3. Development of ISO 9000 Standards
• ISO 9000 standards were issued in 1987
• The revised and improved version were published in the year 2000
• ISO 9001:2008 was released in the year 2008, does not introduce new requirements, it clarifies
the existing requirements of ISO 9001:2000
