2. CF Ski Challenge Background
Summary
Entering our 18th year, the CF Ski Challenge Weekend is set for another exciting year at the Bretton
Woods Ski Area and Mount Washington Resort. Our event has grown over the years to include a
wide variety of participants from all over New England. The main focus of this event is for CF
families and those who support our mission to come together in a fun and relaxed atmosphere and
share with each other their stories and triumphs.
A new opportunity this year for businesses and individuals is to become a Mogul Sponsor of the
event. Not only does it allow for us to partner with local companies and retailers to provide great
exposure to our guests and participants, but it also lets our supporters know that your company is
behind our efforts to cure CF. Our participants come from every corner of each state in New
England, with many hailing from the high tech, biomedical, and scientific research communities that
reside in the region. Becoming a Mogul Sponsor provides your company an opportunity to
reach out to this sought-after demographic of potential future customers or clients.
History
The New England Cystic Fibrosis Ski Challenge was started in 1992 as a way for CF families and
supporters to come together to raise awareness for CF and to provide a fun winter activity to our very
busy event calendar. Since its inception, this annual ski weekend in New Hampshire has raised more
than $3.5 million for CF research and patient care. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar raised goes
directly to education, research and care programs.
Present
Current corporate partners of the Cystic Fibrosis Ski Challenge include: American Airlines, Dunkin’
Donuts, New England GMC Dealers, Bretton Woods and the Mount Washington Resort, Atlas
PyroVision Productions, WGIR and WHEB radio stations, and more to come through this Mogul
Sponsorship Program.
Future
We hope that you will consider working with us during this exciting time for both the CF Ski
Challenge and in the world of research and care for children and adults battling cystic fibrosis.

3. A glance at the data from the last two years of
participants reveals that many of our CF Ski
Challenge participants come from the greater
New England Region. Each of these pushpins
represents a family or individual who has
attended our event since 2007.

4. The Northern New England Branch of the CF
Foundation has an extensive email network that is
used during the promotion of upcoming events.
Targeted markets and other qualifications are
used when an email is sent out. Each blue
pushpin represents an individual or household
who receives our email blasts.

5. Mogul Level Sponsorship Opportunity
As one of several Mogul Level Sponsors of the Cystic Fibrosis Ski Challenge, your company will be
recognized in many forms of print and marketing materials. A $1,000 donation to the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation will secure this level of sponsorship.
Benefits: Recognition in Collateral Materials including:
• Company name listed in Program Book (500 copies)
• Company name listed in Auction Book (350 copies)
• Company name listed on email blasts to hundreds of CF
families & supporters.
• Company name listed on sponsorship level display poster at
the event all weekend long

Woods base lodge and Mount Washington Hotel March 6-8,

participant goodie bags and/or during pre-selected portions

Mogul Level Sponsorship Commitment
Your company will make a $1,000 donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to be one of the
Mogul Level Sponsors of the Cystic Fibrosis Ski Challenge and to support the quest to find a cure.
If the terms and conditions outlined in this proposal are satisfactory, please sign this proposal and
the attached copy. One copy should be kept for your records and the other returned to the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation.
