National Standardization Agency was established by Presidential Decree No. 13 of 1997 is amended by Presidential Decree No. 166 of 2000 on the Status, Tasks, Functions, Organizational Structure and Work Procedures of Non Departmental Government Institutions as amended several times and the latest by Presidential Decree No. 103 of 2001, is a Non Departmental Government Institutions with the main task to develop and foster standardization activities in Indonesia. The agency replaces the function of the National Standardization Council - DSN. In performing its duties guided by the National Standardization Agency of Government Regulation No. 102 Year 2000 regarding National Standardization.
