Photos and editing effects
1.
2. The first image shown is the original photograph, one of the pictures I took. I liked this image so I decided to use it I just
wanted to edit a little to make it look more professional for my magazine. So I cropped bits of the background out as in
some shots I got things in the background that I didn’t want in my photos, being a radiator in this picture. When I went
on Photoshop to edit my picture I started by just changing the brightness and contrast then I decided to add a tint and
change the colour a little, I thought this effect made the picture appear more professional and look as though it was took
in a studio due to the lightening the editing effects I chose gave it.
3. I planned on taking some of my photographs then getting some pictures I
liked and editing them to put my own style on it, the kind of style that my
magazine would be like. So the above image is the one I got and then I
cropped it as I only wanted to use one of them then I edited it on
Photoshop changing the colours and brightness and contrast, I have
decided that all images featured in my magazine will be sort of dark with
the colours and the blue effect I have been adding to it. So all images
featured in my magazine will follow in the same style. I used this image for
my front cover and decided to duplicate the image so that it was like
showing a mirror image of the picture.
4. With this image I was already quite happy with how it had turned out I just wanted to add
the effects I have been adding with the other images I am using in my magazine so that it
would fit in with my theme. So with this image I only used two effects. I used the colour
change effect and picked ‘Cyan Blue’ as the colour I wanted to change it to then when I did
that it came out a little brighter than I had wanted so I changed the contrast a little to make
it darker and that’s how I got this image that features on my double page spread.
5. With this image I just wanted to make the make up stand out a bit more than it had on the original image
so it didn’t take long editing this image all I did was change the brightness and contrast putting them
both up higher and stopping when I liked how it made the image look then I changed the hue and
saturation of the image and ended up with this so just slightly changed it.
6. I used this image 3 times on one page, editing it to make it look slightly different each time. I think I made it
clear to see that it was the same image but I just edited it slightly to change the colours and the brightness and
the contrast of the image.
So with this image all I did was first of all, cropped the image so that there was less background in it than there
was in the original so it just started shoulder to shoulder and I played around with the brightness and contrast
levels till I liked how the image looked and used the vibrant effect.

8. I wanted all the images that are in my magazine to have the same effect so they all followed in the same sort of
style. However I have two different styles, my images will either have a blue tint over the top of them or have a
blue tint to them or they will be quite bright and vibrant but soft and light at the same time.
