Speech Language Pathology
In a document entitled Scope of Practice in Speech Language Pathology , the professionals at the
American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) thoroughly explain the profession of speech
language pathology and the extent of practice within speech language pathology. The article includes
the following information: purpose statement of the article, definition of speech language pathologists
and speech language pathology, objectives of speech language pathology, and the practice and
delivery domains. Information from each section is summarized below.
The overall purpose of the article is to precisely explain what the true role of a speech language
pathologist is. Some individuals may not be knowledgeable on the professional roles and
responsibilities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first domain of professional delivery is advocacy and outreach; advocacy is used to promote and
facilitate the access to communication. Advocacy is carried out in various ways such as community
awareness, prevention activities, health literacy, and academic literacy. Supervision is the second
domain of professional delivery which can be described as a role where the SLP supervises clinical
fellows, graduate externs, and other personnel. The third domain of professional delivery is education.
SLP s are viewed as educators; they teach students at schools and also teach other professionals.
Research is the fourth domain of professional delivery. ASHA says that SLP s conduct and participate
in basic and applied/translational research that s related to cognition, verbal and nonverbal
communication, pragmatics, literacy and feeding and swallowing (ASHA,2016). The last domain
included in the professional delivery is administration and leadership which talks about the different
places that SLP s may have to administer programs in education. An SLP may be required to make
administrative decisions that are related to fiscal and personnel management, leadership, program
design, professional development,

Dazai Osamu By Kafka
As he drops on the ground, he asks himself if the others were able to get away. He s assuming Touka
and the group are safe (which he can t really be sure of, even though he s sorta correct). He lies on the
ground reminiscing a bit of what happened in V14. He says how he s done here... But wait!
Hide comes in (his mind) to stop him from his tracks. He mentions how suicide by drowning is
famous. As said in the translator notes, it has something to do with one of Kafka s short stories but
actually there s another source that could be referenced. That is the famous Japanese literature author
Dazai Osamu, when he died by drowning himself.
Hide comes in with his lecturing. Telling Kaneki about these things he said and how much this
displays the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It ends with Hide telling Kaneki to live. It might not be stylish but live. Such a game changing line.
And at the bottom there we read A world is destroyed. Which is referring to Demian Hesse s work. It
means that someone has finally been reborn. It was also mentioned back in part 1 when Kaneki fought
Nishiki for the first time. It s also the one behind why the this chapter s title is K s Egg. The K most
likely refers to our main protagonist, Kaneki Ken.
While we re at it, there s actually an extensive meaning to it. The full quote reads The bird fights its
way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies
to God. That God s name was Abraxas.
Abraxas is designated as the power above all. Pretty much praised as the first ruler. It s also said that
he is both an Egyptian and a demon. I guess that pretty much says a lot already. Also, Abraxas looks a
bit like Kaneki s recent kakuja. A bird like figure.
Almost forgot to mention his hair. It s finally white again! Don t think it really suddenly turned white
since that s impossible to happen in such a short period of time. It s most likely symbolic. Speaking of
symbolism, a bit of a recap on why Ishida is using white again. It symbolizes a new and successful
beginning. Along with goodness and purity. Very cool stuff there,

Secondary Data
Tips for Collecting, Reviewing, and Analyzing Secondary Data
WHAT IS SECONDARY DATA REVIEW AND ANALYSIS?
Secondary data analysis can be literally defined as second hand analysis. It is the analysis of data or
information that was either gathered by someone else (e.g., researchers, institutions, other NGOs, etc.)
or for some other purpose than the one currently being considered, or often a combination of the two
(Cnossen 1997).
If secondary research and data analysis is undertaken with care and diligence, it can provide a cost
effective way of gaining a broader understanding of specific phenomena and/or conducting
preliminary needs assessments.
Secondary data are also helpful in designing subsequent primary research and, as ... Show more

Analysis of data gives you the information that you need to make judgements, recommend areas of
intervention, and/or design follow up studies. Cross analyzing data will also help you understand not
only what is happing in a particular area but also why it is happening (which will be discussed in
greater detail on page 6 of this document).
SOURCES OF SECONDARY DATA
Official Statistics: Official statistics are statistics collected by governments and their various agencies,
bureaus, and departments. These statistics can be useful to researchers because they are an easily
obtainable and comprehensive source of information that usually covers long periods of time.
However, because official statistics are often characterized by unreliability, data gaps, over
aggregation, inaccuracies, mutual inconsistencies, and lack of timely reporting (Gill 1993), it is
important to critically analyze official statistics for accuracy and validity. There are several reasons
why these problems exist:
1. The scale of official surveys generally requires large numbers of enumerators (interviewers) and, in
order to reach those numbers enumerators contracted are often under skilled;
2. The size of the survey area and research team usually prohibits adequate supervision of enumerators
and the research process; and
3. Resource limitations (human and technical) often

Al Qaeda Of The Arabian Peninsula
Running Head: Napier Final Paper
Final Paper: Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula Adam Napier COMM 3597.02: Media and Terrorism
MWF 1:50 2:45 Emily Davidson Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is a branch of the
Islamic organization known as al Qaeda. The AQAP is based in Yemen and was formed in 2009 after
an announcement that Yemeni and Saudi terrorists were unifying under a common banner (National
Counterterrorism Center [NCTC], 2014). The AQAP is now considered the most active and dangerous
branch of al Qaeda (Masters, 2014).
Yemen has a history of Jihadist activity dating back to the late 1990s when veterans of the Soviet
Afghanistan war returned home. When the Soviet Union fell, the jihadist believed that ... Show more

As stated by al Qaeda, the enemies of Islam include Heretics, Shiites, America, and Israel (Wright,
2006). Al Qaeda s and AQAP s religious and mystic beliefs aid the group because whenever we
respond with violence of any kind, we assist the terrorists in mobilizing the recruits (Stern, 2003, p.
289).
AQAP aligns with the DNA of symbolic terrorism because the group is the closest version to Osama
bin Laden s al Qaeda, which is built around a sense of Denial of their identity and by a perceived
threat to the Islamic world, Negation of the West and its ideas, and Affirmation through an identity
that provides a model of heroic action (Rowland Theye, 2008).
The AQAP is responsible for a number of high profile attacks which include attacks against US assets
in the Arabian Peninsula. The first attack that AQAP claimed was the bombing of USS Cole in 2000
which killed 17 US sailors. The group was also linked to the attack in September of 2008 against the
US embassy in Sana a in which militants fired rockets and detonated bombs that killed 10 Yemeni
guards and 4 civilians ( Profile, 2012). In 2009, AQAP launched its first attack outside of Yemen. The
target was Prince Mohammed bin Nayef of Saudi Arabia, however, the attack failed (Profile, 2012).
AQAP has also claimed involvement in the 2009 Christmas Day bombing attempt where Umar Farouk

Secret Weapons Of World War Two
Secret Weapons of World War Two In a war of mass destruction and huge weaponry, development of
the next big offensive device was on the minds of all the leaders involved. Many of these weapons
were designed in secret laboratories under the top scientists and physicists in the world. High
emphasis and funding put into these designs, the developments flourished. Some of these weapons
were unbelievable successes, making their way to the battlefield meeting all the expectations set by
their imaginative creators. Others, however, did not make it any further than the testing unit.
Numerous previously unheard of ideas were presented, several being far ahead of their time. This was
cause for some of the weapons failures. Although, these were ... Show more content on

During its final testing, however, the Panjandrum nearly killed a filmer of the event, roaring towards
him and shooting rockets in every direction. Due to safety reasons, the project was discontinued after
that final test. Barnes Wallis, also British, designed what was called an Earthquake Bomb. This was a
bomb that fell from high above the earth, penetrated the ground, exploded, and caused an earthquake.
It was used towards the end of the war, on massively reinforced installations, underground caverns,
buried tunnels, and bridges. Some of Wallis bombs based on the Earthquake Bomb were used to
disable the German V2 factory, bury V3 guns, sink Tirpitz, the battleship, and other previously
undamageable targets. Another British bomb designed by Barnes Wallis was the Bouncing Bomb. The
concept was a bomb that bounced across water to avoid torpedo nets. It was designed to allow speed
and time of detonation to be pre determined. In May of 1943, a Bouncing Bomb was used to explode
German dams underwater, having a similar effect to Wallis other design, the earthquake bomb. Also in
the family of bombs developed by Great Britain, was the E61 Anthrax Bomb. This was a biological
bomblet, sub munition for the E133 cluster bomb. Within in was thirty five milliliters of anthrax

The Milky Way
Introduction
Our galaxy, The Milky Way, is composed of billion of stars of all ages, sizes and masses. A common
stars, like our Sun, constantly gives out small amounts of X ray radiation, and larger burst of X rays
during a solar flare. Along with our Sun, stars shine as a result of nuclear reaction that happens deep
within their core. Causing chemical reactions that converts light elements into heavier ones and while
releasing energy in the process. Energy from the central region provides pressure to keep the star from
falling apart under its own weight. The contracting cloud is then called a protostar. A protostar is the
earliest stage of a star s life. A star is born when the gas and dust from a nebula become so hot that
nuclear fusion starts. Once a star has turned on it is known as a main sequence star. When a main
sequence star begins to run out of hydrogen fuel, the star becomes a red giant or a red supergiant.
The Birth of Star (Nebulas)
All stars start as a nebula. Nebulas are large clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases.
Gravity then might pull the gas and dust in a nebula together. In example of this is the Orion Nebula,
which was located in excellent detail by NASA s Hubble Space Telescope and Spitzer Space
Telescope. A protostar is formed from the contracting clouds deep within these clouds that gives rise
to knots with sufficient mass that the gas and dust can begin to collapse under its own gravitational
attraction (NASA, para.4). As

expected to make and keep all these appointments. At other times you have those emergency visits to

The Line Between Knowledge And Power In Indian Horse And...
The Line between Knowledge and Power is Drawn in the Sands of Responsibility.
Knowledge is something that is gathered over time, changed and revolutionized based on the needs of
society and dictated by the actions that humanity takes that. As a human being, not only does one
person have the ability to pass down the knowledge and skills that are learnt from fathers and their
fathers forefathers, but have the responsibility to continue traditions and knowledge learnt in the past
that is relevant today. This idea of passing down knowledge, or at least protecting knowledge can be
found in each of the course texts this year, but more predominantly in Indian Horse, and as well in
Fahrenheit 451. Over the human existence on Earth, several philosophers have related Knowledge and
Power to be directly linked together, It has also been said that with great power comes great
responsibility. According to these fundamental teaches and rules that have been created over time, it is
clear to see that having knowledge means having a responsibility to not only pass knowledge down to
the next generation, but to protect knowledge and traditions from those who may with stop knowledge
from advancing.
In the novel, Indian Horse, traditions and knowledge of one s father and the fathers before them is lost
by the actions of the Canadian Government and the White Man , or more commonly known as the
European. This was accomplished with the development of residential schools and institutional

Margaret Sanger And Eleanor Roosevelt
I. Introduction. There are many remarkable personalities in our history, which made revolutionary
changes in women s lives. Two of them were Margaret Sanger and Eleanor Roosevelt. They
contributed immensely to change the women s fates and lives and to position them equally with men.
Margaret Sanger was born in 1879, in Corning, New York; she was sixth of eleven children of Michel
Higgins, an Irish Catholic stonecutter, and religious Anne Purcell Higgins. Her mother went through
eighteen pregnancies and died at the age of forty eight. She studied nursing in White Plains and
worked as nurse in one of the poorest neighborhood of New York. In 1902 Margaret Sanger married
architect and radical William Sanger. She didn t finish her studying. Margaret gave birth to three
children. In 1912 Sanger s family moved to Manhattan. All her life Margaret Sanger was a
courageous, dedicated and persistent American birth control activist, advocate of eugenics, and the
founder of the American Birth Control League. She was first woman opening the way to universal
access to birth control.
Eleanor Roosevelt was born on October 11, 1884, in New York in a wealthy and socially prominent
family. Eleanor s parents died when she was very young. She was shy and unhappy child. Eleanor
went to school in England. She married Franklin D. Roosevelt and became his helpmate in his
political career, but also she developed her own political career. The daughter of wealthy parents and

Computer Crime Essay
Running head: COMPUTER CRIME
Categories of Computer Crime
S.R Skolnick
Strayer University
In today s society computers are used to commit crimes. These crimes are separated into four
categories. These categories are as follows, the computer as a target, the computer as an instrument of
crime, the computer as incidental to a crime, and crimes associated with the prevalence of computers.
In example of the computer as a target, is a case of Kevin Mitnick. Kevin Mitnick was once known as
the world s most wanted social engineering computer hacker. From the 1970s up to his arrest in 1995,
Mitnick was able to elude them bypass corporate security safeguards. Mitnick was able to get into
some of the well guarded systems in the corporate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These crimes will include but not limited to money laundering, criminal enterprise, child pornography,
and will ring victims into compromising situations.
In this category crimes associated with the prevalence of computers, the crimes include intellectual
property violations, component that, counterfeiting, identity theft, and a number of corporate offenses.
In this category intellectual property violations are described as piracy. Piracy includes the illegal
downloading of music and movies. I believe the category of the computer as a target presents the
greatest overall threat at this present time. The reasons for this is, computers as a target for instance
computer hacking. Computer hacking enables people with this ability to access our nation s defense
system. With this being said, this becomes a national security issue. Secondly, computer as a target
enables people what this ability, to commit identity theft. As we know identity theft is on the rise.
Identity theft causes millions and millions of dollars to be stolen or used by cyber criminals. These
crimes make it very difficult for the victims to get everything back to normal before their identities
were stolen. In this day and age, computers and the Internet have made criminals into better criminals,
while law enforcement, US government, and the court systems are back in the game playing catch up.
Law enforcement does not have

Three Sociological Perspectives
Throughout history various social perspectives have been observed in an attempt to explain and
classify different types of sociological behavior. Various theories have been made regarding the
sociological perspective, which examines the social contexts that people live in and how these
contexts effect the individual and society (Henslin 2). Each sociological perspective examines
something different and poses a different theory. Discussed here are three sociological perspectives:
the functionalist perspective, the conflict perspective and the feminist perspective. All three
perspectives are forms of social institutions or the ways that a society meets its basic needs (Henslin
104). However all three perspectives give us quite different views ... Show more content on

Published in a women s Studies Journal in December of 2015, Tracy Bowell explains this issue by
bringing to light the lack of women in almost every aspect of philosophy describing, .. three
connected, but different problems: the absence of women from the discipline of philosophy [such as]
teachers, researchers, the absence of women from the discipline [such as] its discourses, the texts,
debates, problems and the problem of the marginalization of feminist philosophical work. She goes on
to state, the nature of feminist philosophy has been seen as a potential threat to philosophical core
values. (Bowell 18). This is a perfect example of both anti feminism and the conflict perspective.
According to this article, women are still being treated unequally and one has to just take a look at the
entire field of philosophy both in its literature and teaching in the classroom to see how. Bowell states
females are being held in check by the opposite sex as a seeming attempt to keep the balance of power
tilted to the male side. This is also seen as an act of preserving the social order by the continued
absence of women from philosophical texts, and imbalance of women philosophy teachers, and as
women in philosophy being seen as a threat to philosophical core values this is a great example of
how the powerful or privileged positions (in this case, the male gender in

Theme Of A Utopian Society
Part One One of the major themes Mitchell plays with in his novel is the concept of a utopian society,
and what it is comprised of. In each story, there is a setup for a perfect society, but humanity, or
humanity s spirit got in the way. Each story represents how the interpretation of things can shape a
society, depending on how literal they take the events. In the story Sloosha s Crossin an Everythin
After , the tales are in place to develop the role of each character. Zachry fights his inner demons, just
as Truman Napes does with Old Georgie. Zachry chooses to protect and befriend Meronym, even
though it goes against his initial judgement. Meronym fights for the overall good of the people just as
the crow does in Prescient yarnie . She goes out and lives with the villagers to gather information, and
saves Zachry s sister. She is making diplomatic decisions to take on the risk of changing the course of
things by helping her. The function of Zachry and Meronym are to be foils of each other, even the
story is told from the biased perspective of Zachry. Meronym is focused on long term goals, and the
redevelopment of society, while Zachry is very much focused on the present time, and the folklore that
affects his day to day life.
On a small scale, their stories are not important, which is how Mitchell intended it to be. In the novel
as whole, their place is more significant. Each tale foreshadows what could become prevalent in the
future. Zachry s story is the last in

Play Summary Of The Play Los Vendidos By Luis Valdez
Los Vendidos was written by Luis Valdez in 1967, the play tells us issues that Mexican Americans
faced throughout history. Los Vendidos translates to The Sold Ones, which interpreters Valdez s
opinion on Mexican s conformity to the American culture. The play defines four different versions of
Mexican men. The farmworker, Johnny Pachuco, The Revolucionario, and the Mexican American.
Luis Valdez addresses through humor the stereotypes and historical struggles that Mexican Americans
faced in 1967. Although the play was written almost half a century ago I believe it s still relevant
today.
We make assumptions about people, we label and categorize the world, putting people into little

exults that the Farmworker can go with little food, sleep out in the field and returns to Mexico after

Mexican model is Johnny Pachuco the urban model. He represents the Lazy Thug. Pachuco steals

Incident Management Case Study
Since the early 1800 s the Federal government has been involved with assisting local disasters by
supplying financial assistance to those communities that had been destroyed by fire. A fire rippled
through a New Hampshire town in 1803, and that was the first instance of Federal government
assistance after a local disaster. Throughout the years, legislation has continued to provide funding to
areas that have been devastated by fire.
In 1934, the Flood Control Act was birthed into legislation. The Flood Control Act allowed the U. S.
Army Corps of Engineers to develop control of the design, as well as construct build flood control
projects. In March 2004, the Department of Homeland Security permitted the National Incident

It has caused delayed response time to fires. There have been individuals injured as well as lives being
lost. The quality of life will be lessened and the risk of life will be much greater. If a fire department is
closed, that would mean that extra pressure would be placed on the remaining opened fire
departments. Overload would be intact and the stress level of the firefighters will increase. Because of
budget cuts and the closing of some fire stations, and the laying off of firefighters and civilians, the 9

remaining fire departments and its firefighters. Early intervention can possibly sot the escalation or it
could certainly de escalate a fire. With that in mind, it will in turn commence to saving lives and
property. Travel time plays a critical role in responding to a fire. If a fire station is two miles from a

The Death With Dignity Act
Death with Dignity Act Yellowing of the skin, hollowed in eyes, hair loss, and habitual wheezing or
shortness of breath is only an insubstantial glimpse of the rancid face of leukemia. It is estimated that
around 1 million people in the United States are living with a terminal illness (Pan 2). Some people
may feel hopeless, like their life is now meaningless due to their circumstance, and the hand they have
been dealt. When something of this magnitude occurs in ones life, doctor assisted suicide should never
be an option, or even a thought on their mind. Human euthanasia is ethically, and morally wrong. It
violates the principles of medical ethics that doctors take, it costs less to keep a person alive, rather
than die, and if this medication falls into the wrong hands, a murder could come about from it.
In the 19th century, there was an uprising in anesthesia use (Emanuel 1). In 1846, Dr. John Warren,
Professor of Surgery, Harvard Medical School, author of Etherization; with surgical remarks, led the
first operation using ether anesthesia. He noted that ether might be used in mitigating the agonies of
death (Robinson 1). Doctors as well as physicians became more competent in the use of morphine
injections for pain relief during the times of the Civil War, and this practice shortly became known on

Trends in Workplace Learning: Supply and Demand in Interesting Times
By Laurie Bassi, Scott Cheney, and Eleesha Lewis
The ancient Chinese saying May you live in interesting times has perhaps never been more relevant.
As the 1990s draw to a close and the new millennium fast approaches, life is phenomenally interesting
and demanding. Professionals who are responsible for workplace learning and performance
improvement are squarely in the center of the swirl of exciting possibilities and requirements that are
emerging.

In many ways, this is nothing new at all. A firm s knowledge the brains of its employees, their know
how, the processes and customer knowledge that they create has always been a source of competitive
advantage. And by extension, so too has been knowledge management the processes by which a firm
creates and leverages knowledge. Whatis unique about the knowledge era is that knowledge is
becoming the primary source of competitive advantage within a growing number of industries.
Organizations from industrial era industries, such as automobile manufacturing, to information age
industries such as consulting are recognizing that they each have a unique storehouse of knowledge,
and that the future belongs to those that can grow their knowledge fastest and then apply and use it
best.
With the benefit of hindsight, it is apparent that in the knowledge era, creating and leveraging
knowledge is the business of business. By all available measures, the stock market is already
providing handsome rewards to companies that successfully leverage their knowledge a phenomenon
that will almost surely grow in significance as knowledge based organizations increase in size and
number. A number of firms are anticipating this and looking to knowledge management to enhance,
measure, and manage the knowledge of their employees and organizations more effectively.

Swot Analysis Of HUL
1. Soaps and Detergents This segment main driving factor for the revenues of HUL as it contributes
approximately 49 percent of the total revenues. HUL s brands like Lifebuoy, Lux, Liril, Rexona,
Wheel, Surf Excel, Surf, Vim etc. in soaps and detergent have helped the company to dominate the
market and gain a significant position. The major growth drivers in this segment are sales volume and
price of the products. With the collaborative initiatives like Swachh aadat, we expect a rise in
consumption of soaps and detergents segment in rural as well as urban sector. Therefore, we expect
the soaps and detergent market to grow at 18 percent as penetration in rural market is a slow
phenomenon and based on the Historical CAGR of ~ 12 percent we are expecting it to be in line with
it. We have also assumed that this will dominate approximately 40 percent of the total market share. ...

Diamond Foods, Inc.
Executive summary
Diamond Foods, Inc. was founded in 1912 and was publicly traded in 2005 as a distributor of potato
chips, snack nuts, popcorn, shell nuts, and culinary nuts. Its brands include: Kettle Brand Chips,
Emerald snack nuts, Pop Secret popcorn, and Diamond of California nuts (Gujarathi, 2015, p. 47). The
company motto was always bigger is better, which was implemented by former CEO Michael Mendes
(Mendes) to meet high performance expectations and keep up with the competition in the snack

The Importance Of Baning The Banning Of The Burqa Ban
In 2010 the French Parliament passed a law that banned the wearing of the burqas in public. The
banning of the burqa was supported by French president Nicolas Sarkozy he argued that the burqa ban
was not a religious issue it was a question of women s freedom and dignity. There is a lot of people
who disagree with the law and say they should be able to dress how they want without being arrested
or getting a fine. The fine for wearing a burqa in public is $150 euro that is 217 US dollars. Anyone
found forcing a women to cover her face or to wear a burqa is faced with a 30,000 euro fine that is
35,529 US dollars. Data showed that from 2015 1,546 fines have been imposed. In the video Was
France right to ban the burqa? a couple was interviewed by a reporter and the husband states it is the
wife s choice to wear the burqa, if she doesn t wear it or does wear it he would support her. A guy that
worked for the President during the time of the ban agreed with President Sarkozy and stated he is the
victim because they are not allowing him to see the women s face if they have the burqa on. A young
Priest was interviewed and he gave his thoughts on the burqa ban. The young Priest is all for the burqa

Henry V Trojan War Essay
The Treaty of Troyes was signed in Troyes on the 21st of May, 1420. The treaty between Henry V and
Charles VI discussed the agreement that Henry and his heirs would inherit the throne of France upon
the death of Charles VI (of France). The treaty was passed through and approved by a judicial body. It
should be noted that although it was the French parliament that approved the document, they did not
carve up the kingdom (at the very least not on paper). The Treaty of Troyes is often considered one of
the most important treaties of the Hundred Years War. It acts as a sort of backdrop to the end portion
of the war. France and England, around the point of the signing of the treaty, were in the middle of

He fought and won many military battles, and he gained the French throne for his son s inheritance.
An important point is made by Richardson that had the Treaty of Troyes worked, the United Kingdom
would have been England and France, rather than England and Scotland . Henry was a great ruler, but
he left behind the government in a great debt, most likely due to the expenses of war. It is notable that
not even the revenue from the conquered territories could pay off this debt, because of the constancy
of battle, raids and such. The Treaty of Troyes was one of France s biggest mistakes. In War,
government and power in late Medieval France it is mentioned that, the notion of state is dependant on
binary opposition Binary opposition is related terms or concepts that are opposite in meaning .
Furthermore, Binary opposition is the system in which languages and thoughts as opposite are set
against one another . This could easily be said of English and French. The two countries were
complete opposites in most aspects of life (culture, language, law, etc.), but put them together and they
form a state. Specifically, a state that had it s ups and down, but was revolutionary . The treaty of
Troyes was never formally revoked . The English Remained Kings of France until the Treaty of
Amiens with Napoleon when it was finally abandoned. It certainly left a mark on

The Fine Art Of Complaining Analysis

Science Astronomy Nebula Essay

Nebulas
What are nebulas? How did they come about? Nebulas are made up of dust, hydrogen helium and
plasma. Nebulas, essentially gaseous clouds, are formed. A supernova is a star that collapses under its
own gravity after it dramatically increases in its brightness. The first nebula, Dumbbell Nebula M27,
was discovered by Charles Messier on July 12 1764. In 1784 William Herschel invented the name
Planetary nebula after he had started comprehensively scanning the deep sky and discovered a famous
planetary nebula, the Saturn Nebula NGC 7009 in 1782. The nebula theory, states that this theory is
the most accepted evolutionary theory for the formation of the solar system from a cloud of gas and
dust particles known as a nebula. The process starts with a rotating cloud of gas and dust that contracts
and flattens to form a disk around a star forming at its centre. Planets grow from the dust and gas in
the disk and are left behind when the disk clears. The process of a nebula forming is linked to the

Many people question how the solar system was made and a theory was developed by Emanuel
Swedenborg, Immanuel Kant, and Pierre Simon Laplace. This theory provides more evidence for
society to believe. The solar system is thought to be created from enormous spinning cloud. This cloud
was made up of gas and dust. The core of a cloud grew under the influence of gravity and as a result it
became denser and hotter. Material was collected into the core and the cloud increased in speed and
became flat, almost like a disk shape. As the cloud became increasingly hotter the cloud generated
enough energy to create a nuclear fusion. The light gas was distributed far out in the solar system. This
light gas left rocky materials and metallic that had high melting points were left behind. These
materials clumped together caused by mutual gravity and formed

Child Labor Is A Growing World Problem
Child labor is a growing world problem, more and more laws are being made and enforced. And while
laws prohibit child labor, exceptions are made, like the number of hours a child can work and how old
you have to be to work. Kids as young as seven are working 16 hours in mines. Child labor is
significant all around the world but largely in Asia, Africa, and Latin America and in parts of Europe.
Children are used in mines because they have smaller bodies to climb in shafts and small crevices,
their small nimble hands and fingers are good for sorting minerals. Forced into mines by poverty and
debt, children will spend the rest of their lives working in hazardous environments. These hazardous
conditions are hard to control because mining often takes place in temporary, remote, small scale
locations making it difficult to regulate and monitor (Lillie). Child miners risk injury, death and face
long term health problems caused by back breaking labor, exposure to dust and chemicals and, worst
of all, poisoning. Working in these mine deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their
ability to attend regular school, and hurts them mentally, physically, and socially. Poverty is the
leading reason that children are going to work at such a young age. A child s labor contribution may
be important for the household and for food, especially if few alternative opportunities exist to earning
an income. Many children of mining or farming families are obliged to work to help

What s Got You Weak in the Knees? A Look at the Dangers of Leg Weakness
You may not realize how little conscious thought walking or moving takes until you are in a position
where your lower body mobility is affected by a medical condition. Once this happens it can make the
smallest tasks seem much more difficult. Since movement is at the core of everything you do
throughout your day, difficulty in completing simple tasks can take a toll on both your physical and
mental well being. Lack of maneuverability can have serious consequences leading to feelings of
isolation, depression, and/or anxiety. Recognizing symptoms, addressing them properly, and
implementing the use of aids in your day to day life could help to minimize the effects and risks
associated with lowered mobility.
What is Leg Weakness?
Leg weakness is an absence of muscular or physical strength in your legs accompanied by the feeling
that additional effort is required to produce movement. If this deficiency is the result of pain, then
when you make those lower body muscles work it will hurt.
Often times, when you are displaying a physical weakness which makes moving more difficult to
achieve it can result in fatigue. Fatigue is a feeling of exhaustion or tiredness due to a lack of strength
and/or energy.
Weakness and fatigue are both symptoms, and not considered diseases. They can be caused by many
other health issues, and can only be properly examined when paired with other symptoms that are
present. If you

Fallen Angels In America
Fallen Angels in America Tony Kushner s play Angels in America was set in the 1980s, amid Ronald
Reagan s administration. Many people believe that this play is political, since we hear a significant
amount about Reagan. Additionally, his administration has been largely criticized for its negligence
toward the AIDS crisis. Furthermore, numerous LGBT activists have blamed Reagan for overlooking
the epidemic since it was thought to be, for the most part, a disease that primarily affected gay men
and, perhaps not surprising, African Americans. Although, Tony Kushner s Angels in America
primarily focused on the AIDS epidemic in the United States, Kushner masterfully used themes of

Sex Crimes And The Law Essay
The topic that we talked about in the class, Sex Crimes and the Law that really interested me was the
topic of rape. After having the guest speaker that was a Temple student really bothered me and I
thought about it for days. For starters, I think it is absolutely scary that she was rapped on Temple
University s campus, to be exact in Peabody hall and absolutely nothing was done to help her. This is
bothering me the most because I am a Temple student, this happened in her own room, no one helped
her, and her rapist is still out there. I feel horrible that no one even tried to help and most people even
made it seem like it was her fault by saying things such as you know you wanted it . No one wants to
be rapped and the victim should never be to blame. This poor girl tried to kill herself multiple times. I
believe that no one should go through this trauma alone or even go through it at all. Since our guest
speaker, I have gone on a binge of watching Law Order: SVU and even through about becoming a
special victim unit detective for my career. Another reason that the topic of rapped bothered me was
because just recently one of my friends came out and said that she was raped by her boyfriend. No one
even knew this happened until she made it public on Facebook. For the longest time she was drawn
back and really did not hang out with the group and now I know why. The guest speaker really helped

Speech Language Pathology In a document entitled Scope of Practice in Speech Language Pathology , the professionals at the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) thoroughly explain the profession of speech language pathology and the extent of practice within speech language pathology. The article includes the following information: purpose statement of the article, definition of speech language pathologists and speech language pathology, objectives of speech language pathology, and the practice and delivery domains. Advocacy is carried out in various ways such as community awareness, prevention activities, health literacy, and academic literacy. The third domain of professional delivery is education. SLP s are viewed as educators; they teach students at schools and also teach other professionals. Research is the fourth domain of professional delivery. ASHA says that SLP s conduct and participate in basic and applied/translational research that s related to cognition, verbal and nonverbal communication, pragmatics, literacy and feeding and swallowing (ASHA,2016). The last domain included in the professional delivery is administration and leadership which talks about the different places that SLP s may have to administer programs in education. • 3. Dazai Osamu By Kafka As he drops on the ground, he asks himself if the others were able to get away. He s assuming Touka and the group are safe (which he can t really be sure of, even though he s sorta correct). He lies on the ground reminiscing a bit of what happened in V14. He says how he s done here... But wait! Hide comes in (his mind) to stop him from his tracks. He mentions how suicide by drowning is famous. As said in the translator notes, it has something to do with one of Kafka s short stories but actually there s another source that could be referenced. That is the famous Japanese literature author Dazai Osamu, when he died by drowning himself. Hide comes in with his lecturing. Telling Kaneki about these things he said and how much this displays the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It ends with Hide telling Kaneki to live. It might not be stylish but live. Such a game changing line. And at the bottom there we read A world is destroyed. Which is referring to Demian Hesse s work. It means that someone has finally been reborn. It was also mentioned back in part 1 when Kaneki fought Nishiki for the first time. It s also the one behind why the this chapter s title is K s Egg. The K most likely refers to our main protagonist, Kaneki Ken. While we re at it, there s actually an extensive meaning to it. The full quote reads The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies to God. That God s name was Abraxas. Abraxas is designated as the power above all. Pretty much praised as the first ruler. It s also said that he is both an Egyptian and a demon. I guess that pretty much says a lot already. Also, Abraxas looks a bit like Kaneki s recent kakuja. A bird like figure. Almost forgot to mention his hair. It s finally white again! Don t think it really suddenly turned white since that s impossible to happen in such a short period of time. It s most likely symbolic. Speaking of symbolism, a bit of a recap on why Ishida is using white again. It symbolizes a new and successful beginning. Along with goodness and purity. Very cool stuff there, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Secondary Data Tips for Collecting, Reviewing, and Analyzing Secondary Data WHAT IS SECONDARY DATA REVIEW AND ANALYSIS? Secondary data analysis can be literally defined as second hand analysis. It is the analysis of data or information that was either gathered by someone else (e.g., researchers, institutions, other NGOs, etc.) or for some other purpose than the one currently being considered, or often a combination of the two (Cnossen 1997). If secondary research and data analysis is undertaken with care and diligence, it can provide a cost effective way of gaining a broader understanding of specific phenomena and/or conducting preliminary needs assessments. Secondary data are also helpful in designing subsequent primary research and, as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Analysis of data gives you the information that you need to make judgements, recommend areas of intervention, and/or design follow up studies. Cross analyzing data will also help you understand not only what is happing in a particular area but also why it is happening (which will be discussed in greater detail on page 6 of this document). SOURCES OF SECONDARY DATA Official Statistics: Official statistics are statistics collected by governments and their various agencies, bureaus, and departments. These statistics can be useful to researchers because they are an easily obtainable and comprehensive source of information that usually covers long periods of time. However, because official statistics are often characterized by unreliability, data gaps, over aggregation, inaccuracies, mutual inconsistencies, and lack of timely reporting (Gill 1993), it is important to critically analyze official statistics for accuracy and validity. There are several reasons why these problems exist: 1. The scale of official surveys generally requires large numbers of enumerators (interviewers) and, in order to reach those numbers enumerators contracted are often under skilled; 2. The size of the survey area and research team usually prohibits adequate supervision of enumerators and the research process; and 3. Resource limitations (human and technical) often ... Al Qaeda Of The Arabian Peninsula Running Head: Napier Final Paper Final Paper: Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula Adam Napier COMM 3597.02: Media and Terrorism MWF 1:50 2:45 Emily Davidson Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is a branch of the Islamic organization known as al Qaeda. The AQAP is based in Yemen and was formed in 2009 after an announcement that Yemeni and Saudi terrorists were unifying under a common banner (National Counterterrorism Center [NCTC], 2014). The AQAP is now considered the most active and dangerous branch of al Qaeda (Masters, 2014). Yemen has a history of Jihadist activity dating back to the late 1990s when veterans of the Soviet Afghanistan war returned home. When the Soviet Union fell, the jihadist believed that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As stated by al Qaeda, the enemies of Islam include Heretics, Shiites, America, and Israel (Wright, 2006). Al Qaeda s and AQAP s religious and mystic beliefs aid the group because whenever we respond with violence of any kind, we assist the terrorists in mobilizing the recruits (Stern, 2003, p. 289). AQAP aligns with the DNA of symbolic terrorism because the group is the closest version to Osama bin Laden s al Qaeda, which is built around a sense of Denial of their identity and by a perceived threat to the Islamic world, Negation of the West and its ideas, and Affirmation through an identity that provides a model of heroic action (Rowland Theye, 2008). • 7. The Milky Way Introduction Our galaxy, The Milky Way, is composed of billion of stars of all ages, sizes and masses. A common stars, like our Sun, constantly gives out small amounts of X ray radiation, and larger burst of X rays during a solar flare. Along with our Sun, stars shine as a result of nuclear reaction that happens deep within their core. Causing chemical reactions that converts light elements into heavier ones and while releasing energy in the process. Energy from the central region provides pressure to keep the star from falling apart under its own weight. The contracting cloud is then called a protostar. A protostar is the earliest stage of a star s life. A star is born when the gas and dust from a nebula become so hot that nuclear fusion starts. Once a star has turned on it is known as a main sequence star. When a main sequence star begins to run out of hydrogen fuel, the star becomes a red giant or a red supergiant. The Birth of Star (Nebulas) All stars start as a nebula. Nebulas are large clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases. Gravity then might pull the gas and dust in a nebula together. In example of this is the Orion Nebula, which was located in excellent detail by NASA s Hubble Space Telescope and Spitzer Space Telescope. A protostar is formed from the contracting clouds deep within these clouds that gives rise to knots with sufficient mass that the gas and dust can begin to collapse under its own gravitational attraction (NASA, para.4). • 29. Henry V Trojan War Essay The Treaty of Troyes was signed in Troyes on the 21st of May, 1420. The treaty between Henry V and Charles VI discussed the agreement that Henry and his heirs would inherit the throne of France upon the death of Charles VI (of France). The treaty was passed through and approved by a judicial body. It should be noted that although it was the French parliament that approved the document, they did not carve up the kingdom (at the very least not on paper). The Treaty of Troyes is often considered one of the most important treaties of the Hundred Years War. It acts as a sort of backdrop to the end portion of the war. He fought and won many military battles, and he gained the French throne for his son s inheritance. An important point is made by Richardson that had the Treaty of Troyes worked, the United Kingdom would have been England and France, rather than England and Scotland . Henry was a great ruler, but he left behind the government in a great debt, most likely due to the expenses of war. It is notable that not even the revenue from the conquered territories could pay off this debt, because of the constancy of battle, raids and such. The Treaty of Troyes was one of France s biggest mistakes. In War, government and power in late Medieval France it is mentioned that, the notion of state is dependant on binary opposition Binary opposition is related terms or concepts that are opposite in meaning . Furthermore, Binary opposition is the system in which languages and thoughts as opposite are set against one another . This could easily be said of English and French. The two countries were complete opposites in most aspects of life (culture, language, law, etc.), but put them together and they form a state. Specifically, a state that had it s ups and down, but was revolutionary . The treaty of Troyes was never formally revoked . • 34. Science Astronomy Nebula Essay Science Astronomy Nebulas What are nebulas? How did they come about? Nebulas are made up of dust, hydrogen helium and plasma. Nebulas, essentially gaseous clouds, are formed. A supernova is a star that collapses under its own gravity after it dramatically increases in its brightness. The first nebula, Dumbbell Nebula M27, was discovered by Charles Messier on July 12 1764. In 1784 William Herschel invented the name Planetary nebula after he had started comprehensively scanning the deep sky and discovered a famous planetary nebula, the Saturn Nebula NGC 7009 in 1782. The nebula theory, states that this theory is the most accepted evolutionary theory for the formation of the solar system from a cloud of gas and dust particles known as a nebula. The process starts with a rotating cloud of gas and dust that contracts and flattens to form a disk around a star forming at its centre. Planets grow from the dust and gas in the disk and are left behind when the disk clears. The process of a nebula forming is linked to the creation of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This theory provides more evidence for society to believe. The solar system is thought to be created from enormous spinning cloud. This cloud was made up of gas and dust. The core of a cloud grew under the influence of gravity and as a result it became denser and hotter. Material was collected into the core and the cloud increased in speed and became flat, almost like a disk shape. As the cloud became increasingly hotter the cloud generated enough energy to create a nuclear fusion. The light gas was distributed far out in the solar system. • 35. Child Labor Is A Growing World Problem Child labor is a growing world problem, more and more laws are being made and enforced. And while laws prohibit child labor, exceptions are made, like the number of hours a child can work and how old you have to be to work. Kids as young as seven are working 16 hours in mines. Child labor is significant all around the world but largely in Asia, Africa, and Latin America and in parts of Europe. Children are used in mines because they have smaller bodies to climb in shafts and small crevices, their small nimble hands and fingers are good for sorting minerals. Forced into mines by poverty and debt, children will spend the rest of their lives working in hazardous environments. These hazardous conditions are hard to control because mining often takes place in temporary, remote, small scale locations making it difficult to regulate and monitor (Lillie). Child miners risk injury, death and face long term health problems caused by back breaking labor, exposure to dust and chemicals and, worst of all, poisoning. Working in these mine deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and hurts them mentally, physically, and socially. Poverty is the leading reason that children are going to work at such a young age. A child s labor contribution may be important for the household and for food, especially if few alternative opportunities exist to earning an income. • 36. Research Paper On Strengths And Weaknesses What s Got You Weak in the Knees? A Look at the Dangers of Leg Weakness You may not realize how little conscious thought walking or moving takes until you are in a position where your lower body mobility is affected by a medical condition. Once this happens it can make the smallest tasks seem much more difficult. Since movement is at the core of everything you do throughout your day, difficulty in completing simple tasks can take a toll on both your physical and mental well being. Lack of maneuverability can have serious consequences leading to feelings of isolation, depression, and/or anxiety. Recognizing symptoms, addressing them properly, and implementing the use of aids in your day to day life could help to minimize the effects and risks associated with lowered mobility. What is Leg Weakness? Leg weakness is an absence of muscular or physical strength in your legs accompanied by the feeling that additional effort is required to produce movement. If this deficiency is the result of pain, then when you make those lower body muscles work it will hurt. Often times, when you are displaying a physical weakness which makes moving more difficult to achieve it can result in fatigue. Fatigue is a feeling of exhaustion or tiredness due to a lack of strength and/or energy. Weakness and fatigue are both symptoms, and not considered diseases. They can be caused by many other health issues, and can only be properly examined when paired with other symptoms that are present. If you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After having the guest speaker that was a Temple student really bothered me and I thought about it for days. For starters, I think it is absolutely scary that she was rapped on Temple University s campus, to be exact in Peabody hall and absolutely nothing was done to help her. This is bothering me the most because I am a Temple student, this happened in her own room, no one helped her, and her rapist is still out there. I feel horrible that no one even tried to help and most people even made it seem like it was her fault by saying things such as you know you wanted it .
