Absence from school
   Letter from parent or medical certificate to be
    submitted when pupil returns back to school
   For absence from exams, a medical certificate is
    required
   Work/letters/circulars will be kept and given the
    next day pupil reports back to school
   Extra time given for pupils to complete work
   Pupils are discouraged from bringing handphone
   If your child is down with an infectious illness, do
    inform the school immediately. Keep her home till
    certified well by doctor.
   Pupils are encouraged to keep money with them
    at all times.
   To discuss child’s progress, make appointment
    via phone or e-mail.

   Inform form teacher early via email/letter if child
    needs to be dismissed early for various reasons
    with proof e.g. piano exam
    ◦ Principal’s permission needs to be sought
   If child is ill, she will be sent to the sick bay and
    parents will be informed.
    ◦ Parent needs to sign child out at the office
     prior to taking child home.
   Security measure
    ◦ No parents in school during school hours
     unless prior arrangement has been made
     with school teachers or office
    ◦ To sign in at the security counter
    ◦ Make an appointment with the teacher via
     email

   Pupils to record homework and other notices in
    their school diary

1. Talk to your daughters in spoken Tamil daily.
2. Engage in interesting conversations with her.
3. Read out Tamil stories & ask questions to see
   if she understands the story.
4. Ask her what she learnt in school everyday &
   spend at least 20 minutes daily on Tamil
   lessons at home with your child.
   Communicate with your daughter
   Strike a balance between work and play
   You are their role model
   Plan with your child. Target-setting of goals.
   Teach them to make sound decisions
   Reward the smallest successes
   Inculcate discipline & good attitude expected
   To accompany class on field trips (Ratio 1:20)
