The document discusses modernity and modernization in Latin America. It notes that while some forms of pre-colonial communication existed, professional journalism developed as a product of modernity. Modernity originated in the West but its conditions were rooted in colonialism, as colonialism spread both Enlightenment ideals and imperial domination. When introduced to Latin America, modern technologies like press and journalism brought both Enlightenment concepts and embedded colonization. The concept of modernity remains an unfinished project in the West and was adopted in complex ways in Latin America due to the colonial history.

2. African Americans In Ralph Ellison s Invisible Man
In Invisible Man, IM, even though he is African American, has a different cultural understanding of
employment with being black in America. The cultural difference installs an idea of impressing and
respecting the superiority. This insight causes him to not fully comprehend his new life and will
not be beneficial for the future. Invisible Manhad to have a meeting with Mr. Bledsoe to speak
about the events that happened with Mr. Norton. In this meeting, he is expelled and Mr. Bledsoe
offers him an opportunity to travel to New York with letters for a request for work: These letters
will be sealed; don t open them if you want help. White folk are strict about such things (149).
Ellison uses the word if as a threatening factor to Invisible... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Bledsoe depended on the support of white men in the community. Ellison using the statement
adds to the idea that in order for any achievements such as a job to be completed, the whites have
to be respected. With living life in New York, Invisible Man has been working hard to give the
letters to his white employers. Most of the letters have been refused so he wishes for Mr. Norton
to help him: Finally I tried to reach the important men by telephone, only to receive polite
refusals by their secretaries...I thought of Mr. Norton. If only the last letter had been addressed
to him (169). Ellison uses Mr. Norton as a symbol for the blindness of African Americans with
the topic of oppression from the white community. Invisible Man, at his lows, wishes upon a
white man to save the day in order to achieve a job. His idea of employment means that the white
man has to grant the ability to work. While meeting with the person of the last letter, Mr.
Emerson, Invisible Man was able to finally read the material that Dr. Bledsoe wrote: What did I
do? I always tried to do the right thing ... I only wanted to return and help (191 192). Ellison
represents Invisible Man s blindness through repetition of questions and past tense

3. Ethnic Conflict In Rwanda
Ethnicity means belonging to a group of people that have the same cultural traditions in common.
In this case, two of the largest ethnic groups in Rwanda are the Tutsis which take about 15% of the
population, and the Hutus which take about 84% of the population. There has always been
disagreements between the Tutsis and the Hutus. Although some may think that these conflicts
come from the fact that they both share the same language and religion, this tension comes from
their ethnic differences. Ethnic tension has always been an issue between the Tutsis and the Hutus,
but it all worsened when the Belgians embraced the idea that the Tutsis were superior. Certain
changes have been made to deal with the ethnic tension, such as the Tutsi led government invading
much of the neighborhood to finish with the Hutu forces. Although, the war is over, there are still
conflicts that have led to a countless amount of deaths. Tutsis have always been known for being
superior to the Hutus. They have been noted for having greater wealth, social status, and even
because they are taller and thinner. This is because the Belgians embraced this idea of superiority.
Since then, up to the next 20 years, the Tutsis have enjoyed a better life quality in terms of jobs,
opportunities, and educational possibilities. Bitterness between the Hutus and Tutsis started to
build up around 1959. This is when the source of ethnic tension began in Rwanda. It all started to
develop when the president of Rwanda, Juvenal Habyarimana, was killed on April 6 1994 when
his plane got shot down above Kigali International Airport. The Hutu president, Cyprien
Ntaryamira, was also killed during this attack. During this period, more than 20,000 Tutsis were
killed and many others were seen forced to move to their neighbour countries such as Burundi,
Tanzania and Uganda (BBC, 2011). The Hutus took back their place around 1962. Which is when
Belgium gave up their power and handed over the Independence to Rwanda. Because of this
tragedy, the Tutsis have been blamed for all the crisis that have occurred since then. This wave of
slaughter was organized by politicians, military officials, businessmen, and even civilians joined the
chaos. It was such an atrocious

4. 500 Word. Describe The Top Three Reasons You Have Chosen
500 word
Describe the top three reasons you have chosen osteopathic medicine as your professional choice in
becoming a physician (Please use your own description and not one that widely describes the
profession).
While enrolled in Existence and Reality, a course offered at Allan Hancock College, I was
tasked to reflect on my beliefs concerning the seven most prevailing philosophical questions;
what is life, what is death, is there a God, is there life after death, why is there so much evil and
suffering in the world, and what is the good life? Due to my religious beliefs, I am certain that
there is a God, but when talking about the concept of life, I found myself questioning what my
purpose was. I have always had a calling to help ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After sustaining a knee injury that required for surgical intervention while in high school, I
struggled with recurring ailments throughout my intercollegiate career. It was not until my father,
who is an Osteopathic physician, was performing manipulation on me did we begin to diagnose the
potential causes. The issue was muscle imbalance and limited flexibility in certain areas of my body
that was shifting majority of my weight onto my knees while performing certain movements. This
went unnoticed by physicians because while performing examinations the scope was concentrated
on the immediate areas around my knee. With the knowledge I obtained through manipulation I
have been able to treat my knee ailments by strengthening and lengthening muscles throughout my
body. Having this experience helped solidify that if I am to be the physician I aspire to be, it is
imperative to be trained in this form of medicine.
Professionalism and the ability to gain respect in the community in which you live is of utmost
importance as you embark upon a career as a physician. What three professional qualities do you
feel a Student Doctor must be able to demonstrate as he/or she makes the transition into the study
and practice of medicine. How will you demonstrate those qualities as a medical student at VCOM?
Throughout life individuals go through multiple transitions. When specifically

5. Count Orlok Nosferatu Expressionism
Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauen, is a german expressionist horror film that takes its roots
from Bram Stoker s Dracula. While being an adaptation of Stoker s work, the films main anti
hero is seperate ways. Dracula is suave while Count Orlok is depicted as a monster would be
imagined. Orlok is seen as decrepit and much more frightenting. This adds a sense of realism in that
he is a monster and acts as such.
The film is simmilar to The Cabinet of Dr.Caligari. It is simmilar because the are expressionist
films, and not because they are soundless and in greyscale. The transition period after World War I
created Germany s expressionist film industry. The feelings of horror and despair that most of the
country felt after the war were projected onto this art style. ... Show more content on

Blue symbolized the dark nights, where Count Orlok would spend most of his screen time active.
Red symbolized the bright days, in which there were an abundance of people moving around, and
finnaly the dissentrigation of the Count. The symbolism in film went much further than that as
well. Where the scenes using low key lighting implied great evil, such as the shadowy figure of the
Count in his castle as it became night. Scenes with high key lighting symbolized good, such as
when Ellen is baiting Orlok.
A reccuring type of camera shot was the low angel shot that Count Orlok framed in. It made his
figure seem much more ominious and dangerous. He seemed much more lanky and when he would
stare into the camera, it would drive a sense of fear into the watcher.
Sound in the film was used to set the mood of scenes quite well. In the more relaxed parts, there
would be an upbeat melody. In the morbid scenes with Orlok, the music would be in a hurried
pace, almost seeming like itself was trying to escape from the

6. Dorothy Day Pacifism Analysis
Essay 2 Being Catholic comes with some important ideological stances about an individuals value
to society and the Catholic church and communities surrounding the church have developed a
strong stance on the importance of humanity. Dorothy Day took the ideologies of Catholic social
teaching and combined them with her long standing history of social justice work and created an
environment that fostered community and equality for people who were suffering under the
economic strains of the 30s and other societal injustices, such as racism. During her time she was
able to set up a newspaper that preached catholic social teachingin an easy and accessible manor for
thousands of people, along with creating the Catholic Worker Houses in many cities. Dorothy Day

In the end of her article, Day asks that governments avoid trading with other countries and take up
a more economically independent approach to running their countries. She asks that we abandon
our neutral sea rights to allow for us to focus on the United State s economic problems along with
aiding the people in need. (Day pg 49). The call to give up our neutral sea rights is interesting in
that she is asking we stop engaging with other countries in trade and instead live at home this
concept is tied to the Catholic social teaching that unjust economies creates injustice (Evangelii
Gaudium). The idea is that with trade amongst other countries benefitting the upper classes and not
creating jobs or other opportunities for impoverished populations the injustice pervades and creates
a space for more inequality. Day in Pacifism is asking for the country to focus on it s own people in
an attempt to administer justice for the impoverished americans and create a economic situation
that would benefit

her points in the form of an article. This paper will review Amee LaTour s arguments and will
assess the quality of her writing and concentrate on any zones of shortcomings in this article.

One if it is she used to many bombastic words in her writing. This might cause the reader to be
confused with what they are reading. For example the usage of the word existential crisis (Amee
LaTour 2014) (p.14) (line 108). This problem also continued when she used the word inadequate
(Amee LaTour 2014) (p.12) (line 95).
Another shortcoming in this article is that it is hard to know where to go with LaTour s
arguments. In expressing her concerns about the causes of low self esteem, LaTour thinks that the
choices a person make can improve their self esteem (p.18) (line142) . This is an unrealistic
argument. The choices that a person might not be the only affect of this issue as their surrounding
and environment can also be a factor of having low self esteem. CONCLUSION
This critical review has reviewed an article 8 common causes of low self esteem by Amee Latour .
This article is very interesting and factful. It offers the dark side of having low self esteem issues.

8. Essay about Unique Design of the Vietnam War Memorial
Unique Design of the Vietnam War Memorial
At the age of twenty one, a female undergraduate at Yale University named
Maya Lin submitted her design for the Vietnam Memorial. Her idea for the memorial was
extremely unique and controversial. After long discussions by a panel, it was chosen for
construction. The design that she submitted was one that was very different in comparison to
other memorials, and it was one that has a tendency to leave a lot of questions on the minds of the
visitors. On the face of the memorial there is a list of all those who died or are missing in the order
by which they were lost. It could seem to some one who did not understand the incident that the
monument honors only those lost, but that is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In comparison with other monuments, the Vietnam VeteransMemorial is vastly different. A point of
comparison could be the Marine Corps War
Memorial, otherwise known as the Iwo Jima monument. This monument is a sculpture of three
soldiers risking their lives to keep the American flag flying. The structure has a deep sense of
understood patriotism and there is a great deal of honor that is also associated with it. Unlike the
Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Iwo Jima monument is a tribute only to the Marines who served in
World War Two. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial has no such message of honor and courage, but

The only monument that is similar the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is the memorial to Ulysses S.
Grant. It is located at the foot of the capital and has no clear cut meaning. There is no political
message that can be taken away from GrantВ№s memorial. It neither glorifies war nor possesses an
antiwar message, and there is no moral lesson that can be taken away from this monument (Colliers

Veterans Memorial is that it allows the public to form its own opinion of the conflict with out
forcing a political message. It is because of this ambiguity that the monument is so unique.

in objects and people around them, they see these things from only their point of view. This also
has been said to be the stage of curiosity. Preoperational children are always questioning and
investigating new things and since they know the world only from their very limited point of view
they make up explanations for things they cannot explain (ICELS). The preoperational stage is
therefore characterized by egocentric thought and the inability for children to adopted alternative
viewpoints. According to Piaget this is the stage at which children s thoughts differ the most from
adults. The third stage is the concrete operational stage. This stage extends from ages 7 to 11 and it
is during this stage that a child is able to perform mental operations. Piaget defines a mental
operation as an interiorized action, an action performed in the mind which permits the child to think
about physical actions that he or she previously performed (Piaget 1973, p. 36). At this time
children demonstrate logical, concrete reasoning and their thinking becomes less egocentric as they
are increasingly aware of external events. The primary characteristic of concrete operational thought
is its reversibility; the child can mentally reverse the

C. Gospel Response
1. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus we have been forgiven of our sins past, present, and
future and afforded new life along with freedom and fruitfulness in the Holy Spirit. We ( flesh ) have
been crucified with Christ and it is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us by faith

12. Lab Report Bacteria
Introduction:
Bacteria are among the most abundant of all organisms on earth. Some species of bacteria is
always present in every different environment the plant has to offer. For this to be possible,
bacteria are all very different from one another. This lab aimed to identify a certain colony of
bacteria, using a variety of tests at the disposal of scientists. The simplest method of narrowing
down possibilities involves the use of a compound microscope to observe the general shape of the
cells. The shapes of the bacteria can be Bacilli, Cocci, or Spirochete. This helps to further narrow
the possibilities of what the bacterial species is.
Bacteria can be further split into two different groups: Gram positive and Gram negative. A method
known as Gram staining, which detects peptidoglycan, will stain a cell purple/blue in the
presence of it and pink/red if the absence of it. This test also determines thickness of the cell wall,

The Catalase tests involves exposing the colony of interest to hydrogen peroxide to check for the
presence of the enzyme Catalase. If the bacteria contain the enzyme, exposure to hydrogen peroxide

Catalase test positive genera include Bacillus, Micrococcaceae, and Staphylococcus, while
Clostridium and Streptococcaceae test negative (Holbrook and Leicht, 2015). The second test
administered to gram positive bacteria is the Mannitol Salt Agar (MSA) test. This test involves
observing growth of the bacteria on the MSA medium, which contains very high amounts of
sodium chloride. The only strain capable of growth is Staphylococcus, which causes the medium to

Top 10 worst dog food brands.
Choosing what to feed your dog can seem a little overwhelming and it sometimes might come

harmful for your dog? Probably the stuff you re feeding her now. Because the worst dog foods
are the most fashionable ones on the market. And too many chemicals and low priced filler
ingredients eaten frequently by our pets are the same as us eating a strictly over processed fast
food diet daily for life. I understand you want to keep your dog healthy! To do that, it is essential
to give him the diet closest to that of his ancestral wild dogs... meat or fish. preferably, his food
should contain at least 75 percent protein from genuine meat or fish and 25 percent vegetable and
fruit products.
Unfortunately, it s not easy at all to tell what the worst dog food brand is. Most of the
ingredients just look customized to comply with a dog s digestive tract but the fact is the
ingredients are terrible. So, whatever you do, stay away from dog foods that don t contain meat,
but meat by products. By products can mean any part of an animal except meat; they are waste
products, and may not even contain any protein. Stay away from corn, or any type of grain
product, particularly flour; dogs are usually allergic to these food. Avoid preservatives, chemicals,

Case Summary Synopsis
One man s claim of stumbling upon a small village and leaving behind a big promise to a little
girl has resulted in what is known as the Three Cups of Tea Scandal. There are disputed claims of
Greg Mortenson s details within his book Three Cups of Tea being false. He states that after
attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, he gets separated from his climbing group and finds
himself in a small village, Korphe, located at the bottom of the Karakoram mountain range in
northeastern Pakistan. Whilst being taken care of by the villagers after wandering for 84 days,
a young girl approached him and asked him to build a school for them. He made a promise to do
so and that became the start of the Central Asia Institute. Within Three Cups of Tea , Mortenson
also claims to have been kidnapped by the Taliban whilst looking for a place to build a school.
These men from the Taliban supposedly held him hostage for eight days until he promised to
build schools in that same area. (Court, Livelli, Usman, 2011) These details were the intriguing
and inspiring details of Mortenson s books that brought many to donate in the first place and why
many became distraught after finding that almost everything he said was false. He did not visit
Korphe until nearly a year after he said he did and those men that kidnapped him were really his
hosts in the village he was visiting. The men claim that the Taliban did not even exist in their

that was talked so highly of, full of opportunities for all to have. From the rich to the poor, to the

success. However, the time period of the 1600 s through 1774 would have many trails, errors,
and triumphs, and all would test the limits and the strengths of the newfound settlers, and would
prove these opportunities to be a long, difficult road to success. In the early 1600 s many walks
of life came to the America s, some in search of the riches that had been told of, and some just
searching for freedom of religion. Among some of these people were colonists who had
established their first permanent colony in Virginia, but low and behold many of these people
fell victim to dissension and disease (Norton,41). Life in America would not be as easy such an
easy task. Many of these people came with the intentions of relying on some of the local Indians

18. what was the most significant event in German history
In considering the process of change in the development of Germany over the whole period 1890
1991, how far can the treaty of Versailles been seen as a key turning point?
Jonathan Sokolov
The Treaty of Versailles was a monumental stage in German history, helping to shape German
history for arguably the best part of thirty years. It can be argued that the Treaty was the most
significant event since the unification of Germany in 1890. The short term consequences were also
highly prominent as over 300,000 Germans fled to America in the years 1917 23. Moreover many
Germans were aggrieved by the Treaty, this lead to public exploits (Kapp Putsch and Munich
Putsch) that lead to casualties accumulating into the 1000 s. With so much death and ... Show more

Although William Carr (A History Of Germany 1815 1945 (1985)) argues that as severe as the
Treaty was it should be remembered that Germany might easily have feared much worse. If
Clemenceau had had his way instead of being restrained by Britain and America the treaty could
have been much worse for Germany . However this does not undermine the fact that the Treaty
was highly influential in shaping German history. Finally the Treaty can be held responsible for
the rise of Hitler in 1933. Moreover Hitler used the Treaty as a major campaigning point because
many Germans were still aggrieved by the terns imposed by the Treaty, thus enabling Hitler s rise
to prominence to be swift; however there are many extenuating factors, such as the Reichstag fire
in 1933. Due to the fact the Treaty aided Hitler s rise to power it can be argued it instigated the
process of the Second World War, a monumental stage in German history. No one can challenge the
fact that the Treaty of Versailles was a key turning point; however it is hard to come to a conclusive
statement on whether or not it is the most significant.
After the Second World War the Treaty can no longer be influential as it was scrapped following
Germany s defeat in 1945. Following the defeat of Germany in June was the three conferences in
1945 that were highly influential In German history,(Tehran, Yalta, Potsdam) in particular Potsdam.

19. Chest To Glove Theory
Pitching mechanics are one of the most controversial and complex things in all of sports. In the
roughly 1.5 seconds that it takes for the pitcher to deliver a pitch, the pitcher uses almost every
muscle in his body in a variety of ways. That is what makes it so difficult and also why it is so
important that it is done correctly. There are many different ways of throwing a ball sixty feet six
inches. Two of the main ones are chest to glove, and gloveside disconnect. The chest to glove
theory is exactly what it sounds like, the pitchertries to bring his chest to his glove in hopes of
getting a further release point. Gloveside disconnect is a little bit more tricky. With this method the
pitcher either points his glove towards the catcheror... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of these negatives is that pitchers can lose lots of trunk rotation by trying to bring chest to
glove. A quote that supports this is by focusing too much on getting your glove out and bringing
your chest forward you often tend to block yourself off (The Importance of Good Glove Arm
Action). Blocking off means that the pitcher is not fully able to get over their front foot and is
unable to follow through correctly . This causes them to lose trunk rotation which is a very
important part of high velocity pitching mechanics (How to efficiently change pitching mechanics).
While this seems to contradict that the chest to glove method gives more angular trunk velocity,
the two are actually different. The difference is that angular trunk velocity is the speed at which
the trunk is moving while trunk rotation is the amount of movement, not necessarily how fast it is
going. Another negative is that chest to glove can lead to no follow through. The less trunk
rotation there is, the less a pitcher is going to be able to follow through, which is vital to
deceleration. Proper deceleration is also extremely important to injury prevention. No follow
through will often lead to throwing pitches high, which is not good. Not following through leads
to a further back release point. The further back their release point the more likely it becomes that
the ball will fly out early. These are the negatives of the chest to glove

24. The Heart Of The Blake Poem Analysis
Blake uses rhetorical questions asked by the narrator while Shelley has Victor expect immediate
answers to his questions. Blake has the narrator utilize rhetorical questions to prove that the
godlike figure does not require concrete answers, but prefers to live in awe and wonderment. On
the contrary, Victor s desire for knowledge and need for answers exemplifies that of a god,
eventually leading him and his creation to lead a miserable life due to Victor attempting to assume
a godlike position, and therefore, defying Romanticism. Throughout his poem, the narrator asks
thirteen questions. The topic of the questions do not center around the narrator himself, but
about the Tyger and the creator. With Did he smile his work to see? (Blake l. 19) and Did he
who made the Lamb make thee? (Blake l. 20), the speaker shows genuine curiosity and respect
for the creator. Similarly, the speaker also inquires about the Tyger by stating What the hand, dare
seize the fire? (Blake l. 8), Could twist the sinews of thy heart? (Blake l. 6), and What dread
hand? what dread feet? (Blake l. 12). Consistent with this curiosity, questioning also appears in the
last line at the beginning and ending stanza. Having the similar questions Could frame thy fearful
symmetry? (Blake l. 4) and Dare frame thy fearful symmetry? (Blake l. 24) introduce and conclude
the poem, the narrator is portrayed as invested in others than himself. Thus, the narrator is

and II) Vladek Spiegelman makes it very clear to his son, Artie, that one cannot count on their
friends. He makes the point that in time of hardship, friends will abandon you quite quickly.
Vladek says, Friends? Your friends...if you lock them together in a room with no food for a
week...then you could see what it is, friends! (Maus, VI. 5 6). Throughout the novel, we see
examples of this gloomy point proven repeatedly. In the first volume of the novel, Haskel, a cousin
of the family and a chief of the Jewish police is guarding the ghetto that... Show more content on

The Spiegelman family and their comrades were trying to be compassionate and help someone
that they identified with, someone who, through a shared desperate situation (or so they
thought) they tried to befriend. Unfortunately, he was so quick to turn his back on the people
who had treated him so kindly. Yet again, it becomes evident that no one can be trusted when the
prisoners are being marched from the concentration camp due to the Nazis fear that the United
States and allies soon would discover their operation. The Jewish prisoners arrange a plan with
some of the German guards marching alongside them. The prisoners pay the guards with the
agreement that when they try to run the German soldiers will fire over their heads and not kill
them. When the time came to run, the prisoners break away from the pack and start towards the
woods, however, the same soldiers that promised not to shoot them shot them in the back as they
ran (Maus V II 82 83). The Germans that were supposed to be the friends of the Jews and help
them escape took their gold and did not hesitate to shoot them in the back as they ran. Fortunately,
for everyone s sake, not everyone was only out to save himself or herself. In contrast to the many
examples where betrayal was the norm there are several examples of friends who were genuine and

Historians argue whether or not the bombs were actually the main cause of the Japanese surrender
For Many people think that the bomb was necessary to help end the war and convince the Japanese
to surrender. They say that the consequences of a continued war would be much worse than the
consequences of using the bombs. Prevented Further Injury The people who argue that the bomb
was effective say that if the war had continued, there would be potentially hundreds of thousands of
Japanese civilian and American soldiers deaths and injury in an invasion of Japan which was being

30. Neural Network Based Intrusion Detection Systems
3. Neural Networks This technique follows the same notion of how human brain works. It
consists of collection of highly interconnected processing elements that convert a set of given
inputs to a set of desired outputs. The widely used neural network for intrusion detection is
Multilayer Perceptions (MLP).Neural Network based intrusion detection systems are intended to
classify the normal and intrusion patterns and the type of the attack. For this purpose, the
network is trained on various types of attacks and normal data. One input node is present for
each element of the feature vector, and one output node for each class, to which a feature may be
assigned, as shown in fig.4. The nodes in the hidden layer are connected to the input nodes and
the connection has some initial weight assigned to it. These weights can be modified during the
training process. Fig.4 : Neural Network Back propagation rule is the learning algorithm used for
MLP which is a gradient descent method and is based on an error function. Error function
represents the difference between network s calculated output and desired output. The error is
back propagated from one layer to the previous one using back propagation rule. The weights on
the connection are modified according to the back propagated error so that there is reduction in the
error. The output of the neural network would be one of the two values: intrusion and normal. It is
seen that, huge number of training vectors leads to

31. Disadvantages Of Wireless Networks
Technology is constantly advancing, which causes a need for mobile and wireless networks.
However, the creation of mobile and wireless networks causes a need to increase security
protocols and measures. Cell phones are now being used for sensitive work information, as well
as laptops. Many people have the capability of working from home by using laptops issued by
their employers. Using a home or public network is not always safe, it does not have the security
and systems to monitor the network and access. Before any work is done on these devices the
proper security needs to be in place such as firewalls, pop up blockers, and private network
connections. However, there are both advantages and disadvantages to the use of wireless
networking and what is will be like in the future. To start, a wireless networkor Wi Fiis a technology
that allows electronic devices to exchange data or connect to the Internet through wireless
communications using 2.4 GHz signals or 5 GHz signals. Wi Fi is also used to synonymously to
indicate a wireless local area network (WLAN) based on the IEEE 802.11 protocol (Ghosh, Sinha

first released in 1997. Becki Wood wrote an article titled History of WiFi in the article she says

32. Clarity Project Paper
The Auditing Standards Board has launched the Clarity Project (Lindberg Seifert, 2011) which is
an effort to make the U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS) easier to
comprehend in the eyes of non public businesses. The Clarity Project will result in the first
complete redrafting and recodification of U.S. GAAS since 1972 (Morris Thomas, 2011, para. 2).
Four of the most significant changes are: changing the format of the standards so they are more
consistent and readable, the wording in the auditor s report, group auditstandards, and the
authoritative status on the 10 generally accepted auditingstandards (Morris Thomas, 2011). The
Clarity Project also includes the process of integrating the U.S. GAAS with International Standards
on Auditing (ISA).
There are five key topics for comparison between ISA and U.S. Auditing Standards. The U.S.
Auditing Standards is broken up between two groups: Auditing Standards Boards (ASB) and
Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). ASB is the authoritative group for non
public companies. PCAOB is the authoritative group for public companies. PCAOB was formed
from the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) (Lindberg Seifert, 2011). The five key topics to
compare ISA and US GAAS are: documentation of audit procedures, going concern considerations,
internal control over financial reporting, risk assessment, and use of another auditor. Let s discuss
each of them below.

Abstract:
The emissions from two stroke outdoor power equipment, light terrestrial vehicles, and marine
vehicles are a significant detriment to air quality, human health, and the environment. Due to the
mechanical nature two stroke engines operations, engines running on fuel oil mixtures that have
been blended from biologically based oils generate far less Green House Gas emissions than two
stroke engines running fuel oil mixtures blended from more traditional petroleum based outdoor
power equipment oil. Preliminary results of previous research support the hypothesis that
equipment running on bio synthetic fuel oil blends emits drastically lower amounts of
Hydrocarbons, Nitrogen Oxides, and Carbon Monoxide than equipment operating exclusively on
petroleum based fuel oil mixtures. In addition, qualitative factors such as the color and smell of the
exhaust fumes, and differences in engine performance have also been monitored and recorded.
These data have been gathered in two separate and complimentary stages where the results were
accumulated, condensed, and analyzed with the objective of discovering differences in the
emissions and engine performance of Outdoor Two Stroke Power Equipment (OPE) running on
petroleum based oil versus bio synthetic oil.

What role does liberalism play in socio legal theory? How do the theories you ve chosen address
law s liberalism?
Natural law, Legal Feminism and Marx s theory versus Liberalism.
What role does liberalism play in socio legal theory?
Liberalism is a theory where the rule of law is based on principles of equality and freedom. The
first principles for this theory came from the classical liberalism while the latter principles known
are more obvious in social liberalism. The first liberals embraced a wide range of practices
depending on their point of views of these philosophies, but in general, they supported ideas and
behaviors such as freedom of speech, of the press, of religion, civil rights, secular governments
and democratic societies. Of course this is very easy to understand and explain nowadays, after
so many authors have struggled to defined what liberalism really is and seeks. Using theories of
Natural law, Legal Feminism and Marx s theory versus Liberalism, this paper will analyze the
implication of rights for each theory and how they can be used in a negative and/or positive way
within the socio legal framework.
Indeed, for many years, philosophers have sought to encounter a definition to liberalism, though
their attempts have revolved around abstract and philosophical arguments to come to a neutral
definition, which accordingly to Suda (2000, p. 140) can be:
Liberalism is above all a system of thought which puts at the center of its preoccupations

Technology application of antiquity was so advanced in some areas that only in the last several
centuries has modern technology overtaken what existed several millennia ago . The massive

Rome, such as artillery machinery, was still state of the art 200 years ago . Neither Rome nor

Romans solved this by applying Persian aqueduct technology . Technology spread throughout the
military, right down to simple but highly effective Celtic sourced chainmail body armor that

became vulnerable and led to further expansion. This objective was first above anything else.
Without the military strength to establish and spread the empire, no other artistic, architectural,
domestic, or other cultural innovation could take place . This state priority was for survival
because without relentless enhancements to labor resources, military methods, and technology,
Rome would fall. In fact, Rome nearly fell, and in 31 BC, Octavian established a military

Pastor Kevin that I will submit to both him and senior pastor s decision.
The issue was raised when I was struggling to understand why pastor Kevin did not ask me as the
speaker of summer retreat. I was hurt by the fact that I ve heard from the one of Sunday school
teacher, not directly from him. I ve respectfully asked him for one on one meeting to discuss the

important to being an effective play builder because they all have important attributes involved
which help benefit the play builder for it to be successful.
Being a good actor is important in this circumstance in my opinion because, being talented at the
one thing that is involved with a play it beneficial, the play builder is able to place themselves in

Collaboration is important because another party may have a better line or idea that works better
with the scene or the script. This can also help with character development by creating greater
aspects and backing stories towards the characters. Being good at collaboration also means being
good at cooperation and team work so these skills not only benefit play building but helps advance
an actor to become better in who they are. Working with other play builders can be difficult but
also teaches to be patient and understanding towards other play builders and helps create a
relationship by listening and joining ideas to make one great piece that suits all.
In conclusion, I believe that all three of these aspects are important to being a skilled and great play
builder because being a good actor involves being able to develop a character, being a good
improviser helps a play builder be a quick thinker and shows how creative one can be on the spot
and how fast a scene can be altered, and being great at collaborations because this involves

are victories to find cures and treatments for severe diseases, but one must go through the battle first
to achieve such satisfaction. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), malnutritionis the
most serious threat to global public health. Severe acute malnutrition is the most dangerous form
of malnutrition. Worldwide, it affects about 19 million children under the age of five years. This
disease expresses itself in two ways: wasting and oedema. Wasting is characterised as an extreme
loss of muscle, fat and tissue, forcing children to look elderly and skeletal. Oedema can spread

cause skin lesions, hepatomegaly, and alopecia. If severe acute malnutrition is left untreated, the
outcome is death. This organization took a stand to find a solution to this problem. To be able to
