JQ1 is a thienotriazolodiazepine molecule with
the ability to inhibit BET proteins, these proteins
play a role in regulating gene expression
within cells.
It has potential to disrupt abnormal cell growth
associated with various diseases, particularly
cancers. It is currently undergoing clinical trials
for various applications but is not yet an approved
treatment.
