It is announced by Microsoft that Windows 8 will be out in the year 2012. The Consumer

Microsoft announced with the launch of consumer preview that Windows 8 will be compatible

based tablets will be having traditional desktop as well as the new Metro interface. But it will
only allow third party metro apps.
The Windows 8 tablets will be thin and light and unlike any other tablet present in the market, it
also includes a unique and sleek keyboard that slides out from below for the purpose of
providing ease of typing to the users. Microsoft is also planning to launch a version of Windows
8 based tablet that is specifically designed for the business users. Moreover, this OS will come
with number of in-built metro apps and also professionals are looking forward for building
innovative apps for it. Other specifications are – 10.1 inch tablet display with 291 pixels per
inch resolution which imply that HD resolution display is the standard feature of this tablet.
