Los Intervalos

Los Intervalos son la medida que utilizamos para medir la "distancia" entre las notas. Esta "distancia"
se mide contando la cantidad de notas que hay entre dos notas dadas. Por ejemplo, si tenemos las notas
Do y Fa, decimos que hay un Intervalo de una cuarta, ya que entre Do y Fa hay cuatro notas
(Do-Re-Mi-Fa). Otro ejemplo: entre Re y La hay una quinta, ya que hay cinco notas entre ambas
(Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La).


Los Intervalos tienen una clasificación muy específica, de acuerdo a la cantidad de semitonos o tonos
que tienen. A continuación una tabla ordenada de menor a mayor de los intervalos mas comunes
(usando la tonalidad de Do mayor):

Además de los intervalos mencionados, existen otros intervalos de uso regular más grandes que la
octava, pero son derivados de los ya mencionados: la novena (que es la misma nota que la segunda), la
onceava (que es la misma nota que la cuarta) y la treceava (que es la misma nota que la sexta mayor).
