Volunteering provides many personal and social benefits. It allows one to develop new skills, expand networks, and make a positive impact on their community. The document discusses volunteering opportunities with two organizations - Mumbai Mobile Crèches, which provides education and support to children of construction workers in Mumbai, and SG Cares in Singapore, which promotes volunteerism through flexible projects and an online portal. Personal experiences volunteering with each group are shared. Volunteering is praised as a way for individuals to contribute good wherever they are able.

The reduction of energy waste in any of its forms and everywhere is a major challenge of our society. An important proportion of such waste is due to the misuse of
consumer appliances of shared use in public areas computers, printers, coffee makers, etc.). To face this issue, we have transformed everyday consumer devices into collaborative Ecoaware everyday things. The presented work contributes with a first approach to reduce the learning time of Eco-aware objects to perform accurate predictions. The general idea is to enable a platform where Eco-aware appliances interchange their collected usage pattern in a cooperative manner to reduce energy wasting in order to alleviate the cold-start problem for new coming Eco-aware appliances. To this end, we have simulated a collaboration between two of these appliances, leading to an energy reduction regarding non-collaborative objects.

2. Foca marrone: vive in colonia
15. Gabbiano: impronte sue, e mie :)

Design for Maximization is a basic guide to designing corporate profile. The guide aims to pin point key points that is important from the readers perspective. The guide aims to support the designers and developers in developing attractive and promising corporate profile.
ECOnomic Housing provides affordable, sustainable housing that is economically and environmentally friendly. It uses an industrialized construction system to build modular, adaptable homes with healthy materials. This innovative approach aims to offer quality housing to all while reducing costs, emissions, and waste compared to traditional construction methods.
This document summarizes a webcast about responding to shifts in the buying model. It discusses how a more educated buyer has lengthened sales cycles and increased pressure on sales and marketing. It also discusses enabling sales teams to educate buyers through understanding individuals, buying teams, and territories. Additionally, it covers how to arm advocates by providing sharable, deep, high-quality content that addresses what content buyers are seeking. The goal is to educate each buyer segment around a unique value proposition and maintain ongoing communication.
This document describes a company called ECOnomic Housing that provides economic and ecologic housing solutions for Angola. It discusses their services including procurement, engineering, construction management. It then outlines their smart building concept using a modular steel frame that requires no cement or welding. Several designs for houses in Angola are presented, including a 110m2 two-story design and designs for navy housing that are adaptable and relocatable. Their services for housing projects and expertise in area development such as urban planning, energy, and infrastructure are also summarized.
Backpropagation is a common supervised learning technique for training artificial neural networks by calculating the gradient of the error in the network with respect to its weights, allowing the weights to be adjusted to minimize error through methods like stochastic gradient descent. It involves performing forward and backward passes through the network, using the error signal to calculate weight updates that reduce error for each connection based on its contribution to the output error. While powerful, backpropagation has limitations such as slow convergence and susceptibility to getting stuck in local minima.

This paper provides an overview of how Internet-connected objects can lead to a social change towards energy-efficiency in areas where people inhabit (cities, buildings or homes). For this aim it is proposed the use of social networks, like Twitter, as an interaction and communication channel between smart objects and human beings. The presented work demonstrates, by means of an experiment, how an augmented everyday object, i.e. a capsule-based coffee machine, may help to reduce the unnecessary consumed energy in electric appliances. The paper opens the discussion of the promising potential of combining people and future smart everyday objects teaming up to promote a more sustainable behaviour on the planet’s behalf.
The document provides an introduction to pointers for programmers with basic experience. It covers topics such as pointers, dereferencing pointers, the NULL pointer, pointer assignment, shallow vs deep copying, reference parameters, and memory allocation and leaks. Sample C code and memory drawings are provided to demonstrate pointer concepts.
