1) Biblical hope is not merely wishing or hoping that something will happen, but rather it is having sure knowledge and confidence based on God's promises.
2) A Christian's hope is grounded in the unchanging and faithful word of God rather than circumstances or feelings. It provides an anchor for the soul through both good and bad times.
3) The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of the Christian's hope for their own resurrection and eternal life with God. This hope encourages believers to persevere through trials and hard times.
Sabbath school lesson 12, 1st quarter of 2017David Syahputra
The document discusses the ministry of the Holy Spirit based on passages from the Bible. It describes three ways the Holy Spirit convicts people: of sin, because they do not believe in Jesus; of righteousness, because Jesus went to the Father and people can no longer see Him; and of judgment, because Satan has already been judged. It also discusses how the Holy Spirit gives believers assurance of salvation by sealing them and acting as a guarantee of their inheritance until redemption. Finally, it mentions how the Holy Spirit fills believers with hope through the power of God.
The document discusses the work of the Holy Spirit according to scripture. It outlines three main functions of the Holy Spirit: 1) He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. 2) He gives believers the assurance of salvation by sealing them. 3) He fills believers with hope, joy and peace. The Holy Spirit leads people to repentance through Jesus, gives new life to believers as adopted children of God, and empowers believers to live according to God's will.

2) Jesus taught that we must choose to follow him above all else, even our families, or it can lead to division.
3) Egoism, ambition, and hypocrisy are roots of inner restlessness, while trusting in God and focusing on others rather than ourselves can help overcome these.
4) To find peace when feeling restless, we must trust in God's promises and life to come in heaven.
So what is hopelessness? It is a feeling that conditions will never improve, that there is no solution to a problem, and, for many, a feeling that dying by suicide would be better than living, but we can be transformed from hopelessness to hope.
1) The document provides an overview of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount from the Gospel of Matthew. It summarizes the eight Beatitudes that Jesus teaches, which outline virtues like humility, mercy, and peacemaking.
2) The Beatitudes present a contrasting vision of values compared to the world - focusing on qualities like poverty of spirit rather than wealth. They provide guidance for living a Christ-like life and entering the Kingdom of Heaven.
3) The document concludes by emphasizing that Christians should strive daily to incorporate Jesus' teachings into their lives through love, forgiveness, and nonviolence.
This document contains a prayer asking God to teach people justice and generosity so they can live according to the gospel. It also discusses passages from Romans about how Christians should welcome and support each other, including welcoming the weak and minority groups, as Christ welcomed all people. The majority has a responsibility to ensure unity and justice for all in both the church and society.

17th February 2017 - Does God give us more than we can handleThorn Group Pvt Ltd
1) As Christians, we will face trouble in this world but God will not allow any difficulty that is beyond our ability to bear. With faith in God, we can overcome any temptation or testing.
2) When we are tempted, God provides a way out and the strength to endure. Our strength does not come from ourselves but from God. We should commit our problems to God in prayer and seek His assistance.
3) Not all prayers are answered simply through praying. We must have faith in God, repent of sins, and seek His salvation in order to receive His assistance and provision.
The document discusses the blessings of the cross, including forgiveness, provision, victory, and healing. It explains that through the cross, Jesus has forgiven our sins, provided for our needs, won victory over sin, death, and Satan, and made healing possible. However, Satan tries to keep us in unbelief, condemnation, and defeat. We must stand firm in the promises of God secured through Christ's sacrifice and receive the blessings of forgiveness, provision, victory, and healing by faith.
The document discusses the present-day ministry of Jesus as our High Priest and Mediator. As High Priest, Jesus stands before God on our behalf and has obtained forgiveness of sins. As Mediator, Jesus enforces the new covenant and was the mediator between God and man through his redemptive work on the cross. The document emphasizes learning to relate to Jesus in his roles as High Priest of the blood covenant and as Mediator.
The document provides a summary of the Easy Reading Edition for April 1-7. It discusses various symbols of the Holy Spirit found in the Bible, including a dove, water, oil, a seal and guarantee, light and fire. It explores what each symbol represents about the Holy Spirit's work, such as bringing purity, spiritual growth, empowerment, and God's promises. The summary teaches that the Holy Spirit helps Christians live according to God's will, changing areas of their lives, and flowing out to help others through their words and actions, guided by the Spirit's influence.
This document provides information about salvation and what happens after receiving salvation. It discusses that after being saved, believers will be led by the Holy Spirit and face temptations but God will provide a way to endure. It also explains that the Holy Spirit lives inside believers and guides them, and that becoming part of God's family means being adopted as his sons and daughters and inheriting eternal life. The document ends by emphasizing that salvation comes through having faith in Jesus, even if it is small as a mustard seed.
The birth of Jesus Christ is considered the greatest miracle of all time according to the document. It was an unequaled event in human history as no magician or scientist has ever been able to create or manipulate human birth. Additionally, many unparalleled wonders occurred during Jesus's birth, such as angels announcing his arrival to shepherds and a special star that led the wise men. Due to Jesus being born of the Holy Spirit without a human father, his bloodline was heavenly which allowed him to save humanity from sin. The incarnation of God in human form through Jesus's birth remains a profound mystery that cannot be explained through ordinary human means.
The article discusses how the Bible can provide inspiration on various topics such as hope, strength, courage, God's love, God's promises, and life in Heaven. It cites several Bible verses to illustrate each topic. For example, it notes that Jeremiah 29:11 gives hope by stating God has plans for our welfare. Romans 15:13 brings joy and peace from believing. Isaiah 41:10 and 1 Corinthians 10:13 provide reassurance of God's strength. John 4:7-8 and Psalms 136:26 discuss God as the source of love. Psalms 32:8 and John 6:47 promise God's guidance and eternal life. Revelation 21:4 describes the end of suffering in Heaven. Finally, it finds
Series jesus is -______ - message – part 6 - jesus is alive – sunday 03-...LifePointe Church
This is the final message (Part 6) in Pastor Chuck Bernal's series, "JESUS is _____________". The message is titled, "JESUS is Alive". In this message Pastor Chuck talks about the fact that Easter is a FACT and that Jesus is really alive. And because he is alive, it changes everything and it changes our lives in three powerful ways. First, because Jesus is alive, it changes our past (Easter brings forgiveness). Second, because Jesus is alive, it changes our present (Easter gives purpose). And third, because Jesus is alive, it changes our future (Easter instills hope). This message was delivered at LifePointe Church on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016.
The document provides teachings on the steps to salvation according to Jesus. It explains that salvation comes through God's grace by recognizing our sinful nature, repenting of sins, having faith in Jesus through accepting his righteousness, and following him. While humans can recognize their sins and repent, it is God who gives the faith to believe and enables repentance. True faith is not just mental belief but a personal trust in Jesus as savior. The righteousness received through faith in Christ covers believers, allowing them to enter God's kingdom. Ongoing salvation requires abiding in Jesus' teachings and being his disciples by living according to the Bible and sharing him with others. Salvation is solely a gift from God and cannot be earned or deserved through
This document summarizes the key events in Matthew 3:13-17 surrounding Jesus' baptism and anointing. It discusses how Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist to fulfill all righteousness even though he was sinless. At his baptism, the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus in bodily form like a dove, anointing him for service. A voice from heaven then declared "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."

Checking a proposition with a truth table is a way to determine if it is a tautology or contradiction in propositional logic.
This document discusses basic concepts in logic and constructing truth tables. It defines a proposition as a declarative sentence that is either true or false. Propositions can be simple or compound, formed using logical connectors like "and", "or", and "if-then". Truth tables show all possible truth value combinations of propositions, with one row per combination. They are used to evaluate propositions with logical operators like negation, conjunction, disjunction, conditional, and biconditional. A truth table for n propositions will have 2n rows, one for each possible combination of true and false values.
This document discusses prime factorization, greatest common factors (GCF), least common multiples (LCM), and the Euclidean algorithm. It provides examples of finding the prime factorization of numbers, using factor trees and canonical representation. It also gives steps for calculating the GCF and LCM of two or more numbers by finding their prime factorizations and examining the exponents of common factors. The Euclidean algorithm is introduced as an alternate method for finding the GCF of two numbers based on repeated division. Applications of these concepts to rational numbers and fractions are also described.
The document describes three scenarios where the author's friends and family want to borrow money from the P1,500 the author withdrew from their savings account. In the first scenario, the author's younger sister needs P1,000 for a garage sale and offers to sell the author a bond that the author can keep for a week in return and promises to pay back. In the second scenario, the author's older brother wants to borrow the full P1,500 for a business idea and promises to pay back P1,800 in four weeks. In the third scenario, the author's best friend wants to borrow P1,500 to buy cupcakes to resell at a profit and promises to pay back P1,700
Pascal's triangle is a triangular array of the binomial coefficients that arises from the binomial formulas. It was studied extensively by the French mathematician Blaise Pascal in the 17th century. The binomial theorem states that the expansion of (a + b)^n can be written as the sum of terms involving the binomial coefficients, with the coefficient of each term found using the appropriate entry in Pascal's triangle. Examples are provided of using the binomial theorem to expand expressions like (x + y)^5 and determining coefficients of specific terms in the expansions.
This document provides formulas and descriptions for calculating values related to stock prices, dividends, and required rates of return. It includes formulas for calculating the value of stocks based on current/future dividends, dividend growth rates, and required rates of return. It also shows formulas for calculating the required rate of return based on current stock prices, dividends, and growth rates. An example calculation applies the formulas to determine a stock's current price and required rate of return.
This document discusses divisibility rules for determining if a number is divisible by certain divisors without performing long division. It provides rules for testing if a number is divisible by divisors from 1 to 16 by examining the numbers digits. For example, a number is divisible by 2 if its last digit is even, divisible by 5 if its last digit is 0 or 5, and divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3. Examples are given to demonstrate how to apply these tests to determine divisibility.
This document defines and provides examples of different types of real numbers including rational and irrational numbers. It discusses how rational numbers can be represented as fractions or decimals, and how to convert between fraction and decimal representations. Irrational numbers are defined as having non-terminating, non-repeating decimal representations. The key types of real numbers - natural numbers, integers, rational numbers, and irrational numbers - are related in a Venn diagram with their union being the set of all real numbers.
Mathematical induction is a method of proof that can be used to prove that a statement is true for all positive integers. It involves two steps: 1) proving the statement is true for the base case, usually n = 1, and 2) assuming the statement is true for an integer k and using this to prove the statement is true for k + 1. Examples are provided to demonstrate how to use mathematical induction to prove statements such as the sum of the first n positive integers equalling n(n+1)/2 and that 7n - 1 is divisible by 6 for all positive integers n.
The document defines sequences and series in precalculus. A sequence is a function with positive integers as its domain. A series represents the sum of the terms of a sequence. The document provides examples of arithmetic and geometric sequences, and defines their associated series. It also discusses infinite geometric series and harmonic sequences. Examples are given to identify sequences and series, determine sequence terms, and identify types of sequences.
This document provides information and formulas related to general mathematics concepts involving annuities. It defines key terminology used in annuity calculations such as present value, amount, periodic payment, term, and rate. Formulas are presented for calculating the present value, amount, and periodic payment of both ordinary and annuity due. Examples applying the formulas to solve for present value, amount, and periodic payment are also shown.
This document outlines key formulas for calculating compound interest with different conversion periods such as annually, semi-annually, quarterly, and monthly. It defines the periodic rate as the interest rate per conversion period, which is calculated as the annual interest rate divided by the number of conversion periods in a year. Formulas provided calculate the future/compound amount, present value, annual interest rate, and time period, based on inputs like principal, interest rate, number of conversion periods, and future/compound amount.
This document discusses and provides examples of routine and non-routine problem solving. Routine problems involve using arithmetic operations to solve practical problems and have clear, straightforward procedures. Non-routine problems require more creativity, originality, and higher-order thinking skills as they may have multiple solutions or approaches that are not immediately obvious. Ten examples are given that illustrate the differences between routine and non-routine problems of increasing complexity.
This document discusses employee grievances and how managers should address them. It defines a grievance as any real or perceived dissatisfaction an employee feels about their job or workplace. Grievances can escalate and negatively impact employee morale, productivity and retention if left unaddressed. Managers should quickly acknowledge grievances, gather relevant facts, identify the root cause, consider alternative solutions, make and communicate a decision, then follow up to ensure the grievance has been fully resolved. Effective grievance management is important for maintaining a loyal and committed workforce.
This document defines and provides key details about the equation of a hyperbola. It states that a hyperbola is the set of all points where the absolute difference between the distance to two fixed points, called foci, is a constant. The document outlines that a hyperbola has:
1) A center point equidistant between the two foci
2) Vertices that are the points where the hyperbola intersects the line between the foci
3) Asymptotes that are lines extending from the center point and serve as a guide for graphing the hyperbola.
This document discusses graphing rational functions. It defines key concepts like domain, range, intercepts, zeros, and asymptotes. An example rational function f(x)=x-2/(x+2) is used to demonstrate how to find these values and graph the function. The domain is all real numbers except -2, the x-intercept is 2, and the y-intercept is -1. The vertical asymptote is at x=-2. Horizontal asymptotes occur when the degree of the numerator is less than, equal to, or greater than the degree of the denominator.
The document discusses solving rational inequalities. It defines interval and set notation that can be used to represent the solutions to inequalities. It then presents the procedure for solving rational inequalities, which involves rewriting the inequality as a single fraction on one side of the inequality symbol and 0 on the other side, and determining the intervals where the fraction is positive or negative. Examples are provided to demonstrate solving rational inequalities and applying the solutions to word problems.
The Book of Ruth is included in the third division, or the Writings, of the Hebrew Bible. In most Christian canons it is treated as one of the historical books and placed between Judges and 1 Samuel.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

these may bring temporary satisfaction, they cannot provide lasting fulfillment or
meaningful purpose.
5. Point number 2
Jesus Christ is the authentic source of hope.
THE AUTHENTIC SOURCE of HOPE
