  1. You have to ask the question – should you listen to me? Am I too young to have a wealth of life lessons to share? Or does my misspent youth endow me with lessons? Am I a student of leadership?
  2. A bias for action, active decision making - 'getting on with it'. Close to the customer - learning from the people served by the business. Autonomy and entrepreneurship - fostering innovation and nurturing 'champions'. Productivity through people - treating rank and file employees as a source of quality. Hands-on, value-driven - management philosophy that guides everyday practice - management showing its commitment. Simultaneous loose-tight properties - autonomy in shop-floor activities plus centralised values.
  3. How do you get chosen by the hierarchy? By being a good leader? By being a follower? A good one? By doing what is necessary to please them? Keeping them sweet? Carrying out orders without question or regard for the people it will affect?

Hitler had many of the attributes of a good leader He was a great orator He inspired people to follow him He was chosen by the people not the hierarchy He fought in the trenches in World War 1 But he used his leadership skills to appeal to the negative feelings of people to inspire them to cause pain and suffering and commit evil acts
