In 1989, Stephen Mabry was offered two different positions in the Texas Hill Country, but felt a special call to the mission of the Texas Lions Camp. Consequently, Stephen joined the seasonal staff of the Texas Lions Camp in the summer of 1989 as the Summer Horsemanship Director. In 1990, Stephen was invited to join the Camp’s professional staff as ranch manager, where he developed the Camp’s therapeutic riding program to include more than 100 students, in addition to the summer camp’s riding program.
