How to Create an Event in Facebook
Have you been looking for new ways to promote your products of services to your customers online? Are you
looking for an easy to use application that can help you organize and publicize your event online?

Well look no further. From casual get-togethers to graduation parties, Facebook has made it possible for you to
create events right from your home page. And best of all, once you create an event, you have the option to
publish the event on your wall, a great way to increase visibility. This means, your friends will be able to see the
event and hopefully share it with others in their circle and on and on which is the ultimate objective.

    To begin:
1. Log in to your Facebook account the way you normally would. Go to your “Upcoming Events” box located on the
right-hand column of your home page.

2. Use your mouse to click in the area where it says “What’s the event?” field, a form will open and look like this:

3. Begin filling in the required information. You can also click on the “Add Details” link if you would like to elaborate
more about your planned event. You’ll be taken to a new “Create an Event” window that looks like this:

4. Once you’ve completed the required information, click the “Create Event” button at the bottom of your window to
   complete the process.
Another option …
1. You can also “Create an Event” by clicking on your Events tabs in the left-hand column of your home page.

2. Click on “Create an Event” which is in the upper right center of the page.

3. Complete the required information, click the “Create Event” button at the bottom of your window to complete the
   process. There you have it!

    What you should know…
Either way you decide to get started creating your event, adding a date, time, what you’re planning, where and
who’s invited will all be required. So you can customize the event, edit its privacy settings and invite guests.

Facebook “Events” is yet another great way to promote your business offerings or tell your audience just about
anything you want them to know about what you’ve got going on if they’re on your guest list. Not to mention,
keeping track and managing how many people are going to attending your event. This way you’re better prepared
and are able to avoid guess work.

    What are you using?
Was this helpful? Are you using Facebook Events for your business? Are there other similar event tools you can
think of that’s better? Do you have any tips you’d like to share?
