The army flourished because of their new developments in warfare, and their
organized battle tactics. The fall of the Byzantine Empire was due to the Ottoman Turks, who had
been pushing borders constantly. The Byzantine Empirenever had complete military peace
throughout their entire 1000 years. This lead to several influential developments in their
civilization. Through this paper, I will discuss various types of troops and formations that the
Byzantine Army used for many years as well as the overall organization.
After the fall of Rome, and due to Diocletian s efforts, the land was split up into two parts, East,
and West. The western part was claimed by the Goth s and other enemies. A city in the eastern part
of the territory called Byzantium was reclaimed by the people inhabiting the area, mainly
Greeks. The civilization of Byzantium was formed as a result. Constantine the Great, an Emperor of
the Roman Empire made a city in Eastern Rome called Constantinople (now known as Istanbul),
and this city later became the capital of the Byzantine Empire, as well as the capital of ancient
Christianity. In the early days of the Empire, the Byzantine army was still fighting in the old,
Roman ways. Their strategies were not working well, as they had too much land to govern from
one location. Their military was small, because they did not have enough money from tax, a

The brain is known as one of the most complex organs of the body, giving it the name of the

People may not recognize it, but everything they do and how they interact with each other is
because of their own brain. But, when someone s brain isn t working properly, then it could cause

people around them, the patient should see a specialist. When comprehensive information about a
child s brain related strengths and weaknesses is necessary to understand potential sources of the
problem and implications for functioning, a neuropsychological evaluation is most often the best
choice. (Silver, et al). If children go to see a neuropsychologist about their problems and get an
evaluation, then they may find a solution for them. The problem is that many people aren t aware
of what a neuropsychologist does or how they can help. Politicians, and the public, need to be aware
of what neuropsychologists do (Bardenhagen). Neuropsychology can help improve the public and
its people s mental health, but unfortunately many people aren t even aware that they are there.
Many people look for help from doctors, but can never find an accurate diagnosis. This causes

Macbeth starts off as a well respected, loved by all hero. He is then talked into killing the king,
his closest friend, and also considers himself indestructible. All three events create a tragic hero.
With all tragic heroes, comes their tragic downfalls. Macbeth s downfall is caused by both his free
will and fate. It all started when three witches told Macbethhis fate, filled with a false sense of
confidence, he sets off a series of events that lead to his death.
It first started when the witches meet Macbeth at the heath. One of the witches then proceeds to
tell Macbeth, All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter! (I, iii). Completely thrown off,
Macbeth asks the witches to explain how is it possible since the King still lives with heirs to the
throne. The witches leave without giving him an answer, and soon after Macbeth begins plotting

October 30,2017
Policy Analysis Paper:
Introduction:
While taking one of my SMC courses at St.Mary s University, my professor began a discussion on
plastics pollution and the effects it has on the environment. My professor began to talk more and
more about this uncharted territory known as plastic pollution I never knew plastic was so harmful
and what it is doing to our environment. What I knew then does not compare to what I know now.
Everything that I have included in this research paper stems from what I have learned and the
policies we have in the United States, the state of Texas, and the city of San Antonio.

The Solution: would be to either provide incentivized programs and or tax on plastic, or leave
everything the way it is.
I will attempt to analyze our current use of programs to prevent further plastic pollution the San
Antonio area, and whether or not we stay with the status quo, implement buyback programs or tax
people who want plastic bags.
The defining issue at hand is the increasing plastic presence, the pollution it brings along with, the
disposal we provide, or do not provide. Plastic is going to be one of the leading issues in the next
few years, right next to climate change.
Background: Plastic is made up of carbon, this is a man made product which is specifically from
oil. There were other creations before the discovery of plastic, in 1923 it was the Macintosh and
rubber, then in 1839 the company Goodyear combined rubber and sulfur creating moldable stable
substance, this process is known as vulcanization. In the 1850 s though 1870 s there was the ivory
trade and billiard balls, and in 1909 the create of modern plastics, Bakelite. Then in 1930 we created
the thermoplastic.
There are 7 different type of plastics, polyethylene, polystyrene, polyethylene terephthalate,
polyvinyl chloride, polytetrafluorethylene, polyvinylidene, and polypropylene. Polyethylene, is the
more commonly found plastic, this is our plastic bags, soda and water bottles, plastic films and
their cases, and garbage bags. Polystyrene, in

17. Reflection On Math Lesson
What? For my second lesson, I taught a math lesson on multiplying decimals with zeros in the
product. I wanted students to be able to show that they could multiply with decimals in the
product and I wanted them to be able to explain how they know where to add the decimal point
in the answer. This lesson was part of the unit over decimals. Students will learn to add them,
subtract, multiply, divide, and then take a test for the unit. I decided to teach this lesson
because this is what my teacher had planned for the day and needed me to teach to keep her on
track for the test. Honestly, I was excited to teach a math lesson because it was a great refresher
for me. Overall, I was very satisfied with the way the lesson went. The students were
understanding the instruction I delivered and were giving the answers I had hoped for. The
students were on task and engaged for the entire lesson and when they weren t engaged, I could
draw or mention sticks and I would get more active participation. Before I asked students to work
independently or with a partner, I modeled exactly what they should be doing and how they should
do it. This made a huge difference from my first lesson because there was no confusion. When I
had one students come up to the board and share their answer, everyone in the class had the same
answer. While I was formatively checking their understanding, this told me that the way I was
teachingwas working because they all understood the problem. I really can not think of anything
that did not go as I had planned or that I was not happy with. Although, there was one point
where my math was wrong because I was not thinking logically. I need to make sure I slow down
while I am teaching to check my own work so I am not teaching the students incorrect
information! The only change I would try and make if I taught this lesson again would be to find a
way to make it more engaging and less teaching instruction out of the book. I feel that with math
this is sometimes challenging, but I think it could be done. Even though I did use multiple means
of representation by doing a whole class discussion, partner work, and independent work, I could
have found maybe a more hands on activity for the students to

Having a sense of belonging is one of several fundamental human needs and national identity refers
to a person s sense of belonging to one country with its history, values and traditions. Since
achieving independence in 1957, the issue of Malaysia s national identity has been in the spotlight
due to its strong social, political and economical factors implication. As a multi cultural country, the
search for a national identity is not an easy undertaking as Malaysians consist of different ethnics
such as Malay, Chinese and Indian. Each ethnic group contributes their own unique culture and
religion, hence making it difficult to form a Malaysian identity. In fact, in September 2010, Prime

The term, vernacular architecture, was first used by architectural theorists to describe buildings that
seemed not to have been consciously designed and affected by the intellectual and artistic currents
of the Renaissance (Dell Upton, 1983).
With the growing presence of globalization and modernization, the pre industrial building heritage
is indeed under threat with modern methods prevailing. In that vein, we are seeing how the designs,
use and meanings of these traditions change within the concepts of the contemporary processes in a
globalized world (Lindsay Asquit, Marcel Vellinga, 2006).
The societal effects are evident in the negotiation of identity, and the definition and value of key
concepts like tradition, modernity and place (Lindsay Asquit, Marcel Vellinga, 2006). One of the
most engaging aspects that is relevant to the discourse of how vernacular architecture is tradition. It

The outer solar atmosphere, the corona, is created by magnetic fields. When the fields close, the
confined solar atmosphere can suddenly violently release bubbles of gas and magnetic fields. A

Death is an unavoidable element of the world in which we live. The rich and the poor, the strong
and the weak, the brave and the cowardly all must face the end of existence one day. People in
this world often choose to ignore this looming threat and live their lives as if this terminus does
not exist. One does not fall into this trend category: A. E. Houseman. As said by one observer
There are two themes in Houseman: man s morality...and man s rebellion against his lot. (Conolly
49). Houseman s poem To An Athlete Dying Young is no exception. Here he delves into the
dreaded and complex subject of early death(Ruby ed. 228, 230). In the poem To an Athlete Dying
Young from A Shropshire Lad by A.E. Housman one can see the choices in his style, which are
used to cover both sides of the central theme of death, and the author s use of symbolism as a
device. To An Athlete Dying Young has multiple noticeable features in its style. The poem is
written in the form of a narrative poem, or lyric ballad, in which a story is told. This form of... Show

In this passage Houseman mentions And early though the laurel grows, It withers quicker than
the rose (Houseman 32). For this reason the laurel is symbolic of accomplishment, fame, and
honor. This symbol ties into another meaning of the poem. As the critic Bruce Meyers explained
The difference between the crowning of garlands is the irony at the heart of the poem. The hero
s crown... that the town pays the athlete on his victory, withers away like the floral headgear of a
young girl. As he concludes, The message is that death is the final victor. (Meyers 236). The
laurel is representative of our short lives and they wither quickly like the athlete. With each
season the flowers first bloom, then flourish, and finally dry up; life does not remain for long
(Ruby ed. 233, 235). Here the poem offers another perspective where death is the victor over the

accounting designations because their purpose is to provide advice on how businesses can earn
more money and find any forensic accounting in the business. 2. A Certified General Accountantjob
differs from the other two accounting designations because their purpose is to help businesses save
money and carry out any financial activities from their respective business 3. A Certified
Management Accountant job differs from the other two accounting designations because their
purpose is to help a business grow, be stable and make more profit in the long term 7. These reasons
explain why these three accounting designations differ. The life of an accountant is important but
what is more important is how they get the job. I ll be discussing the employment of these three
accountants. A Chartered Accountant works in many industries and businesses 8. They tend to

On Saturday morning, October 15th, 2016, my friends and I visited the Touro Synagogue. We
attended a synagogue Sabbath worship which took place for less than two hours. I was really
excited and eager because I have never experienced any ritual service before. As I first entered
the small chapel, I was struck by the beautiful, magnificent architecture of the place. It was a
clean, warm place with a nice chandelier. The upper wall is covered with glass windows that help
light up the small chapel and bring a refreshing feeling. We were given directions to obtain the
service books on the shelves outside before the ritual service began. As I went further inside the
chapel, a lady greeted me with the phrase Shabbatshalom. All the people there were friendly and
greeted us with smiles. I noticed some men wore their Kippot and Tallitot. We had some small
introductions and conversations. After getting service books, my friends and I sat in the back row
of the chapel. The place was quiet with a sense of peace and contentment. A few minutes after, the
Rabbi and the Cantor came in, and the Sabbath service began.
As this Sabbath service was my first experience, I was curious about every little thing that
happens. During the Sabbath service, the Rabbi gave us directions to follow hymn pages in the
service book. This book was written in both Hebrew and English. There were different prayers with
different sections. We sat down in some parts and stood up in some other parts. Sometimes the

Spiritual Life Coaching
When we look at the role of coaching and how it speaks to a person s spiritual life we first must
understand the definition of coaching. Whitmore (2001) quoted Gallwey s definition of coaching as
Coaching is unlocking a person s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them
to learn rather than teaching them (p. 8). There are several definitions of coaching that attempts to

Those with the right attitude will embrace their role as a positive reinforce and they will strive
to help others see themselves as God sees them. The coach will build up, strengthen and
encourage the client with the love of Christ as they provide professional coaching. Crane amp;
Patrick (2005), suggested Coaching requires the very best from all aspects of our humanity. It is
not a path for the weak hearted or for people who are afraid to grow. It is a path for the
courageous and for people who are committed to making a difference in the lives of those they
touch through coaching (p. 217). The spiritual aspect of coaching as it relates to this previous
quote is that we must be willing to be like the eagle as shared in Isaiah 40:3, But those who wait
on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run
and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. The effective coach must be willing to stay in for
the long haul, when things are not moving as quickly as you would like.
O Neill shared that there may be times when what you are coaching and what the direction of the
company may lose its clarity or maybe the coachee has lost focus. O Neill (2000), stated, May
leaders try to suppress ambiguity, rather than acknowledge it, even to themselves (p.26). The best

Rochel who is an Orthodox Jew, and Nasira who is a Syrian descent Muslim, are both public

unilaterally resort to the domestic trade laws and even bypass the WTO dispute settlement

35. The 1918 Spanish Flu Epidemic
The 1918 Spanish Flu Epidemic was a deathly virus that made its way to every across the globe
by 1919, leaving a devastating affect on the world s population and leaving many questioning any
previous faith in religion and modern science. This essay will explore the global affect of the
Spanish Flu Epidemic with special reference to its impact on South African society.
Victims of the Spanish flu epidemic suffered from an acute infection in the respiratory system. The
virus itself takes its form in droplets exposed to the air, which could then be transferred from person
to person with ease. Droplets were emitted into the air by an infected person, which could then
infect others who breathed in these droplets. Urbanization, increased travel and the unfortunate late
reporting s of the influenza are factors which contributed to the expansion of the Spanish flu ...

The Boston navy barracks provided that perfect condition for the virus to rapidly multiply, with
some seven thousand men crowded together. The epidemic was thriving and it appeared much like
an explosion as it struck the continents simultaneously and from there it spread rapidly across the
globe. What had been considered a fairly mild influenza had broken out into a pandemic that held a
looming threat over humanity.
The first wave of the Spanish flu epidemic was marked by mild symptoms that shared a
familiarity with the common flu, such as headaches, fevers and an overall weakness. The second
wave of the Spanish flu epidemic brought enhanced and horrifying symptoms. Those who fell ill
with the Spanish flu suffered from labored breathing, vomiting and nausea, bleeding from the nose
or mouth and delirium. The Spanish flu epidemic was decidedly marked by a cracking sound in
the chest and by a distinct odor released by the infected

New groups appeared: Captain Beefheart or Residents. But first punk and particularly Clash

will discuss here the lyrics of the main bands mentioned with a study of the themes. The basis of
the punk thought: individual freedom (do it yourself), challenged the established order. Inspired
by older ideologies like anarchy or nihilism. Associated with a more recent concepts like
antifascist anti racism. In everyday life: messy, improvisation. Punk was characterized by the
notion of subversion and absolute individualism. Self deprecating, embezzlement Codes and
especially destruction of social barriers are used to transmit their messages. This philosophy had
been described by Craig O Hara in 1995, in The philosophy of punk. It is often summed up in the
slogan no future but it is an overly simplistic approach because the full sentence is No future for

38. Definition Of Social Rules In Jane Austen s Pride And...
The novel Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, is set in a world with very strict social rules. In
her essay Austen s Blush, Mary Ann O Farrell analyzes the breaking of these rules, or incivility, in
the novel. She refers to public incivility as exposure, where the character s inappropriate actions are
visible by many people. She uses mortification and embarrassmentinterchangeably as the
uncomfortable feelings experienced by socially aware characters when social rules are broken, and
divides these feelings into two parts, the buildup as transgressions are being made and the release
when the situation is escaped or resolved. Blushingis the physical act that reflects these feelings of
mortification and embarrassment, one of the few socially acceptable actions that reveal a person s
true feelings. O Farrell disagrees with George Henry Lewis criticism that Austen misses [...] many
of the subtle connections between physical and mental organization (O Farrell 127), instead
arguing that Austen uses physical changes to indicate her characters mental states, in particular
using blushes as natural and involuntary signals of embarrassment, vexation, anger, or love (O
Farrell 128). O Farrell argues in her aptly titled Austen s Blush that that the incivility of
embarrassment, which blushing indicates, in Pride and Prejudice, is necessary for the progression of
the plot, the connections between the characters, and the experience of the reader. O Farrell

39. International Trade Theory Of Comparative Advantage And...
Several theories about international trade explain why countries have the opportunity to trade,
theory of comparative advantage and absolute advantage. Adam Smith came up with the theory of
absolute advantage where the country that produces more of one good that another country has
simply an absolute advantage over it. This theory normally constructed with two commodities and
two countries. In Schuhmachers article Adam Smith s theory of absolute advantage and the use of
doxography in the history of economicshe says, each nation can produce one good with less
expenditure of human labor than the other and thus more cheaply. (Schuhmachers, 2012) In this
case, both countries will specialize in only producing the commodity, which they have... Show more

This means it does not matter if country A can produce more overall than country B, as long as B
can produce it more efficiently than country A. Country B will choose to produce that product and
then trade it with country A. When a country focuses on a good that it is efficient in producing for
a lower price then they increase national income and company s increase profits. An example of
comparative advantage: Country A can produce 28 bikes and 4 radios, Country B can produce 32
bikes and 12 radios. Country B has an absolute advantage in both products but it has a comparative
advantage specifically in radios because it can efficiently produce 3 times more for less than
Country A (Economics Online, 2017.)
Both theories have the positive effect of making economies that trade grow. Trade makes a price
range below the local price possible. Furthermore, the exporting country can produce more and
the importing country can use its resources on other products in which it is better at producing.
However, because trade prices of foreign goods are lower local goods will experience lower
demand. This is one of the reasons for a trade restriction the government of a country will help
maintain local businesses.
Factor Proportion theory was originally created by two Swedish economists. According to this
theory, one condition for trade is that countries differ with respect to the availability of the factors
of production. They

40. My Virtual Child Paper
My Virtual Child Paper
My virtual child covers physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development at several age
levels. This gave me an opportunity to visualize the whole child at various points in development.
I raised a virtual child from birth to 18 years of age. Each virtual child has a unique set of
characteristics at birth, some of which were influenced by how I answered the assessment I
completed when I first logged onto My Virtual Child. These characteristics gradually emerged and
affected his behavior and development.
My child was a boy so I decided to name him Wolfgang. Wolfgang was born about four weeks

Berk mentions in his book that parent s who resolve conflicts with reason, instead of physical

punishment by removal (Berk 2010). I made sure that my partner was included when making
parental decisions because I did not want Wolfgang to start favoring one parent over the other.
When my partner and I decided to get back together, he started doing better in school (except
math), but he still got into fights at school, so my partner and I decided to talk to him about social
skills and taught him techniques he could use when he started to get upset or frustrated.
I m very happy that Wolfgang has a diverse view on gender roles (Berk 2010). I was nervous at

41. Simulationary Monetary Policy
Asymmetry in the credit markets result in a wedge between the costs of external funds (i.e. from
banks and other lenders) to the public, and the cost of internal funds. Thus, internal funds, bank
loans and other sources of financing are imperfect substitutes for firms. These imperfections related
to credit market frictions causes monetary policychanges to affect both the bank lending channel
and the balance sheet channel citep{Gertler1995}.
The bank lending channel underpins the role of banks as financial intermediaries, as their business
structure is designed to serve certain type of borrowers, being small to mid sized enterprises and
households, where the problem of asymmetric information emerge citep{stiglitz81}. According to
the theory, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The risk taking channel is thought to operate via three main mechanisms. First, the search for yield
mechanism, with low (nominal) interest rates increasing incentives for banks to take on more risk
citep{Rajan2005}. The second mechanism relates to the impact of low interest rates on real
valuations, incomes, and cash flows. Low rates boost asset and collateral values while tending to
reduce price volatility, which in turn downsizes the banks estimated probability of default, implying
the belief that the increase in asset values are sustainable, encouraging both borrowers and banks to
accept higher risk positions citep{Borio2012}. Third, monetary policy also affects risk taking
through the reaction function of the central bank to negative shocks. The commitment of a central
bank for lower (future) interest rates in the case of a threatening shock reduces the probability of
large downside risks, thereby encouraging banks to assume greater risk.footnote{This effect, also
known as the Greenspan or Bernanke put, operates through the textit{expected} lower interest rates
rather than textit{current} low rates themselves. Its magnitude, however, depends on the current
level of the policy rate. Anticipated interest rate reductions tend to correspond to a higher risk
position when there is

43. The Difference of North and South
Even though the North and the South origins were both from Europe, their customs and living
habits were different. The North and the South began to notice these differences as they broke away
from Britain in the Revolutionary War. The North and South emerged into two different regions,
due to their various differences. These differences included the geography, the economy, the social
and classification status, and transportation.
One of the most striking differences between the North and the South was the climate and
geography. The North s climate was full of warm summers and cold winters; the terrain was
rocky and hilly, which wasn t good for farming. But the North did have little farms. Most of the
forest was used for shipbuilding, and cities were used for trading centers. The rivers were fast
and shallow which made it hard to navigate. Also in the North people used waterpower to run
factories, because it was a cheap source of energy. The South was somewhat different; the climate
was generally warm and sunny. The summers were long and hot, and the winters were pretty mild.
Due to the South s climate they were able to grow different crops in large amounts, unlike the
North. The south had large farms, called plantations. In the South cities developed near rivers,
because of rich soil which made it easier for them to farm.
There were various economic differences between the North and South. In the south their economy
was based on agriculture. That s why they believed

44. The Importance Of Teamwork And Learning Processes After...
In studying and learning about human behaviour in organisation unit at University of Canberra, it
is compulsory to review the aspect of teamwork and learning processes after completing the video
project assignment. Students should critically analyse about the teamwork experience as part of
their learning processes and put it in the form of individual essay. This essay briefly discussed
about my personal experiences associated with the related teamwork. Generally speaking, the team
has done a great job in terms of goal achievement. However, the problem that I observed during the
teamwork process learningis about the lack of cohesion in group due to conflict among the members
. On the other hand, the good experience about the group is the commitment of all members of the
group to accomplish the project on time. In other words, the positive experience outweighs the
negative one, especially when all members keep their commitment towards the goal of the group.
Teamwork is the number of people who work together to achieve a goal, which they have rules
and a clear working mechanism and interdependent with each other (Andrzej and David 2013). In
general, there are five stages in the evolution of a team including forming, storming, norming,
performing and adjourning (Tuckman and Jensen as cited in Andrzej and David 2013). First, the
group experiences the forming stage when the lecture appointed all members to join in a team. We

45. The Water And Hydrologic Cycle
The Water and Hydrologic Cycle As we understand it today we know that water is a vital
resource and it is one of the most important substances on earth for all species, plants and
animals. All species, plants and animals must have water to survive to sustain life. It is noted
that if there is no water on earth then there would be no life forms on earth either. Water is also
essential for the healthy growth of all farm crops and farm stock in the manufacture of many
products for environmental growth. Apart from drinking water to survive, humans have many
other uses for water. These include: cooking, washing their bodies, washing clothes, washing
cooking and eating utensils; such as billies, saucepans, crockery and cutlery, keeping houses and
communities clean, recreation; such as swimming pools and keeping plants alive in gardens
and parks. It is most important that the water which humans drink and use for other purposes is
considered as clean water. This means that the water we drink must be free of germs and
chemicals and be clear (not cloudy). There are many vital resources of water as well that are
needed to sustain life on earth, but for this essay we will only take a look at three, Rain Water,
Surface Water and Underground Water. Rain Water: Is Water that is collected on the earth in the
form of surface water and underground water. Surface Water: The water present on the surface of
the earth in the form of oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds and streams is

Thus became very human need of entertainment. Most of the hard boiled crime fiction stories
involve private investigators as the hero, though Sherlock Holmes was a private eye and the
stories aren t hard boiled, and Cain never wrote a detective novel. They are realistic, in the sense
that people who go out and get a private investigator license are hired to solve crimes, which is
more than the village vicar or the head of the gardening club can say. These situations will

The Setting As we discussed earlier the setting for hardboiled detective fiction is usually a large city,
an urban area, or an industrial area. The cities tend to be dark, dangerous places run by corrupt
politicians, gangster syndicates, and an occasional corrupt police officer. Often the stories
themselves have more night scenes than daylight scenes, which contribute to the overall dark
atmosphere of the stories thus, can create more mind blowing occasions. Hard boiled fiction

47. Speech On Abandoned Children
There are many reasons for the large number of abandoned children in India. The children can be
unwanted (mostly girls), illegitimate or orphans due to diseases. The children have to be taken care
of one way or the other. Orphan children are the deprived and the isolated population deserving
special attention to become healthy and responsible children, physically fit, mentally alert and
morally healthy endowed with the skills and the motivation needed by society. UNICEF and global
partners define an orphanas a child who has lost one or both parents. An estimated 31 million
children in India, aged 0 17 years, are orphaned and abandoned according to the most recent
statistics from UNICEF.
Proper family environment plays an important role in the life of children. Nobody can deny the
important role of parents in developing balanced and harmonious development of personality. But
unfortunately cruel fortune deprives some children of the sympathetic affectionate parental care.
These children are known as orphaned children. An orphan is a child permanently bereaved of his
or her parents. In common usages, an orphan does not have any surviving parent to care for him or
her. Because of parental deprivation some children are reared in destitute homes and in orphanages.

48. Reading And Writing Is Essential For Understanding And...
In this day and age reading and writing are fundamental functions for everything a person does.
Reading is essential for understanding and comprehending warning signs and instructions on a
medicine bottle as well as filling out applications. It is important that one knows how to read in
order to find a job or to use it for their benefits. Writing is also an important part of anyone s life.
Writing is use as a tool of expression and a basis of which your work will be judged throughout
one s life. The work that one has to put into getting an education is never the best part of an
average adult s life. Today, many people are met with obstacles that prevent them from getting
qualifications however, when these obstacles are overcome, an education can be gained by anyone,
anytime and anyplace. Nonetheless, for anyone trying to gain an education or higher education, one
must be dedicated and have the drive to reach their goals. For Malcolm Xand Frederick Douglass,
gaining an education was very different for them as it was difficult and it was almost an
impossible goal to achieve. Both of these men never stopped working towards their dream of one
day learning how to read and write and this should be an example to young adults of today. X and
Douglass foreshadowed the difficulty of gaining an education. In this essay, I will described how
two individuals of oppression strived to better themselves via education.
