8. Summary 5 Bibliography 6 1. What is trade liberation The elimination or decrease of restrictions or
obstructions on the free exchange of goods amongst nations. This comprises the removal or reduction
of both liabilities and surcharges and non tariff complications (like licensing rules, quotas and other
requirements). The simplification of these restrictions is often referred to as promoting trade
liberation. (Investopedia. LLC, 2015) Trade liberalization treats that it can cost jobs and even lives, as
cheaper goods flood the market. It ultimately lowers consumer costs, increases efficacy and promotes
economic growth. (Investopedia. LLC, 2015) 2. Trade liberation in India The Indian economy has
entered a level of high growth in the current years, after a long period of little growth. As the
economic growth is not sufficient to achieve any developments, the policy makers shifted the concern
towards making the growth of the economy through a method where employment is at its
fundamental. 3. Back ground of trade liberation in India In 1960s and 1970s, the economic growth rate
of GDP in India had been still at 3−3.5 percent per year (Mishra Kumar, 2005).

Personal Statement For Drive Wild
Author Statement for Drive Wild
I created Drive Wild to advertise the 2016 Ford Focus Electric. I took into consideration lighting,
media type, audience, color, imagery, composition, and text in an attempt to promote potential
consumers to buy the vehicle. I also kept in mind the common theme of the environment that most
electric vehicle advertisements use to persuade the consumers while creating my advertisement.
I created Drive Wild with the use of Photoshop. I knew the program would help me achieve my
desired look because of the variety of functions it offers over Microsoft Word. I used Photoshop s
capabilities of photo manipulation to integrate multiple images to create my own single image in an
attempt to persuade viewers to invest in a Ford Focus Electric. Making the single images seem like
they belonged together within the composition proved to be challenging. However, it was necessary in
order to get the look I desired.
One of the toughest part about getting the look I desired, besides making it look like one image, was
the lighting. I knew without proper lighting to integrate the single images into a unified whole the
advertisement would look fake and cheap. I wanted to avoid the advertisement looking like this
because of the low quality advertisements suggest a low quality product. Cheap looking
advertisements reduce the Ethos, which I wanted to avoid. Advertisements are based on the visual
aspects and without visual interest the ad is less persuasive to the

American Religion
I can say here that religion has played a complex, vibrant, and multifaceted role in our nation s history.
One of the most effective ways to help pastors, students or leaders to explore its vitality understands
of American religion life through the lens of historical perspective. The topics such as churches and
the Nation: Complacency conscience and critique had wide ranging of religion understanding in
American life. When I read through the assigned subject, I find that the authors had offers the rich of
spiritual heritage as a central for every event in American history. The authors begin by describing the
state of religious affairs in both the old ideas and new ideas of the world on the eve of colonization

Concern about the treatment of blacks had preceded the civil war (Butler, Wacker and Balmer 302).
Can you explain for me because the religion in American life was been written by three of the country
s most eminent historians of religion and it can be complex to understand what their intention behind
this statement. I think their offer overviews religion in American which continues spans from four
centuries ago concerning spiritual adventures in American history and the present time. I have a lot to
learn from this context of religious point of view. Is it there other churches including black churches
symbolized the ultimate threat to white church existence, or those who immigrate to here into
American had established strong communion with each other and they relied heavily on their
churches. I observed through my study that almost immigrate were retained their faith in God and
found refuge in their churches. I also see that all people immigrate into American who form churches
including black churches share or have shared the same aspirations and strategies for creating
cohesive of their communities regardless of their denominational differences their churches have

The European Private Equity And Venture Capital Association
The European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) released its report on the
investment, divestment and fundraising activity in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region last
year at the end of last week. The report shows that 2014 was a robust year for the region, while some
differences in private equity and venture capital investment remained in the region.
Investment in the Region
The Central and Eastern Europe Statistics 2014 report found that capital investment by funds
increased in the region by 66%. Total investment from funds in the region stood at €1.3 billion in
2014. This is a good achievement, especially in the light of the whole of Europe, which only managed
to grow investment by 14%.
Furthermore, CEE was able to increase its share of investment. While the region received 2.2% of the
total European private equity investment in 2013, last year the region attracted 3.2% of total
investment. This was mainly influenced by two very large CEE buyout transactions. Together these
two deals accounted for nearly 40%, or €520 million, of the total investment value in the region.
The specific regions that attracted the most private equity investments were Serbia and the Czech
Republic. Serbia accounted for nearly 25% of total investment value, while the Czech Republic
received around 23% of the regional total. These two countries were closely followed by Poland and
Hungary, with the four countries accounting for 80% of all private equity

Educational Experience For Learners Of All Ages
The arts are essential to providing a healthy educational experience for learners of all ages. Though
treated by many as frivolous subjects, they provide vital tools for communication, engagement and
successful instruction. It makes sense to incorporate the arts across the curriculum not only will
schools improve, but students will develop important social and emotional skills, we will save money
in the long run by keeping our students learning and engaged in work, and we will make the world a
more beautiful place. To quote Charles Fowler (1994),
The arts are not pretty bulletin boards. They are not turkeys and bunny rabbits. They are not frivolous
entertainment. The arts are our humanity. They are the languages of civilization through which we
express our fears, our anxieties, our hungers, our struggles, our hopes. They are systems of meaning
that have real utility. This is why schools that provide students with the means and the encouragement
to explore these realms provide a better education. (p.9).
It is time for us to acknowledge as a society that schools are not just a building in which we instruct
students on math, science and reading (though the arts would still be a vital tool even if that were the
case). They are where students develop the skills essential to being human. Simply put, the arts can
only benefit our schools, and should we choose to make them a priority, we will see definitive success.
Using the arts in an academic setting allows teachers to

Rabies Virus
History of the Virus
The rabies virus is a major public health hazard all around the world, despite the strategies that have
been put in place to fight this infection. It is estimated that the disease kills an average of 35,000
people every year, mostly in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. It is a viral disease which directly leads
to the death of the infected individual or animal. Human beings contract the infection from a bite from
a rabid animal, but human to human transmission normally occurs as a result of organ
transplantations. The rabies virus is all over the globe except a handful of nations in which there are
effective quarantine systems, natural barriers such as rivers and mountains or rigorous eradication of
the disease. By 1995, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and the environment. That is why in specific areas, the disease was transmitted by only one host
species (Shantavasinkul et al., 2010). Since the dog or canine is the most widely spread carrier in the
world, it explains why the disease was able to spread worldwide. The canine is the biotype of the
RABV and thus facilitated the spread of the disease. Some novel Lyssaviruses have been identified as

Blue Crabs
Maryland is known for their blue crabs, but if crabbers exploit the blue crabs population, Maryland s
famous blue crabs will be extinct. Blue crabs play a large economic role in Maryland as they bring in
money for the state, whether it be from people going crabbing or eating crabs. With all the benefits of
blue crabs in Maryland, the government has taken a stand to ensure a large blue crab population in the
future.
The blue crab population in the Chesapeake Bay was considered to be a surplus from the 1950s to
around the 2000s as well as in the Bay s tributaries (Stagg Whilden, 1997). The blue crabs in
Maryland live for about three years (Stagg Whilden, 1997). This is part of the reason that it s so
important that a high level of blue crabs is maintained so that they ll be able to produce offspring
future generations. Approximately 75% of the entire blue crab population is made up of the crabs in
Maryland (Lui, 2015). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The female blue crab population increased by 32 million from 2014 to 2015 to be a 101 million ( Blue
Crab , 2016). In 2016, the female blue crab population also rose dramatically. The female population
increased by 93 million for there to be a total of 194 million female blue crabs ( Blue Crab , 2016).
This increase was important because it showed the regulations place were working and that they did
not need to be modified. Also, the female blue crab population is substantially over the threshold of 70
million, which infers that the blue crabs are not being overharvested. The total blue crab population in
Maryland increased by 114 million in 2015 and by 142 million in 2016 to 553 million ( 2016 Blue,
2016). The rise in the total population supported that the regulations in effect were beneficial to help
the blue crab population increase. With the 10% decrease in the total amount that the female blue
crabs were harvested, the population was able to steadily increase over the coming

Euthyphro Dialogue Analysis
In the dialogue Euthyphro, Plato introduces the reader to the interlocutor Euthyphro, a dogmatically
religious man who claimed to have great knowledge of the gods. Euthyphro used his understanding of
pious and impious as an excuse to indict his father on murder charges. Socrates was interested in
Euthyphro s unshakable religious convictions but by using the Socratic method the reader slowly
learns that Euthyphro has not truly delved into himself and examined his strong held beliefs. Plato
holds Euthyphro up to the reader as an example and a warning, that even if one believes they are
living a righteous life, if they never stop and look within themselves and self examine their beliefs one
can do irreparable harm to not only their soul but to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Socrates explained that the gods never explicitly stated what was right and wrong. Even when they
claimed to comment on just acts, they simple defined what they did as just because they believed it
was so. Socrates tried to explain to Euthyphro that discussing what the gods found to be just or
virtuous was a good start on the journey of self discovery but it wasn t the end of it. Euthyphro had to
continue on this journey and look within himself to seek and find the answers for himself. By taking
the time to work on himself internally and seek the answers to these questions and not just rely on
what gods say to be true, he would be on the path to living a life of areté. If Euthyphro did this, he
would no longer be in conflict with the world around him but in harmony with

its race that they are concerned about, either way people try to change who they are. In ABC, the
author Yang reveals many common stereotypes about chinese people and the struggle they might have

culture. He now can see how hard it is to fit in.
Jin Wang was born in America but is also Chinese. He faces some difficulties with racism and
stereotypes as he grows up. He just moved to a new school from San Francisco. The teacher
introduces him to the class and says, Class, I d like us all to give a warm Mayflower Elementary
welcome to your new friend and Classmate Jin Wang...He and his family recently moved to our

actually say this. She is too ignorant to ask so she just assumed that since he is Chinese, that he must
be from China. He was born in America. This just shows how ignorant people are about other cultures.
It makes it even harder to fit in if people don t even care where you re from and just make
assumptions. Jin now experiences this first hand. He tries so hard to fit in and be normal. He goes as
far as changing his hair to match the guys hair that Amelia likes. When he isn t noticed as much he
wants to become someone else, someone who will fit in. He wakes up in the morning a new person, as

French New Wave Film Techniques
Breathless is a 1960 French New Wave film, written and directed by Jean Luc Godard, about a
wandering criminal and his girlfriend. The film premiered in France, attracting two million viewers
and winning both the Prix Jean Vigo and the Berlin International Film Festival Award for Best
Director in 1960. Godard s interesting use of numerous jump cuts in the story as well as documentary
style cinematography is what makes Breathless so iconic and recognized as one of the earliest and
most influential examples of the French New Wave genre. One of the main components of the film is
its use of jump cuts. In Godard s work, every scene with slow intervals was edited or removed,
creating multiple jump cuts that represented the passage of time. This feature was a common method

The main character breaks the forth wall, a method that dismisses the common film making practice of
the time, mirroring the rebellious nature once again. The French New Wave genre strived to go against
the aspects of Hollywood professionalism of other films, and Godard does so in many of his works. In
Breathless, as the camera focuses on the main character, he looks right back and speaks to the
audience. This technique allows the story to progress through as the main character narrates. Apart
from jump cutting, Godard uses documentary style cinematography to differ from the sporadic effects
of his editing. The film s cinematography is captured in a hand held like manner, creating a sense of
realism. Godard used continuous shots for many of his dialogue scenes, following the main character
in his more slow paced, quiet moments, drawing out the mood. Breathless captures the New Wave
genre in these methods of breaking Hollywood s typical rules in film making and its use of
documentary style

“Why Byzantine Economy Remained One of the Most Powerful...
Why Byzantine economy remained one of the most powerful in Europe through Early Middle Ages?
The Byzantine cconomy was one of the largest systems throughout Europe and the Mediterannean for
many centuries. Both local and international trade were of huge importance for the Byzantine Empire.
Lower class, including traders, depended on the upper class. Their need of the foreign goods in order
to stay in Local trade was much less popular. Throughout the fourth and sixth centuries, long distance

The Byzantines considered land a common resource, not to be bought or sold, but it is valuable only if
the men were invesing in it. The biggest loss of the inhabitants and land was in 541 due to the plague,
where Constantinopole lost 40 % of its inhabitants. It affected both cities and countryside, as well as
the routes of trading and communication, and significantly shrank the economic production. In the 9th
century after the plague, peace was slowly reestablished and territories started to increase (Bryer 101
113).
From the other side, Constantinople was presented as a very wealthy capital which served as
propaganda for the foreigners that came to visit it, as well as for their own citizens. Constantinopole
was fully decorated with the foreign imported material such as silk or gold. The 10th century was one
of the most powerful in the Byzantine Empire history, and through that period, Constantinopole was
the biggest centre of the international trade, with merchants mostly from Italy, Syria, and Bulgaria. In
the middle of the 10th century international trade with Muslims became very popular, while in the
11th and 12th century economy of exchange took place. Before the ninth and tenth century, Arabs
were invading Egypt and Syria, which ruined the Byzantine trade, but since the population size
increased in ninth and tenth century, production and trade also increased, especially the demand for
grain. The shipping was important for the international trade, so

you can develop the same cancer if a relative has that type of cancer. Certain factors that can
contribute to this are two or more people on the same side (either father s or mother s) of the family
that has developed that cancer, a relative developed the cancer at a young age, or a relative has
developed two different types of cancer. Most of these cancers are caused by a faulty gene that is

Social Discrepancies Of Titanic, By James Cameron
Social Discrepancies of Titanic Proportions James Cameron s renowned film Titanic is more than just
a love story, and more than a mere portrayal of the tragic sinking of the unsinkable ship; it is a
representation of the socioeconomic disparities between the haves and the have nots during the early
1900s. As explained by Levinson (2012), Edwardian era society was based on a social hierarchy
dictated by wealth and social class; specifically, the Titanic s passengers were divided into three
classes, determined not only by the price of their ticket, but by their wealth and social position (150).
This socioeconomic class division is evident through the film s plot in which Jack Dawson, a jobless,
lower class American who wins his way onto the RMS Titanic, shares an inter socioeconomic class
relationship with upper class Rose DeWitt Bukater. This storyline allows for overlaps between the first
and third class, and ultimately depicts the ideology of Outsiders versus Insiders (LCR). Outlined in the
Left Center Right Model for identifying ideologies, Outsiders versus Insiders is an ideology where a
left wing view identifies with the poor and disenfranchised, also know as the Outsiders, and the right
winged view identifies with the Establishment and people in power, or the Insiders (LCR). Titanic
represents the outsider oriented perspective on social class through the difference between first and
third class environments, the neglect given towards the third class,

Roper Park Case Study
It appears the trailer at Roper Park may be heading for the dump instead of the airport. The triple wide
trailer had served as the previous Boys and Girls headquarters in Roper Park and earlier this year
appeared destined to become a base at the airport. But slow work and rain may have sidetracked the
project. The ramshackle mess now sitting between the baseball fields looks like something hit by a
tornado with piles of wood, plenty of exposed nails, sheet of tin and other debris piled around it. A
Progress reporter and photographer accompanied Airport Manager Randy Thomason on an inspection

Thomason said below $20,000 it made sense, but at $75,000 or more, other options were financially
more practical. Both Thomason and Jones said the low bidder, Shannon s Mobile Home Moving and

porches and stairs, they appear to have quit and the project stalled with the roof removed, allowing
rain to damage the interior. Jones said the trailer had originally been slated for demolition and money
paid to the contractor for removing the roof, stairs and porches would have had to be done regardless
of where the trailer winds up. We were originally planning to haul it to the dump [before the airport
authority expressed interest], Jones said in a phone interview Tuesday. So we are not out anything.
There will be no use to have it hauled to the airport if we are going to have to deal with mold or other
issues. If it is determined that the trailer is no longer worth moving, the county will still face a
substantial chore in demolition and cleaning the site in the center of the park. But Jones noted
demolition and clean up was the original plan so they are basically back to where they started. In other

Essay On Animal Captivity
Jess Ramsey English 3 16 May 2017 Captive Creatures Yay or Nay? The issue on whether or not to
keep animals in captivity has been debated heavily for a long time. With species such as the panda on
the verge of extinction to mistreatment of marine mammals in theme parks such as Sea World, keeping
wild animals under the care of humans has been a struggle and a highly controversial topic. Even
though many people believe that animals should not be kept in captivity because humans are incapable
of fully understanding and providing specific needs for wild animals, certain animals can be kept
happy and healthy in captivity, and these animals are an important educational tool for teaching people
of all ages about biology, biodiversity, and the ecosystems of the world. For one thing, many animals
in captivity are animals that were found sick or injured, and are being nursed back to health. Danielle

According to Savannah Miller, another author, animals born in captivity are not able to return to the
wild. Miller states, From the first minute of life, animals born in captivity are exposed to humans and
captive animal care customs. Because of brain development patterns and learned behaviors during
infancy, captive infants do not have the ability to survive in their natural habitats. Release creates
anxiety for the animal, as they cannot acclimate to the foreign environment, and eventually they perish
either by predation or exposure. By keeping them in captivity we save them from certain death. Of

Sarah Elshater s The Problem Of The Essential Indexical
Indexicals are important distinguishers of context within sentences. They are expressions that can be
uttered by multiple speakers, and have a different meaning or implication each time it is spoken. For
me to say I am Sarah Elshater has one meaning, for my older brother to say I am Sarah Elshater has a
completely separate meaning and would likely cause concern within my family should he say such a
thing. In The Problem of the Essential Indexical by John Perry, the notion of locating beliefs is
mentioned as an essential part of indexicals, as indexicals allow the speaker s belief to be expressed.
On page 5, Perry writes I shall use the term locating beliefs to refer to one s beliefs about where one
is, when it is, and who one is (Perry, The Problem of the Essential Indexical). ... Show more content

As I have countless documented proof that I am, in fact, Sarah Elshater, my utterance of the sentence
simply means that I know my name, and I am declaring my knowledge. For my brother to say that
sentence, he could have a sarcastic or mocking tone, which could indicate that he is joking. Or, he
could be genuine with his declaration, where he actually believes he is Sarah Elshater, in which case
we would take him to the hospital to have his brain checked out. When it comes to indexicals, content
is key to deciphering context, and without content, it can become difficult to understand a person s
intent. In this paper, I will outline Perry s problem of the essential indexical, as well as outline his
solution for this problem. In doing this, I will also make arguments for Perry s arguments about the

Fortunato Vs Poe
The characters in Mary Howitt s fable/poem, The Spider and the Fly, are ideal comparisons and
contrasts to the characters of Montressor and Fortunato in Edgar Allen Poe s short story, The Cask of
Amontillado. Anyone familiar with the often quoted first line, Will you walk into my parlor, said the
Spider to the Fly , could easily hear Will you walk into my catacombs, said Montressor to Fortunato!
Howitt s fable is a warning to any naïve individual who is being drawn into a dangerous situation by
the use of flattery and florid speech. While Hewitt s Fly is wise and not deceived, Poe s Fly
(Fortunato) is gullible and easily deceived. The naïve Fortunato is a wine connoisseur who prides
himself in his ability to distinguish average sherry from elegant wines, such as Amontillado. Having

The same way that the spider has no genuine regard for the fly, Montressor believes that Fortunato is
deserving of scorn, disrespect and mockery, showing it in several ways. M s disrespect for F is

regard for F s cough, he encourages F not to go deeper into the catacombs; M s intention is not for his
good will, but for his immolation. M scorns F when he refers to himself as a mason and produces a

Advertising Against Draftkings And One Issue Against Fanduel
For me when I watch sports (which is almost on a daily biases) it doesn t take very long to see an
advertisement for a fantasy gambling website such as Draftkings.com and FanDuel.com. Both of these
companies have had issues recently with their advertising. Recently there have been two issues of
false advertising against Draftkings and one issue against FanDuel. The first issue of false advertising
against Draftkings actually came from FanDuel. On March 13th an article was published by FORBES
detailing how FanDuel s lawyers were preparing a letter to send to Draftkings explaining how they
thought that the advertisements were not legal and why they should be taken down. If they refused
FanDuel would begin filing a lawsuit. The issue resided in Draftkings advertising that they were
Draftkings claiming they had the largest weekly cash pools, and claiming to be the #1 destination for
daily fantasy sports on the internet, while FanDuel believed that they had the numbers to prove that
Draftkings was wrong (Major Storm).
Due to the issues that FanDuel raised Draftkings was forced to change the way they marketed.
Draftkings resolved the issues before FanDuel took them to court. They no longer claim to have the
largest prize pool, simply because the amount of the prize pools changed everyday and it was to
difficult for the company to keep up if they were actually the largest any given day. They have
changes their slogan from claiming to be the #1 destination as well. Now if you

Dna Database Ethics
How would you feel about a DNA database having record of every man, woman and child in the
United States? Many questions are raised on whether it is ethical to have, safe and beneficial. A
national DNA database could help solve crimes, but it also allows for thousands of innocent people to
be at risk. Many argue against having a DNA database and many are for a database. I am going to
argue against having a national DNA database because it has potential of being hacked, it is a violation
of individual rights and DNA is not 100% accurate. A national DNA database would be under control
by the government, but is the government able to create such a secure system to protect valuable
information? Government computers were hacked in 2015, exposing ... Show more content on

Though there are many arguments against having a DNA database there are also reasons to have a
DNA database. DNA is one of the leading factors in putting criminals behind bars. When DNA is
evident in a criminal case, it makes that case a lot stronger. With a database of all citizens DNA it can
help law enforcement catch criminals to make communities safer. DNA will not only be able to help
solve crimes ongoing now and for the future but to help solve past crimes. DNA also allows for
scientist to use the valuable information for research to get a better understanding of health and safety
for individuals and to help link people who have the same medical condition. With an entire database
of all people, it allows for the system to not be discriminatory. Minorities make up the vast majority of
the criminal justice system. With every race, gender and ethnicity in the system it opens up the ability
for all people to be at risk for being in the system with DNA placing them for a crime and making it
harder to get away with one. There is also a possibility that having a DNA database will lower crime
rates. People who feel they can get away with crimes now, will have a higher chance of getting caught.
Those who fear getting caught because the government and police agencies have their DNA will be
less likely to commit crimes. Mark Kleiman a professor who deals with criminal justice stated, DNA

Permissibility Of Enhancements In Sports Ethics Analysis
The case against perfection evaluates the ethics of enhancement and the threats against human
freedom and flourishing that are created by enhancements and genetic engineering. In the case against
perfection, Michael J. Sandel illustrates how enhancements diminish certain aspects of humanity by
proposing the idea that enhancements in sports weaken the appreciation for natural talents and gifts. In
the subject of sport enhancements, Sandel suggests that there is a very thin line between developing
natural gifts and tainting those gifts with deception from enhancements. Enhancements in sports are a
controversial topic because there are so many arguments between which enhancements are considered
acceptable and which are considered unacceptable. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similarly, both enhancements in sports and genetic engineering increase happiness and well being of
individuals involved and both involve intervention from a medical stand point. In my discovery, the
timing of these alterations and enhancements seem to the only difference between the two. One is
determined by the athlete, an individual who is considered an adult, and the other is decided by the
parents, who desire their child to obtain specific traits and characteristics. Genetic engineering in
children simply offers the child an advantage in life in order to achieve greatness. If it is acceptable
and morally permissible to enhance our abilities as adults, then enhancing specific virtues, qualities,
and traits to heighten the future of our children would be deemed ethically permissible as

Poverty In Developing Countries
In today s global economy, if we want economic growth and development in developing countries,
improvements need to be made that provide opportunities for the well being of the citizens. Economic
growth and development has factors that include poverty and life expectancy rates. The various causes
of poverty make a huge impact and it changes trends in many countries that effect the way people live.
Even with certain changes that the government has made, numerous individuals and nations are still
living in a state of poverty. Poverty is a significant issue to society that may be overlooked in certain
countries because it is normalized, especially in developing countries, such as India, Africa, Haiti and
more. The citizens of these countries may be living off of $2.00 or less to provide for themselves and
their family. The level of poverty that increased and changed the lives of millions is the main cause of
conflict in developing countries.
Poverty has a wide range of causes and is defined as when a community lacks the financial resources
and essentials to enjoy a minimum standard of life... ( Poverty Investopedia ). Many developing
countries, or third world countries, are living in a state of poverty. Developing countries may be based

eccentric training it makes lower concentric but vaster eccentric strength enhancements compared
with concentric training, due to eccentric and concentric training providing dissimilar stimuli to the

morphological and neural adaptations in the early stages of eccentric and concentric training in order

Act 3 Of Julius Caesar Rhetorical Analysis
What exemplifies a speech in which persuasive appeals and devices convey emotion and persuade
audience members without using false information? Antony s speech in Act III of Julius Caesar by
William Shakespeare exemplifies a speech in which persuasive techniques work to achieve the
speaker s goal. Mark Antony s speech consists of several persuasive techniques that amalgamate to
form an effective piece of persuasive rhetoric. Antony s speech is an effective piece of persuasive
rhetoric because he uses ethos, pathos, and rhetorical questions. Mark Antony employs the persuasive
appeal ethos to deliver an effective persuasive speech. Ethos refers to listening and trusting in the

Rhetorical questions are meant to sway audiences to the speaker or writers thoughts on a subject.
Antony uses a rhetorical question to not only have the crowd think of Caesar, but also to have the
crowd think of Brutus. Antony says, He hath brought many captives home to Rome, / Whose ransoms
did the general coffers fill, / Did this in Caesar seem ambitious? (III.ii.16 18). This exhibits skillful use
of a rhetorical question because Antony not only contradicts Brutus about Caesar s ambition, but also
causes the crowd to support Caesar s character. This rhetorical question bears the contradiction of
Brutus because Antony refutes that Caesar was ambitious. This causes the crowd to question what
ambition means and what their idea of Caesar is. He tries to sway the crowd to support Caesar by
having them rethink what ambition is and what Brutus said. Antony also has the crowd question their
belief of Caesar and of authority. Antony uses a rhetorical question in, And to your heirs for ever,
common pleasures, / To walk abroad, and recreate yourselves. / Here was a Caesar! when comes such
another? (III.ii.178 180). Antony persuasively uses a rhetorical question because he causes the crowd
to question their meaning of authority. He also causes the crowd to once again question their idea of
Caesar. Antony tries to sway the audience to realize how good of a ruler Caesar was and how rare it is
that such a good ruler exists. In addition, Antony causes the crowd to recognize all the good that
Caesar did for them. By using this rhetorical question, Antony shows how great a ruler Caesar was and
that there is no one that is greater than he was. Antony persuasively uses rhetorical question to cause
the audience to sway their opinions to match

Escape The War Zone Essay
Escape the War Zone The War Zone (Tim Roth, 1999) narrates a story of a fifteen year old teenager
named Tom, whose life drastically changes right after his family moves from London to a small town
with no kith nor kin. Tom considers his new home a prison and develops a strong abhorrence to his
father after discovering the latter to have been raping Tom s older sister, Jessie, while Tom s mother
prefers not to pay attention to what is happening around, devoting herself to a newborn child.
Unveiling the tragedy within the ordinary English family, The War Zone highlights the conflict of
reasoning and emotion which appears as a response to the problem of incest and rape. The film s
exposition sets a depressing mood from the beginning. The opening tracking shot depicts Tom rushing
off the hill along the asphalt road, replaced by a bumpy path which leads to a jail like house,
indicating metaphorical running towards tribulation. Steadily dull weather without any glimpse of
sunlight insinuates the apathetic sentiment within the family. Remarkably, Tom s house family has
settled on the seashore, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

he had seen, and threw the camera into the sea, denying the true atrocity. Only after Tom discovers
that his father had gone too far with his heinous desires and ended up raping Tom s newborn sister, the
teenager found the courage to confront his father. However, Tom s hatred waded through his
reasoning, so he stabbed his father with a kitchen knife, rushing into the embrace of rage and

  • 3. Personal Statement For Drive Wild Author Statement for Drive Wild I created Drive Wild to advertise the 2016 Ford Focus Electric. I took into consideration lighting, media type, audience, color, imagery, composition, and text in an attempt to promote potential consumers to buy the vehicle. I also kept in mind the common theme of the environment that most electric vehicle advertisements use to persuade the consumers while creating my advertisement. I created Drive Wild with the use of Photoshop. I knew the program would help me achieve my desired look because of the variety of functions it offers over Microsoft Word. I used Photoshop s capabilities of photo manipulation to integrate multiple images to create my own single image in an attempt to persuade viewers to invest in a Ford Focus Electric. Making the single images seem like they belonged together within the composition proved to be challenging. However, it was necessary in order to get the look I desired. One of the toughest part about getting the look I desired, besides making it look like one image, was the lighting. I knew without proper lighting to integrate the single images into a unified whole the advertisement would look fake and cheap. I wanted to avoid the advertisement looking like this because of the low quality advertisements suggest a low quality product. Cheap looking advertisements reduce the Ethos, which I wanted to avoid. Advertisements are based on the visual aspects and without visual interest the ad is less persuasive to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The European Private Equity And Venture Capital Association The European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) released its report on the investment, divestment and fundraising activity in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region last year at the end of last week. The report shows that 2014 was a robust year for the region, while some differences in private equity and venture capital investment remained in the region. Investment in the Region The Central and Eastern Europe Statistics 2014 report found that capital investment by funds increased in the region by 66%. Total investment from funds in the region stood at €1.3 billion in 2014. This is a good achievement, especially in the light of the whole of Europe, which only managed to grow investment by 14%. Furthermore, CEE was able to increase its share of investment. While the region received 2.2% of the total European private equity investment in 2013, last year the region attracted 3.2% of total investment. This was mainly influenced by two very large CEE buyout transactions. Together these two deals accounted for nearly 40%, or €520 million, of the total investment value in the region. The specific regions that attracted the most private equity investments were Serbia and the Czech Republic. • 6. Educational Experience For Learners Of All Ages The arts are essential to providing a healthy educational experience for learners of all ages. Though treated by many as frivolous subjects, they provide vital tools for communication, engagement and successful instruction. It makes sense to incorporate the arts across the curriculum not only will schools improve, but students will develop important social and emotional skills, we will save money in the long run by keeping our students learning and engaged in work, and we will make the world a more beautiful place. To quote Charles Fowler (1994), The arts are not pretty bulletin boards. They are not turkeys and bunny rabbits. They are not frivolous entertainment. The arts are our humanity. They are the languages of civilization through which we express our fears, our anxieties, our hungers, our struggles, our hopes. They are systems of meaning that have real utility. This is why schools that provide students with the means and the encouragement to explore these realms provide a better education. (p.9). It is time for us to acknowledge as a society that schools are not just a building in which we instruct students on math, science and reading (though the arts would still be a vital tool even if that were the case). They are where students develop the skills essential to being human. Simply put, the arts can only benefit our schools, and should we choose to make them a priority, we will see definitive success. Blue crabs play a large economic role in Maryland as they bring in money for the state, whether it be from people going crabbing or eating crabs. With all the benefits of blue crabs in Maryland, the government has taken a stand to ensure a large blue crab population in the future. The blue crab population in the Chesapeake Bay was considered to be a surplus from the 1950s to around the 2000s as well as in the Bay s tributaries (Stagg Whilden, 1997). Euthyphro used his understanding of pious and impious as an excuse to indict his father on murder charges. Socrates was interested in Euthyphro s unshakable religious convictions but by using the Socratic method the reader slowly learns that Euthyphro has not truly delved into himself and examined his strong held beliefs. • 12. French New Wave Film Techniques Breathless is a 1960 French New Wave film, written and directed by Jean Luc Godard, about a wandering criminal and his girlfriend. The film premiered in France, attracting two million viewers and winning both the Prix Jean Vigo and the Berlin International Film Festival Award for Best Director in 1960. Godard s interesting use of numerous jump cuts in the story as well as documentary style cinematography is what makes Breathless so iconic and recognized as one of the earliest and most influential examples of the French New Wave genre. One of the main components of the film is its use of jump cuts. The French New Wave genre strived to go against the aspects of Hollywood professionalism of other films, and Godard does so in many of his works. In Breathless, as the camera focuses on the main character, he looks right back and speaks to the audience. This technique allows the story to progress through as the main character narrates. Apart from jump cutting, Godard uses documentary style cinematography to differ from the sporadic effects of his editing. The film s cinematography is captured in a hand held like manner, creating a sense of realism. • 18. Social Discrepancies Of Titanic, By James Cameron Social Discrepancies of Titanic Proportions James Cameron s renowned film Titanic is more than just a love story, and more than a mere portrayal of the tragic sinking of the unsinkable ship; it is a representation of the socioeconomic disparities between the haves and the have nots during the early 1900s. As explained by Levinson (2012), Edwardian era society was based on a social hierarchy dictated by wealth and social class; specifically, the Titanic s passengers were divided into three classes, determined not only by the price of their ticket, but by their wealth and social position (150). This socioeconomic class division is evident through the film s plot in which Jack Dawson, a jobless, lower class American who wins his way onto the RMS Titanic, shares an inter socioeconomic class relationship with upper class Rose DeWitt Bukater. This storyline allows for overlaps between the first and third class, and ultimately depicts the ideology of Outsiders versus Insiders (LCR). Outlined in the Left Center Right Model for identifying ideologies, Outsiders versus Insiders is an ideology where a left wing view identifies with the poor and disenfranchised, also know as the Outsiders, and the right winged view identifies with the Establishment and people in power, or the Insiders (LCR). Even though many people believe that animals should not be kept in captivity because humans are incapable of fully understanding and providing specific needs for wild animals, certain animals can be kept happy and healthy in captivity, and these animals are an important educational tool for teaching people of all ages about biology, biodiversity, and the ecosystems of the world.
