respondents said their desire for
investment advice has increased over the
last four years. Important factors in
working with advisors included knowledge,
investment performance, and service,
among others.

the deficit, the European economic crisis,
and general uncertainty regarding inflation
and taxes.

report noted that investment advisors are
cognizant of the need to keep their
investors in the loop with regard to issues
such as Europe and the Federal deficit.
They noted that the current caution among
investors appears to be tied to political
gridlock and the desire to see stronger
evidence of a market recovery.
