2. This makes us Norwegian…
● the way we behave
● our culture
● the food we eat
● the sports we like/are good at!
● our industry (oil and gas, fishing, agriculture)
3. The way we behave...
● On this slide we are going to talk about how we, norwegians, behave.
● We are nice, trusting, specific and direct.
● We can also sound rude although we don’t mean it, and don’t like it when
strangers come too near us.
● But we are also very friendly!
● Usually we handshake when meeting new
people.
● In Norway we call this a “Corona-hilsen”.
4. Our culture
In Norway we love to go for a walk in the mountains. The highest mountain in Norway is
Galdhøpiggen. It is 2469 meters above sea level.
We also have many beautiful fjords. The longest is Sognefjorden.
5. Our national costume is bunad. Bunad is often made of wool.
The indigenous people in Norway is the Sami people. They often have a lot of
reindeers.
The Hardangerbunad This is Sunnmørsbunad. This is the Sami flag, their national
is very old.
6. The food we eat…
● “Freia melkesjokolade” is Norway’s most famous chocolate. You should really taste it!
● We eat a lot of potatoes. Many norwegians eat potatoes every day, often together with meat and sauce.
● We love “komla”. Komla is mainly made of potatoes and flour.
● Salted lamb ribs is something that we eat at Christmas.
● We also eat a lot of porridge during Christmas.
7. The sports we like/are good at!
● We love cross-country skiing!
○ Cross-country skiing is a competition sport in Norway.
Marit Bjørgen is one of our best cross-country skiers.
● Slalom is also a popular winter sport in Norway.
● We are good at athletics! You have maybe
heard about Jakob Ingebrigtsen?
● Handball is a popular sport in our country.
● We are very proud of the Norwegian
women's national handball team.
8. Our industry
● We are producing oil and gas from the ground below
the sea floor.
● We sell oil to other countries in Europe.
● We also have a lot of fish in Norway. We sell some of our
fish to Portugal and Spain.
● Agriculture is an important part of both our industry and
culture. In norwegian farms, you find a variety of animals,
including cows, sheeps and chickens.

We have now talked about what makes us Norwegian and the beauty of
Norwegians. The way we behave, our culture, the food we eat, the sports we
like/are good at, and our industry.
