Review paper on performance analysis of AODV, DSDV, OLSR on the basis of pack...IOSR Journals
This document analyzes the performance of three routing protocols - AODV, DSDV, and OLSR - in mobile ad hoc networks based on packet delivery ratio. It simulates the protocols using NS-3 simulator over 600 seconds with 50 nodes moving randomly. The results show that OLSR has the best performance with high and stable packet delivery ratio, while DSDV has the worst performance with many dropped packets. AODV shows average performance throughout the simulation.

Shopping online provides several benefits: it saves time by allowing convenient purchases from home; it saves money with discounts up to 50% compared to physical stores; and it saves on gas and transportation costs. Online shopping also allows safe payments through secure methods like PayPal; convenient gifting by shipping directly to recipients; pre-ordering items before stock runs out; and returning items that are defective within the seller's policy timeframe. Overall, online shopping replaces physically traveling from store to store with convenient delivery right to your doorstep.
The document discusses two key secrets to successful eBay selling: high-quality item descriptions and photos. It emphasizes that descriptions should provide all essential details about the item to give potential buyers confidence without seeing it in person. Photos should be clear and representative to help sell the item. Mastering these two elements is presented as half the battle for eBay sellers and will help maximize sales and customer satisfaction. Additional tips are provided on taking flattering photos and continuously improving descriptions based on buyer feedback.

An SPRT Procedure for an Ungrouped Data using MMLE ApproachIOSR Journals
This document describes a sequential probability ratio test (SPRT) procedure for analyzing ungrouped software failure data using a modified maximum likelihood estimation (MMLE) approach. The SPRT procedure can help quickly detect unreliable software by making decisions with fewer observed failures than traditional hypothesis testing methods. Parameters are estimated using MMLE, which approximates functions in the maximum likelihood equation with linear functions to simplify calculations compared to other estimation methods. The document provides details on how to apply the SPRT procedure and MMLE parameter estimation to a software reliability growth model to analyze software failure data sequentially and detect unreliable software components earlier.

Lord Robert Winston investigates whether digital devices are rewiring our brains in controversial ways. The documentary will air on Channel 4's "First Cut" strand in a new, later time slot. It will take an engaging, challenging look at how devices may impact memory, concentration, and social ability through interviews and original studies. The production faces challenges in conducting rigorous research, running ethical original studies, and securing insightful contributor interviews. Progress so far includes contacting contributors and researchers, developing study concepts, and proposing a companion app to Channel 4 for additional insights.

Motivation for Green Computing, an Analytical ApproachIOSR Journals
This document discusses motivation for green computing through an analytical approach. It begins by defining green computing as environmentally friendly computing practices that aim to reduce the environmental impact of computing systems. It then discusses the components of green computing including evolution, applications, thin clients, and strategies. A framework for green computing is presented, as well as a SWOT analysis. The key points are that green computing aims to make computing more energy efficient throughout the lifecycle, from manufacturing to disposal, and should be considered in next generation technologies. Thin clients and strategies like power management can help reduce environmental impact.
Searching and Analyzing Qualitative Data on Personal ComputerIOSR Journals
This document presents the design and implementation of a desktop search system using Lucene. It describes the key components of indexing, analyzing text, storing indexes, and searching. For indexing, it discusses how documents are preprocessed, tokenized, and stored in an inverted index. For searching, it explains how queries are analyzed and the index is searched to return results. The system allows users to search for files on their personal computer. It includes a user interface to input queries and view results. Lucene provides an open-source toolkit to add full-text search capabilities to applications.
Survey: Problems Related to Human in Software ProjectsIOSR Journals
This document discusses problems related to managing human factors in software projects. It identifies several key problems: lack of planning; unclear goals and objectives; poor estimation of team size; lack of executive support and user involvement; communication problems; inappropriate skills; changing objectives; lack of management skills among team members; and poor team evaluation. The document argues that human factors are critical to project success but often do not receive sufficient attention. Better management of these issues could help improve project outcomes and reduce failures.
Context Based Web Indexing For Semantic WebIOSR Journals
This summarizes a document that proposes a new context-based indexing technique using a B+ tree for web search engines. It extracts keywords from web documents and indexes them along with their contexts and ontologies in a B+ tree. This improves search speed by allowing relevant documents to be found faster from the semantic web through an optimized indexing structure as compared to linear searches or other trees. The proposed technique increases precision and recall for user queries by incorporating contextual information into the indexing process.
The document discusses the concepts of genre, repetition, and variation. It states that genre relies on repetitive elements to create familiarity and understanding for audiences, but also includes variations to add something new. For example, action movies consistently feature conflict and authority figures, but directors sometimes diverge from tradition. Genre provides expectations for what a film will include, through distinctive styles and themes that develop over time into recognizable codes between creators and audiences.
An Approach to Improve Brain Disorder Using Machine Learning TechniquesIOSR Journals
This summary provides an overview of an approach to improve diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) using machine learning techniques. The study applies various machine learning algorithms like support vector machines (SVM), K-nearest neighbors (KNN), and co-training to electroencephalography (EEG) signals from patients in order to better classify and diagnose ADHD. MATLAB is used to analyze the EEG data and evaluate the performance of different machine learning methods at decomposing the signals, selecting relevant features, and determining the most effective approach for addressing brain disorders like ADHD. The goal is to develop a decision support system that can more accurately diagnose ADHD through analysis of brain activity patterns in EEG data using supervised and semi-supervised machine learning
An Application Jeevan – Kushalaiah Method to Find Lagrangian Multiplier in Ec...IOSR Journals
This document presents a Jeevan–Kushalaiah method for calculating the Lagrangian multiplier λ in economic load dispatch problems with and without transmission losses. The method uses a non-iterative approach to determine the optimal generation dispatch and associated λ value. It formulates the economic dispatch problem and derives equations to calculate the generation outputs based on an assumed λ. The total generation is set equal to demand to obtain a final equation for directly calculating λ without iterations. Flowcharts illustrate the algorithm for problems both with and without considering transmission losses in the optimization. The method is shown to satisfy operational constraints of the generators.
