• China General Industrial Waste Production (0.1 Billion Ton):
• Widely Used Waste Disposal Methods: sanitary landfill, high-temperature
composting and incineration.
• Problem Faced: market concentration level and industrialization capability
are both low; China is still at the initial stage of industrial waste treatment.

• Market Volume: By the end of 2015, China's total amount of
renewable resource (iron and steel scrap, nonferrous scrap, waste
plastics, waste tires, waste paper, waste electrical and electronic
products, scraped cars, scraped ships, waste glass, and waste
batteries) reach to around 246 million tons. To 2020, it is said the
total amount of renewable resource in China will reach to
300million tons.
• Increasing investment in new renewable resource treatment
technology: like renewable power and fuels ( see table below).
• Problems Faced: low comprehensive utilization rate, far away
from world advanced treatment level; low management level.

• Market Volume: By 2014, China city level waste transported
has reached to 178,600,000tons, town level waste transported to
66,570,000tons,rural level waste transported to 178,600,000tons.
China has become the biggest world household waste
production country.
• Widely Used Waste Disposal Methods: sanitary landfill, high-
temperature composting, incineration, pyrolysis, sorting
recycling and integrated approach.
• Problems Faced: low systematic classification, mainly rely on
sanitary landfill, leachate treatment technology highly in need,
secondary pollution.

capacity is planned to reach 274 million cubic meters / day，
attracting investment to USD 52 billion. If sewerage pipelines
and other related facilities are involved, sewage treatment
network construction needs at least USD 75 billion investment;
For safe decontamination and disposal of sewage sludge, the
scale of investment is expected to USD 75-90 million; Town
sewage treatment is also expected to drive investment demand to
USD299-599 billion.
• Widely Used Treatment Methods: for municipal sewage,
biological activated sludge treatment; for industrial sewage,
physical, chemical, physical-chemical and biological treatment
methods; for countryside sewage, landfill and wetland methods.
• Problems Faced: high cost, secondary pollution, unbalanced
regional water treatment level.
