The Outsiders Should Not Be Banned
The Outsiders English teachers in middle schools and high schools have been through many
debates over the years on whether or not a certain book should be taught to students in United
States public schooling systems. The Outsiders, is a book that should not be on the list of banned
books. Believe it or not the book has been banned from schools and libraries. The Outsiders should
not be banned because it provides valuable life lessons involving loyalty. Books like this one, that
involve gangmembers, fighting, shooting, stabbing and other gory incidents, should be portrayed to
kids in middle schooland beyond. This generation that people are growing up in nowadays is a
weak, soft generation who need to realize that the world is not always going to be kind to them.
The neighborhoods that a lot of kids live in are safe environments, which is not a bad thing, but
they are unaware of the horrible things that go on in the ghettos or other places in our nation.
Books are a great way to reach out to kids and show them valuable life lessons while also giving
them learning experiences through that English class they are enrolled in. The author of this
novel, The Outsiders, Susan Eloise Hinton, is a very popular author of young adult fiction stories
and she is especially popular in the Oklahoma area because she makes the setting in a lot of her
books from that area. She wrote the books That Was Then, This Is Now, Rumble Fish, Tex, and
Taming The Star Runner. The Outsiders was

Analysis Of Robert Lewis Bridge Of Influence And Proof
A bridge that is beautiful and appealing to the eye would inspire one to cross it without
hesitation due to the beauty of its structure. The philosophical idea of Robert Lewis Bridge of
Influence and Proof, from this week s assigned reading provided insight of a methodological
approach of ministering evangelistically that deemed appropriate. In all actuality, I was enlighten
in that realistically most people who travel from one city (state) to another have come to a point
where there was a need to cross over a bridge. The purpose of that bridge was to connect two
points together by way of a secure structure that has been considered reliable. The purpose of the
diagramed bridge is to display the aspect of what reconnecting the church with

KFC took swift action after consumers went into a state of panic, over the weekend after images

We want our customers to know that we take this very seriously and have taken action to make sure
this does not happen again, said Smart.

Meares-Irlen Syndrome Analysis
Imagine seeing everything in blue? In November 2015 I was officially diagnosed with Meares
Irlen Syndrome. I was prescribed blue/turquoise tinted glasses and for everything to be printed
on blue paper. This has had a large impact on my life as I struggle to read anything that is not in
blue unless I want to strain my eyes, and obviously, everything is not going to be printed on blue
paper. This has impacted my life for the worse as through confidence issues I find it difficult to
ask people to print my work in blue for me.
Meares Irlen Syndrome is an incurable form of visual stress which mainly affects people with
dyslexia. Meares Irlen Syndrome was discovered in 1980 by New Zealand teacher, Olive Meares
and American psychologist Helen Irlen. In 1983, Irlen wrote a paper about how overlays can
help aid people when reading, she named this Scotopic Sensitivity . Although personally, I do not
have dyslexia, this condition still affects me. My Meares Irlen Syndrome causes me to misread

Irlen was annoying as I felt different and isolated from others. It was also a relief to finally know
what was wrong with my eyes although it has knocked my confidence and I do not feel
comfortable wearing my glasses in public. Having a lack of confidence whilst wearing the
glasses is difficult as sometimes it affects my work as I am too focused on what other people are

A Good Example Of Mr. Johnson s First Amendment Rights
In the year 1984 1989 there was a case that struck America and shows a very good example to
having your first amendment rights, not everyone will necessarily agree with this but this is how
Mr. Johnson took his actions against the supreme court. This case is based on Mr. Johnson feeling
violated against his first amendment right and standing up for himself and burning the American
flag. Many patriotic people would completely disagree with this but, in our first amendment we
have the freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Leading Mr. Johnson to this case because
the American flag is supposed to represent our country and our freedom. Gregory Lee Johnson
burned an American flag outside of the convention center where the 1984 Republican National
Convention was being held in Dallas, Texas. Johnson burned the flag to protest the policies of
President Ronald Reagan. He was arrested and charged with violating a Texas statute that prevented
the desecration of a venerated object, including the American flag, if such action were likely to
incite anger in others. A Texas court tried and convicted Johnson. He appealed, arguing that his
actions were symbolic speech protected by the First Amendment. Based off this case with this
evidence this shows how much this could affect Mr. Johnson and the public significantly. Mr.
Johnson born... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Persian Gulf War Essay
The Persian Gulf War all started because of one country s greed for oil. Iraq accused Kuwait of
pumping oil and not sharing the benfits, and Kuwait was pumping more oil than allowed under
quotas set by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, it decreased the price of oil, Iraq
s main export. Iraqs complaints against Kuwait grew more and more harsh, but they were mostly
about money. When Iraqi forces began to assemble near the Kuwaiti border in the summer of
1990, several Arab states tried to intervene the dispute. Kuwait didn t want to look weak so they
didn t ask for any help from the United States or other non Arab powers for support. Arab
mediators convinced Iraq and Kuwait to negotiate their differences in Saudi Arabia, on... Show

Still other countries made other contributions: Turkey allowed air bases on its territory to be used
by coalition planes, and Japan and Germany gave financial support. The primary goal of the force
was to prevent further Iraqi action, but most countries were aware the force might eventually be
used to drive Iraq from Kuwait.
The Iraqis tried to prevent and split the growing international coalition through several means.
They made it clear that their adversaries would pay heavily if war broke out, and they hinted they
would use chemical weapons and missile attacks on cities. Iraq also held citizens of coalition
countries who had been in Kuwait at the time of the invasion and said they would be held in
militarily camp areas in effect using them as human shields to prevent coalition attacks. Iraq
finally released the last of the foreigners in December 1990 under pressure from several Arab
nations. The coalition s greatest military concern during the closing months of 1990 was that Iraqi
forces would attack before coalition forces were fully in place, but no such attack took place.
On November 29, with coalition forces over whelming in Saudi Arabia and Iraq showing no signs
of retreat, the

Keeping The Cold And Flu Bugs At Bey
Winter is a time of fun in the snow, hot chocolate, and resting by a warm fire. It is also a time for
viruses to run a muck. The following are a few tips to help keep the cold and flu bugs at bey. 1.
Wash your hands frequently. This is a commonly known virus fighter. Anything we touch has
been touched by others who might be carrying a virus. Frequent hand washing can keep us from
allowing these germs to enter our bodies. 2. Crack a window in your house for a few hours a day.
One of the reasons a house gets sick during the winter is because the germs have no where to go.
They get into the ventilation and circulate through the house with no outlet. Cracking a window in
a different room of the house a little while each day can give the... Show more content on

8. Drink your herb tea. Echinacea tea has properties to shorten the common cold and flu It is
also recommended to boost the immune system and fight infections. 9. Keep your hands away
from your nose and eyes. Touching your eyes and your nose can give any virus your hands may
have touched a quick route into your bloodstream. 10. Eat spicy foods. Eating spicy foods can
help to clear the sinuses and give you a bit of relief if you are unlucky enough to have caught a
cold. Certain spices can also shorten the length and severity of the cold. Since I have reached
what many call Middle Age , I am more conscious about my health as well as my diet then ever
before. I believe in eating healthy, after all our bodies are not designed to process any old junk.
My problem is defining what healthy eating really is? After putting Healthy Diet in my Google
search engine and getting over 25 million results, all claiming to have the answer I decided to do
my own research. I chose to look at the oldest people I know to see if there were any common
traits among them. The oldest being just a few months shy of her 100th birthday and the others
in their eighties and nineties. Now even though I am by no means a health expert or would I say
my research was even close to being accurate or scientific, I did find out what I believe are the two
most important factors to living a long life. Before we move on to them though first let me tell you

A Brief History of the Mi’kmaq
As the environmental movement has brought attention to the severe ecological degradation that has
occurred all over the world since the Industrial Revolution, more and more attention is also being
brought to the injustices that have divided and marginalized certain members of society, both on
local and global scales. Arguably the worst affected have been indigenous peoplesworldwide.
European colonialismbrought pestilence, rape, murder and the destruction of entire civilizations to
some of the most culturally and biologically diverse regions of the world. The remnants of those
cultures that managed to survive are now being subjected to neo colonialism in the form of
expansive trade and globalization. Cultures, like species, evolve over time due to various pressures.
It is not reasonable to assume a culturewill remain static, but when the traditions, language, and
lifestyle of thousands of peoples are eradicated within a 500 year time span, that is no longer
evolution, but intentional extinction. Some cultures managed to stay somewhat intact, but they are
under a new threat to assimilate to the homogeneity of language, culture, and technology brought on
by globalization or face extinction. Some peoples are doing what they can to fight the annihilation
of their unique identity. One such culture is that of the Mi kmaq of eastern Canada.

Robert Sternberg s Theory Of Love
Love in terms of a relationship can be described as an experience between two people sharing
mutual feelings, understandings and the enjoyment of being with one another. What love is varies
from person to person; Psychologist Robert Sternberg came up with the triangular theory of love
stating there are three main components for any loverelationships. Another psychologist Elaine
Hatfield suggests that there are two basic types of love for relationships. On the other hand, an
anthropologist Helen Fisher explains that love is a primarily a human mating motivational drive,
rather than an emotion (Fisher, H. 2004). With these three theories of love, this essay looks at the
different ways of how love can or cannot survive in a love relationship.... Show more content on

As long as at least either passion, intimacy or commitment is present, a certain type of love will
exist and survive. The similarities between Sternberg s theory to Hatfield s passionate
companionate love shows that to prolong a love relationship requires passion, intimacy and
commitment. As we get used to the relationship and we are not afraid our partner will leave us,
so we re not as focused on the craving as we once were. Hence, the triangular theory of love serves
as a good reminder to both short term and long term love relationships of what a good loving
relationship. While this model covers three very important core elements of a love relationship, it
does not cater other factors that might have an effect. For instance, people will experience
numerous changes throughout their life time, perhaps accidents can cause people to suffer from
brain damage which result the inability to love someone. Cultures can cause profound impact on
how people experience love, the triangular theory of love covers most types of relationship but
not all. The effect of cultural difference can be further discussed with examples. Be love simply a
human mating drive or emotional states, it still remain as a very complex matter that perhaps
words can t fully cover the entire spectrum of it. I believe that love on its own will always survive
as it is a natural part within us, however in the context of one particular love relationship, love can
only survive with mutual understandings and efforts for one

When Robert the Bruce ascended the throne in 1306 the defiance and animosity toward the

at the murder John Comyn in Greyfriars Church, Dumfries in February 1306. This incident

Walking down gradually from University Avenue to the park area is a descent from industrial

The bridge leads my eye and curves smaller and smaller over the Mississippi until the rise of the

the Mill Ruins and new wealth is so pleasing to the eye, the interest never ends. It is mind

Seven Deadly Sins In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet...
From the beginning of time there has been the idea of God and the sins that God has applied.
There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush
into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers
(Proverbs 6:16 19). The seven deadly sinsare pride, gluttony, sloth, envy, greed, anger, and lust.
Pride is the excessive belief that one person has so much belief in himself and his abilities, that it
interferes with the person s realization of the grace of God. Pride is also known for the excessive
pride in one s achievements, or in other words, vanity.
Gluttony is to eat and drink more than one person requires. Sloth is extreme laziness and not
wanting to do anything.
Envy is the desire to have another person s qualities or abilities and this is very sinful because it
shows you are not happy with what you have and want what other people have.
Greed is to get and keep more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay The Mexican Maquiladoras
The Mexican Maquiladoras
As a major contributor to the global economy, Mexico s sweatshops have contributed to the United
States wealth and economic growth. It is the unfortunate truth that many individual workers have
suffered as a result of this prosperity. The sweatshops, known as maquiladoras, are in debate
because of the ethical and lawful reasoning behind their existence and conditions. How can we, as a
First world nation, allow such industries to exist where people are denied basic and fundamental
human rights? What, if any, laws and regulations are put into place for the maquiladoras? Are these
laws and regulations hindering, harmful, or helpful? Are they enforced emphatically? If not, how
does this affect development? After ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, I do not think that it is difficult for the companies that relocate to Mexico to understand
what they are doing; in essence, they relocate these transnational corporations to Mexico in order to
save money and make more profits. It is also difficult for Western women to identify themselves
outside the consumer identity; therefore, as Mies and Shiva have established the importance of
finding common ground , it is difficult for many women to obtain this. Often, Western women
cannot find any relation between themselves and the women of Third World countries. In their
book Ecofeminism, Mies and Shiva establish the difficulties associated within the search, or lack of
a search, for common ground between First World and Third World women. Some women,
however, particularly urban, middle class women, find it difficult to perceive
commonality...between themselves and different women in the world....the one always considered
superior, always thriving, and progressing at the expense of the other. (Mies and Shiva, p.5)
Therefore, as Mies and Shiva have underlined, it is difficult for many women to see their own ties
and connections to recognize the producer vs. consumer relationship, and as a result, the
exploitation of other countries. A feminist s response to the United States role in the creation of the
free trade zones and the maquiladoras is as follows.

conditions may be a struggle in certain parts of the world. In Europe where two world wars have
erupted, multiple wars/battles have broken out between countries, and where the Black Plague
swept through; causalities are high and resentment is established in some cultures. Yet the continent
is beautiful everlasting landscape from the green rolling hills of Ireland to the snow capped
mountains of the Alps, every country has its beauty. A group of nations desired to keep European

The EU U.S. are aware of the effects these issues cause directly and indirectly, and so together they
try to guide countries to democracy. In Afghanistan the EU U.S. have given vital help to the
government and people and are committed to freedom and human rights. However, between the
two government systems they do have contrasting views on the death penalty and trading. The
Transatlantic relationship encompasses crisis management, education, and research, along with
spurring entrepreneurial activity by extracting talents from both markets. The EU and U.S. wish to
spark interest in the foreign partnership so they establish competitions and conferences to build

both markets to function, but is crucial for the world economy to function properly. The Euro, the

Swot Analysis Of V-Shop
Executive Summary
V shop is an easy, simple, and user friendly application and online service which allows customers
to virtually try on clothing before purchasing. It requires the user to input their body dimensions,
such as upper chest, bust, waist, and height. From there, a virtual character with real life
proportions of the user is created. By partnering with large, international retailers, V shop can
combine retailers data and the data provided by the user to create a new and super convenient way
to shop online with the benefits of in store shopping. The focus of the paper is the B2B application,
so therefore the target market is international retailers. The aim is to go after the largest segment,

Lastly, international retailers engage in business in multiple countries. Examples of international
retailers include Zara and H M.
Targeting
As shown in Table 1, the target market of V shop is international clothing retailers, such as Zara, H
M, and Gap Incorporated because they are more profitable companies that have more resources to
put toward technology advancements, such as V Shop. When the consumers are shopping for
clothing online, V Shop will help efficiently distribute retailer s products downstream by providing
a full understanding of the clothes what they want to purchase for potential customers.
The reason why the target market for V shop is international retailers, rather than local or
domestic, is because of the likelihood of them being interested in the software. Considering their
high revenues, the bet is on their ability to risk with launching the service on their websites. For
instance, the sales in the apparel sector in 2016 for H M reached $192.267 billion, for Gap Inc.
$15.516 billion, including their Old Navy brand (The H M Group, 2016).
According to an annual survey, which polled over 5,000 consumers, by comScore and UPS in
2016, 51% of customers purchased items on online, compared to 48% in 2015; the survey also
showed that 44% of smartphone users made buys through their devices, compared to

An Organization s Talent Management Strategy
It is the duty of the Human Resource department to provide the employees of the company with

methods available to help equip employees to better do their jobs. With so many available it can
be pretty discouraging to decide which to use and when is the proper time for a particular

The Conceptual Framework For Remedies
First, the conceptual framework for remedies in the two systems is fundamentally different. In
Investor state state entities and treaty obligations are involved. But, again, the model is plainly one
of corrective justice. Whereas the goal of the WTO system is to liberalize trade flows and thereby
achieve systemic efficiency and welfare gains, investment protection treaties are concerned with the
protection and promotion of foreign investment. As one commentator put it, the traditional
investment regime is about fairness grounded in customary rules on treatment of aliens, not
efficiency. It is about protection, not liberalization, and about individual rights, not state exchanges
of market opportunities.
The primary relief in the WTO is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Examples of non pecuniary relief are particularly rare in investor state arbitration. In the vast
majority of cases, investors request damages, as opposed to non pecuniary relief. This preference
for damages often reflects practical considerations, such as the difficulty of obtaining restitution of
property that has already been liquidated. Moreover, the filing of an investor state arbitration often
signals the end of the relationship between the parties; investors may fear that they can no longer
operate in what is perceived to be a hostile environment. In many cases, restoring the status quo
ante by ordering a State to rescind a tax regulation or restore confiscated property may be of little
use.
Non pecuniary awards against States may also face enforcement difficulties. The State s court
system may be unwilling or unable to enforce an award of specific performance or restitution
against its own government. Moreover, whereas the Washington Convention requires all contracting
members to enforce the pecuniary obligations of ICSID awards as they would domestic court
decisions, this obligation does not apply to non pecuniary awards.
These practical concerns are often allied with more theoretical concerns for state sovereignty.

The Important Aspects Of The Catholic Church
Elizabeth Stevinson
110 C
Catholicism is a world renowned faith and has expanded throughout history to become one of the
largest faiths known today. Two of the important aspects of the Catholic Church are the worship
rituals and the texts of the Sacred Scriptures. The worship rituals are important within the Catholic
church, because many rituals are used to Increase faith and to advance oneself to a higher state of
spiritual perfection. (Why The Rituals)
The sacraments are designed to build up the body of Christ and to worship God. It is also another
way to nourish and further strengthen our relationship with Christ as our lives progresses.
(Sacraments of the Catholic Church.)
Norton Herbst states in his article The term catholic comes from the Greek word katholikД“ which
means according to the whole or universal. The difference between (Protestantism and Catholicism).
The term was designated for the most accepted form of faith passed down from the first followers
of Christ. The worship rituals in the Catholic Church and the importance of the Scriptures make
Catholicism unique and help create something that has never been known.
The worship rituals in the Catholic Church include, mass, baptism, confession, anointing of the
sick, confirmation and Eucharist. The word mass is described as the source and summit of
Christian life. (The Eucharist: The source and summit of the Christian).
For centuries the Mass was celebrated almost all in Latin and was only based on

William Shakespeare s The Winter s Tale
Shakespeare s The Winter s Tale can be viewed as a tragicomedy that draws upon elements of As
You Like It and Othello. Similar themes of trust, love, treachery, infidelity and tyranny are found
throughout all three plays. While The Winter s Tale and As You Like It share similar happy
endings, Othello shares more concepts with The Winter s Tale, but ends with a much more tragic
ending. Both Leontes and Othellohave severe trust issues and accuse their wives of having affairs.
In these plays, both kings end up being incorrect and therefore produce really dramatic story lines.
In Othello, Iagoplants the seed of jealousy in Othello s mind, as opposed to in The Winter s Tale,
in which Leontes s own paranoia feeds this idea in his mind to the point where he orders his
wife and baby to be sent away. As You Like It is a play which encompasses themes of love and
issues of brotherhood and violation of primogeniture. The conflicts raised at the beginning of the
play are resolved at the end of the play just like in The Winter s Tale. Act V of The Winter s Tale
draws elements from the other plays when the truth is finally revealed about the innocent wives and
when there is a happy ending in the plays other than Othello. The main difference between these
two plays, is that Othello ends with tragedyand multiple deaths, and The Winter s Tale ends with
family unity and happiness. The Winter s Tale is labeled as a tragic comedy because the first three
acts of the play feel much like a

The TMC (Toyota Motor Company) identified an untapped market in the US in the 1970 s when

a market the Big Three were not equipped to meet. Toyota and other Japanese car manufactures

Rhetorical Analysis Of Andrew Sinek s Ted Presentation
1. Use a contrarian approach. Make a statement of a universally accepted concept, then go against
conventional wisdom by contradicting the statement. For example, a market trader starts by
contradicting the commonly held advice of buying low and selling high. He says: It s wrong.
Why? Because buying low typically entails a stock that s going in the opposite direction down
from the most desired direction up. This is a provocative opening that engages the audience right
away.
2. Ask a series of rhetorical questions. A common way to engage the audience at the startis to ask a
rhetorical question. Better still, start with a series of rhetorical questions. A good example of this
tactic is Simon Sinek s TED presentation. He starts with: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

5. Provide a reference to a historical event. There are times when the day that you present may
have some significance in history that can be tied to the subject of your presentation, as an
opening gambit. You can easily look up what happened on any day in Today In Sport or a more
general site such as This Day In History. You never know what pertinence it might have that will
add some pizzazz to your presentation. It s worth a look.
6. Use the word imagine. The word imagine invites the audience to create a mental image of
something. Ever since John Lennon s famous song, it has become a powerful word with
emotional appeal. A particularly skillful use of the word occurs in Jane Chen s TED talk. She
speaks about a low cost incubator that can save many lives in underdeveloped countries. Chen
opens by saying: Please close your eyes and open your hands. Now imagine what you could
place in your hands, an apple, maybe your wallet. Now open your eyes. What about a life? As
she says this, she displays a slide with an Anne Geddes image of a tiny baby held in an adult s
hands. There is power in asking the audience to conjure up their imagination, to play along. This
tactic can easily be adapted to any topic where you want the audience to imagine a positive
outcome, or a vision of a better tomorrow. It

Essay On Should Female Soccer Players Be Paid More
Women Soccer Players Should be Paid More In the year 2015, the Women s United States

was a great accomplishment, in the 2014 Men s World Cup, Germany won and earned a
whopping $35 million. This is a major pay gap between the men and women s soccer teams. I
believe that women soccer players should be paid as much or more than their male counterparts.
Many people believe that men and women soccer players are paid perfectly the way they are, but
the way that the women are getting paid is an enormous issue in today s society. Women should be

that when the women played Japan, in 2015, in the World Cup championship, there were more than

The industry in which Zespri functions in within New Zealand can be broken up into three broad
value generating activities. The first activity is growing of kiwifruit which pertains to the orchards
and includes pest and disease control and harvesting. The second includes the post harvesting
activities including grading, packing and storing. The final stage and perhaps the most intrinsic
stage includes the exporting. This includes the selling and distribution of the kiwifruit to overseas
markets. Zespri International group is responsible for marketing almost all the export quality fruit
from New Zeland. The only exclusion being the Austrailian Market.
COMPANY STRATEGY
Ensuring success was not always easy for Zespri. In fact it can be said that the mere creation
itself of Zespri by the New Zealand Kiwifruit Industry was a branding strategy created to regain
the lost opportunity taken by New Zealands lower cost counter parts; Chile and Italy (cvtb). It
seemed as though the new strategy was a valid attempt to develope and sustain a market
orientation within the broad Kiwifruit industry.Zespri s structure was always said to be from the
Market to the orchard as opposed to traditionally being the other way around (cvtb). The brand
strategy s main aim was to differentiate New Zealand s own kiwifruit as being something iconic
and premium as a product. The aim furthered out to moving Zespri out from

Becoming A Disciple Of Jesus
In this paper, the writer will reveal how becoming a disciple of Jesus arranged and rearranged life
about the Great Commission. The writer will also express one area that is more efficient to
rearrange as a disciple.
According to Willard, a disciple is someone who has decided to be with another person, under
appropriate conditions, in order to become capable of doing what that person does or to become
what that person is. (282) A disciple of Jesusis learning to be like Jesus, giving up the will of self to
the will of Jesus. Just as Jesus surrendered His will to the will of the Father. To be like Jesus, a
person must do to Jesus in Luke 9:23, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow
Me. In other words, a person must completely dedicate themselves to Jesus and be obedient and
trust God s plan for their life. God says in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord, plans for welfare, and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. God is
our ultimate source. He knows what it takes to form a person s character as being Christlike and
developing them as a disciple, just as He did the Twelve.
For instance, to arrange and rearrange the writer life s affairs, the writer had to resign from the
job of eight years and six months to follow after Christ and trust His plans for what lies ahead. In
spite of the struggles, tests, and trials, God was always in the midst of every situation the writer
encountered.

Competitive Structure Of The Airline Industry
We determine an industry s level of rivalry based on four qualities that contribute to the level of
rivalry: industry competitive structure, industry demand, cost condition, and exit barrier.
Aggregating each quality determines the overall impact on the industry, intensity of competition,
and ultimately, the profit potential.
The competitive structure of an industry can be described as either fragmented or consolidated. A
consolidated industry consists of few, but large companies. They not only control the market like
that of an oligarchy, but have the capacity to determine industry prices. This is a contrast from a
fragmented industry. Fragmented industries consist of numerous small or medium sized companies
that do not have the power ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Industry demand within a market reflects the level of demand by consumers. Industries that
experience high demand are more attractive and profitable. The basis of this reasoning is that
higher consumer demand can be shared amongst industry participants. Companies in this market
would not have to fight one another over customers. Inversely, industries with declining demand,
forces companies to fight each other for the small, residual demand left within the market. Now, a
company can grow only by taking market share away from other companies (Hill Jones, 2012, pg.
62). Industries that exhibit such a characteristic are deemed unattractive and lead to lower profit
margins.
The airline industry has exhibited high grow throughout 2016. In 2016, passenger demand grew
by 6.3% above the 5.5% 10 year average annual growth. In North America, demand rose by 2.6%.

for air travel is still expanding ( Another Strong Year , 2017). In the first half of 2017, Juniac s

  • 2. The Outsiders Should Not Be Banned The Outsiders English teachers in middle schools and high schools have been through many debates over the years on whether or not a certain book should be taught to students in United States public schooling systems. The Outsiders, is a book that should not be on the list of banned books. Believe it or not the book has been banned from schools and libraries. The Outsiders should not be banned because it provides valuable life lessons involving loyalty. Books like this one, that involve gangmembers, fighting, shooting, stabbing and other gory incidents, should be portrayed to kids in middle schooland beyond. This generation that people are growing up in nowadays is a weak, soft generation who need to realize that the world is not always going to be kind to them. The neighborhoods that a lot of kids live in are safe environments, which is not a bad thing, but they are unaware of the horrible things that go on in the ghettos or other places in our nation. Books are a great way to reach out to kids and show them valuable life lessons while also giving them learning experiences through that English class they are enrolled in. The author of this novel, The Outsiders, Susan Eloise Hinton, is a very popular author of young adult fiction stories and she is especially popular in the Oklahoma area because she makes the setting in a lot of her books from that area. She wrote the books That Was Then, This Is Now, Rumble Fish, Tex, and Taming The Star Runner. The Outsiders was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I was prescribed blue/turquoise tinted glasses and for everything to be printed on blue paper. A Good Example Of Mr. Johnson s First Amendment Rights In the year 1984 1989 there was a case that struck America and shows a very good example to having your first amendment rights, not everyone will necessarily agree with this but this is how Mr. Johnson took his actions against the supreme court. This case is based on Mr. Johnson feeling violated against his first amendment right and standing up for himself and burning the American flag. Many patriotic people would completely disagree with this but, in our first amendment we have the freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Leading Mr. Johnson to this case because the American flag is supposed to represent our country and our freedom. Gregory Lee Johnson burned an American flag outside of the convention center where the 1984 Republican National Convention was being held in Dallas, Texas. Johnson burned the flag to protest the policies of President Ronald Reagan. He was arrested and charged with violating a Texas statute that prevented the desecration of a venerated object, including the American flag, if such action were likely to incite anger in others. A Texas court tried and convicted Johnson. He appealed, arguing that his actions were symbolic speech protected by the First Amendment. The primary goal of the force was to prevent further Iraqi action, but most countries were aware the force might eventually be used to drive Iraq from Kuwait. The Iraqis tried to prevent and split the growing international coalition through several means. They made it clear that their adversaries would pay heavily if war broke out, and they hinted they would use chemical weapons and missile attacks on cities. Iraq also held citizens of coalition countries who had been in Kuwait at the time of the invasion and said they would be held in militarily camp areas in effect using them as human shields to prevent coalition attacks. The following are a few tips to help keep the cold and flu bugs at bey. 1. Wash your hands frequently. This is a commonly known virus fighter. Anything we touch has been touched by others who might be carrying a virus. Frequent hand washing can keep us from allowing these germs to enter our bodies. 2. Crack a window in your house for a few hours a day. One of the reasons a house gets sick during the winter is because the germs have no where to go. It is not reasonable to assume a culturewill remain static, but when the traditions, language, and lifestyle of thousands of peoples are eradicated within a 500 year time span, that is no longer evolution, but intentional extinction. Some cultures managed to stay somewhat intact, but they are under a new threat to assimilate to the homogeneity of language, culture, and technology brought on by globalization or face extinction. Robert Sternberg s Theory Of Love Love in terms of a relationship can be described as an experience between two people sharing mutual feelings, understandings and the enjoyment of being with one another. What love is varies from person to person; Psychologist Robert Sternberg came up with the triangular theory of love stating there are three main components for any loverelationships. Another psychologist Elaine Hatfield suggests that there are two basic types of love for relationships. On the other hand, an anthropologist Helen Fisher explains that love is a primarily a human mating motivational drive, rather than an emotion (Fisher, H. 2004). With these three theories of love, this essay looks at the different ways of how love can or cannot survive in a love relationship.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As long as at least either passion, intimacy or commitment is present, a certain type of love will exist and survive. The similarities between Sternberg s theory to Hatfield s passionate companionate love shows that to prolong a love relationship requires passion, intimacy and commitment. As we get used to the relationship and we are not afraid our partner will leave us, so we re not as focused on the craving as we once were. Hence, the triangular theory of love serves as a good reminder to both short term and long term love relationships of what a good loving relationship. While this model covers three very important core elements of a love relationship, it does not cater other factors that might have an effect. For instance, people will experience numerous changes throughout their life time, perhaps accidents can cause people to suffer from brain damage which result the inability to love someone. Cultures can cause profound impact on how people experience love, the triangular theory of love covers most types of relationship but not all. The effect of cultural difference can be further discussed with examples. Be love simply a human mating drive or emotional states, it still remain as a very complex matter that perhaps words can t fully cover the entire spectrum of it. There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers (Proverbs 6:16 19). The seven deadly sinsare pride, gluttony, sloth, envy, greed, anger, and lust. Pride is the excessive belief that one person has so much belief in himself and his abilities, that it interferes with the person s realization of the grace of God. Pride is also known for the excessive pride in one s achievements, or in other words, vanity. Gluttony is to eat and drink more than one person requires. I see due to Toyota s lack of initiative by not moving more manufacturing to the US and innovation as an opportunity to enter the small car market that was previously dominated by the Japanese manufactures. With all this said Toyota still had a great reputation for producing a very reliable product, with this reputation Toyota could be one change away from becoming a major player ... • 31. Rhetorical Analysis Of Andrew Sinek s Ted Presentation 1. Use a contrarian approach. Make a statement of a universally accepted concept, then go against conventional wisdom by contradicting the statement. For example, a market trader starts by contradicting the commonly held advice of buying low and selling high. He says: It s wrong. Why? Because buying low typically entails a stock that s going in the opposite direction down from the most desired direction up. This is a provocative opening that engages the audience right away. 2. Ask a series of rhetorical questions. A common way to engage the audience at the startis to ask a rhetorical question. Better still, start with a series of rhetorical questions. A good example of this tactic is Simon Sinek s TED presentation. He starts with: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... That s over 31 million football fields of rainforest each year. 5. Provide a reference to a historical event. There are times when the day that you present may have some significance in history that can be tied to the subject of your presentation, as an opening gambit. You can easily look up what happened on any day in Today In Sport or a more general site such as This Day In History. You never know what pertinence it might have that will add some pizzazz to your presentation. It s worth a look. 6. Use the word imagine. The word imagine invites the audience to create a mental image of something. Ever since John Lennon s famous song, it has become a powerful word with emotional appeal. A particularly skillful use of the word occurs in Jane Chen s TED talk. She speaks about a low cost incubator that can save many lives in underdeveloped countries. Chen opens by saying: Please close your eyes and open your hands. Now imagine what you could place in your hands, an apple, maybe your wallet. Now open your eyes. What about a life? As she says this, she displays a slide with an Anne Geddes image of a tiny baby held in an adult s hands. There is power in asking the audience to conjure up their imagination, to play along. This tactic can easily be adapted to any topic where you want the audience to imagine a positive outcome, or a vision of a better tomorrow. It ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When they won they earned a $2 million. Even though this was a great accomplishment, in the 2014 Men s World Cup, Germany won and earned a whopping $35 million. This is a major pay gap between the men and women s soccer teams. I believe that women soccer players should be paid as much or more than their male counterparts. Many people believe that men and women soccer players are paid perfectly the way they are, but the way that the women are getting paid is an enormous issue in today s society. The industry in which Zespri functions in within New Zealand can be broken up into three broad value generating activities. The first activity is growing of kiwifruit which pertains to the orchards and includes pest and disease control and harvesting. The second includes the post harvesting activities including grading, packing and storing. The final stage and perhaps the most intrinsic stage includes the exporting. This includes the selling and distribution of the kiwifruit to overseas markets. Zespri International group is responsible for marketing almost all the export quality fruit from New Zeland. The only exclusion being the Austrailian Market. COMPANY STRATEGY Ensuring success was not always easy for Zespri. In fact it can be said that the mere creation itself of Zespri by the New Zealand Kiwifruit Industry was a branding strategy created to regain the lost opportunity taken by New Zealands lower cost counter parts; Chile and Italy (cvtb). It seemed as though the new strategy was a valid attempt to develope and sustain a market orientation within the broad Kiwifruit industry.Zespri s structure was always said to be from the Market to the orchard as opposed to traditionally being the other way around (cvtb). The brand strategy s main aim was to differentiate New Zealand s own kiwifruit as being something iconic and premium as a product. The aim furthered out to moving Zespri out from ... • 35. Becoming A Disciple Of Jesus In this paper, the writer will reveal how becoming a disciple of Jesus arranged and rearranged life about the Great Commission. The writer will also express one area that is more efficient to rearrange as a disciple. According to Willard, a disciple is someone who has decided to be with another person, under appropriate conditions, in order to become capable of doing what that person does or to become what that person is. (282) A disciple of Jesusis learning to be like Jesus, giving up the will of self to the will of Jesus. Just as Jesus surrendered His will to the will of the Father. To be like Jesus, a person must do to Jesus in Luke 9:23, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. In other words, a person must completely dedicate themselves to Jesus and be obedient and trust God s plan for their life. God says in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare, and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. God is our ultimate source. He knows what it takes to form a person s character as being Christlike and developing them as a disciple, just as He did the Twelve. For instance, to arrange and rearrange the writer life s affairs, the writer had to resign from the job of eight years and six months to follow after Christ and trust His plans for what lies ahead. In spite of the struggles, tests, and trials, God was always in the midst of every situation the writer encountered. Ogden ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Competitive Structure Of The Airline Industry We determine an industry s level of rivalry based on four qualities that contribute to the level of rivalry: industry competitive structure, industry demand, cost condition, and exit barrier. Aggregating each quality determines the overall impact on the industry, intensity of competition, and ultimately, the profit potential. The competitive structure of an industry can be described as either fragmented or consolidated. A consolidated industry consists of few, but large companies. They not only control the market like that of an oligarchy, but have the capacity to determine industry prices. This is a contrast from a fragmented industry. Fragmented industries consist of numerous small or medium sized companies that do not have the power ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Industry demand within a market reflects the level of demand by consumers. Industries that experience high demand are more attractive and profitable. The basis of this reasoning is that higher consumer demand can be shared amongst industry participants. Companies in this market would not have to fight one another over customers. Inversely, industries with declining demand, forces companies to fight each other for the small, residual demand left within the market. Now, a company can grow only by taking market share away from other companies (Hill Jones, 2012, pg. 62). Industries that exhibit such a characteristic are deemed unattractive and lead to lower profit margins. The airline industry has exhibited high grow throughout 2016. In 2016, passenger demand grew by 6.3% above the 5.5% 10 year average annual growth. In North America, demand rose by 2.6%. Alexandre de Juniac, CEO of IATA, said that air travel was a good news story in 2016. Demand for air travel is still expanding ( Another Strong Year , 2017). In the first half of 2017, Juniac s prediction already came true. In June, the airline market has demonstrated a substantial upward trend. Go to the next pairing that was not on the ice and rotate from there. в—ЏOne word of caution this table only works if the rotation is Blue, Red and Gold. If the rotation switches to Blue, Gold, Red, then the table must change also. It is simple to do and to write into your notebook in case the line order changes during a game. If you have four forward lines, keeping the same relative rotation is easier but again, be prepared in your notebook for those changes. If he is a left wing, for instance, I might place a third penalty killing pair on the ice that is missing a left wing or switch some position assignments to ensure the penalized player properly fits on a line up front.
