The 7 Things I Know About Cyber Security After 25 Years | April 2024
Great men lessons
1. … WE CAN MAKE OUR LIVES
SUBLIME.
LIVES OF GREAT MEN ALL
REMIND US ….
2. We often wish for peace from the external source,
emphasize on circumstances to make us happy, and
take shelter in some lame phrases :
„If I could …
„if it could have been …
you feel your happiness lies in the following:
“If I earn more money I will be happy.”
“If I accomplish my dream I will happy.”
“I will be happy the day I am financially secured.”
4. WHAT INSPIRES US FROM THE
ENLIGHTENED BUDDHA?
Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional – it is
our response to the pain that determines our
suffering. No human being can get through life
without experiencing some physical or mental
discomfort, but our suffering is the result of our
reaction to it.
5. ―Peace comes from within. Do not seek
it without.” – Buddha
All that we are is the result of what we have
thought. The mind is everything. What we
think we become.
6. The mind used correctly – i.e. constructive,
empowering, solution- and action-oriented, positive,
truth-seeking – can create happiness. But used poorly –
i.e. blaming, egocentric, negative, blinded by ambition
or separation – it will create unhappiness for us.
7. Awakening mind becomes the friend of the self and
not the creator of a self-image (the concept of the ego)
as a replacement for the true self.
8. No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one
may. We ourselves must walk the path.
9. See and get in touch with the life in a flower directly,
without any interference by our mind by mental
concepts and thoughts of the flower.
10. Mental activity (thoughts) helps build neural structures
and networks, and the more they “fire together, they
wire together,” deepening the pathway. Hence, every
time you go down the same negative pathway in your
thoughts, you are strengthening that pathway, making
that negative thought out of control.
11. Mahatma Gandhi
Look beyond yourself
'There is more to life than simply increasing its
speed.'
In very many ways, Gandhi could have led a
comfortable life had he chosen to.
The young Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi had
a lot going for him -- he had, after all, a foreign
degree, held a steady job and had seen the world
so to say before that fateful night when he was
thrown out of the first class train compartment at
Pietermaritzburg in South Africa in spite of
holding a valid ticket.
12. As he sat shivering in the winter night in the
waiting room of the railway station, Gandhi could
have well shrugged off and moved on with his life
accepting discrimination as part of living and
making two ends meet.
Instead, the night proved to be a turning point in
his life as he decided to stay on in South Africa
and fight the racial discrimination against Indians
there.
It was here that Gandhi would formulate the
unique version of nonviolent resistance that
would change the world for ever -- Satyagraha.
13. Mental activity has with it many features. THOUGHTS
OF OBJECTS CREATES :
Urges; so we could have urges toward something .
And intention; we could have intention to be of some
benefit.
Attention; we could pay very strict attention. We
could be mindful and hold onto these constructive
things. We could have mental stability with them.
We can distinguish between what something is and
what it isn’t; and with discriminating awareness we
can gain more certainty about that, which leads us to
understanding things.
14. If we engage in constructive types of
activity—love, compassion etc.--- with an
intention, the motivation that: ―May this
positive force that comes from it contribute to
my enlightenment‖ – and the enlightenment of
everybody,
then we build up a network of positive force
which is going to build up toward
enlightenment.
15. Albert Einstein
Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you
must keep moving.“
World of business can learn many things from
Einstein, helping to inspire learners on the subjects of
knowledge, goals, experience and overcoming
setbacks:
16. 1. Be Curious
Einstein said that he has “no special talent,” it's just
that he is “passionately curious.” So, what intrigues
your curiosity?
17. 2. Be Imaginative
Einstein said that “imagination is everything.”
According to him, it's even “more important than
knowledge,” since it's able to give you a “preview of
what's coming in your way.”
18. 3. Be determined, be resolved
Einstein said he wasn't a “very smart man,” but he
used to “think of the problems longer.”
What we can learn from this is that if you're willing to
persevere in what you do, you are most likely to reach
your final goals sooner than you might have thought.
Be like a postage stamp; follow your goals until you
would have reached them!
19. 4. Be Focused
What we learn from this is that you can't chase two
rabbits at the same time. Always focus on what you're
currently doing, and you're most likely to have success
in everything you do.
20. 5. Be Valuable
Einstein said that you should “strive not to be of
success,” but rather “to be of value” instead.
Try to discover your hidden gifts and talents, and see
how you can benefit others with their aid.
21. 6. Be Now
Einstein said that he “never thinks of the future,” since
“it'd come soon enough” anyway.
Focus your efforts on what you're doing right now and
live the moment, since you won't get another chance to
meet with it.
22. Golda Meir(Prime Minister of Israel 1969)
1. Listen to your inner voice :you
are far courageous and stronger than
you think you are, far smarter than
you consider your-self to be, and far
more creative than you believe to be.
Learn to trust your-self.
23. Start your day by saying something like „I am
destined to succeed‟ ,it will fill you up with
positive energy and you‟ll love your day.
“Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny,
inner sparks of possibility into flames of
achievement.” Golda Meir
24. Define what "good" means to you.
Decide on your own code of ethics.
At times, this may conflict with what others believe is
good, and they might even accuse you of being wrong
or evil.
Consider their views-either they know something you
don't, in which case you may learn something from
them and update your morality.
Or perhaps their experience is limited.
