2. By 2012, existing wireless mobile communications could no longer
accommodate explosive volumes of data resulting from the increased
proliferation of mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablet PCs in
south Korea.

3. As the developer and planner of new products, I was focused on LTE
(Long Term Evolution), the new standard for wireless communications.
Taking my personal interest a step further, I persuaded the company to
create a definite product: LTE based table PC.
4. If LG develop an LTE-based tablet PC, I believed, people could use with
ease. In order that my idea could be executed by management, I should

9. Finally, LG Telecom commercialized the world’s first LTE-based tablet
PC, which placed LG as the pioneer of the LTE market.

10. Through this experience, I realized that a powerful business leader
was a person who had the ability to create opportunities, build
products and systems, and inspire others to take action. I also gained
confidence in the new market which would unfold in the future.
