Our approach relies on using the insulating nature of the cellular plasma membrane to monitor and
analyze the cellular behavior of human lung epithelial cells in real time. Using an electrical cell
impedance sensing (ECIS) device, we can measure and quantify changes in the cellular behavior,
morphology, interactions in real time. These measurements will be further analyzed to derive structure
function relations that correlates the cellular mechanisms with the cytotoxic and apoptotic events
associated with CNTs exposure in real time.
The ECIS device, in principle, is an electrolytic circuit. It measures the changes in resistance value
between an active electrode where the cells are attached and a counter electrode using the growth
media as an electrolyte (figure 1). Once the cells are seeded on the ECIS gold electrodes the current is
forced to flow either below, between or through the cells, thus providing measurement of three

As Callum is running away from the school bully, he comes face to face with a ghost boy and it s pet
hellhound. Though he is terrified, Callum takes in every detail of the boy and the dog, One of the boy

that the pale figure wasn t a living human. And the strange familiarity between the boy and the dog
made Callum sure that the creature wasn t mortal either (44) setting Callum on edge. Now he was

It was a flayed face, a face that had been peeled of skin and laid bare (108). The creepy description of

Riders to the Sea is a one act play written by Irish playwright John Millington Synge. J.M. Synge,
after visiting the Aran Islands situated off the Irish coast, and found inspiration in the peasant life of
rural Ireland. He started making annual trips in the summer and studied the lives of ordinary people
and observed their superstitions, culture and folklore. This play was based on his experiences while he
was there. On one of his trips he heard the story of a man whose body was found washed up on the

I believe that competitive grading sabotages good teaching. From being a student, I know that students
do not enjoy a class where they know that their teacher is against them. When teachers grade anything,
they should point out mistakes; however, they should point out what is correct too in order to
encourage students. Teachers should not feel good about themselves when many students fail an
examination or do not do well on a paper; instead, they should realize that they have not taught their
