Investigating the impacts of the global warming on the agriculture and the fishery of the southern districts of Tamilnadu Rajan, Prabakar & Rengasamy
Aim Th The project is aiming at investigating the impacts of the global warming on the agriculture (main occupation) and the fishery (main occupation of the coastal region) of the Project area and suggesting appropriate measures to cope it. Objectives 1. To identify the impacts of the global warming on the agriculture and the fishery of the Project area. 2. To suggest appropriate recommendations to cope the global warming effects of these two fields.

  Information on Climatic Conditions : The project aims to collect the following information in order to understand the climatic change scientifically 1. Ambient Temperature (°C) 2. Ambient Pressure (milli bars). 3. Rainfall (mm) 4. Humidity (percentage) 5. Wind Speed (km / hr) and Direction 6. Solar Radiation (watts / m2) 7. Evaporation Rate (mm) 8. Potential Evapo-transpiration (mm) 9. Soil Moisture Index. 10. Sunshine Hours (hrs / day) Rajan, Prabakar & Rengasamy

Aim Th The project is aiming at investigating the impacts of the global warming on the agriculture (main occupation) and the fishery (main occupation of the coastal region) of the Project area and suggesting appropriate measures to cope it. Objectives 1. To identify the impacts of the global warming on the agriculture and the fishery of the Project area. 2. To suggest appropriate recommendations to cope the global warming effects of these two fields.
