ShortTermGoalKPI
Land a career as a social media manager with the Toronto Maple Leafs. In this
career choice, I will be responsible for all of the official social media accounts
belonging to the organization. I will specialize in TikTok content creation and trend
analytics.
Long Term Goal
Complete an internship with a HSK/ VGK or a major sports organization immediately
after graduation to gain hands-on experience in executing marketing strategies for
sports events and enhance practical skills in the field.
Short Term Goal
I will track the number of internships I apply for vs interviews offered vs
internships I successfully obtain. This will allow me to analyze where I need
improvement.
I will obtain a social media marketing
internship with a HSK or VGK in Las
Vegas, NV. This goal is important as
a first step to my career

Marketing Director
A marketing director is responsible for planning and overseeing marketing strategies to promote products or services. Their
role is to conduct market research, identify target audiences, develop marketing campaigns, manage budgets, and collaborate
with other teams to ensure a companies success. Marketing directors also develop pricing strategies based on a balance
between firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
Social Media Coordinator
Social media coordinators play a vital role in brand visibility. The main duty of a social media coordinator is content creation.
However, once that content is created and is live, it is now their job to track engagement and other analytics. Typically, a
social media coordinator will use various programs to track community engagement and utilize other software tools, such as
posting schedules. Another important role of the social media coordinator is to monitor competitors’ social media to find
differentials between them.
Public Relations Manager
In short, a public relations manager’s main job is to strengthen the positive relationship and view that the community has on a
specific entity. This can be done through content creation, such as public speeches, press releases, and other forms of
communication. A crucial part of a PR manager’s job is also damage/ crisis control. This is when an event negatively impacts
a specific entity. It is then the PR manager’s job to reshape the harmful narrative, into a less damaging situation.
