play.
• Devided into two parts.

1st : Scene of
Ophelia's funeral
2nd : Scene of
encounter

• The penultimate scene of the play begins with
the two clowns digging a grave for the late
Ophelia.
• Religion and the state rules.
• This quickly leads them into a discussion of the
impact of politics on the decision.
• They present Ophelia's case from both
positions

• The Second Gravedigger exits as Hamlet and
Horatio enter..
• Hamlet and Horatio enter at a distance and
watch gravediggers work.

soldiers.

• The battlement with Hamlet, Horatio, and Marcellus.
