What is a Free Verse? A free verse is a type of poetry that is compose of rhymed on unrhymed lines that have no specific metrical pattern.  This type of poetry originated in the early 20th century. This style of poetry allowed poets to improvise and break from the traditional methods of composing poetry.

The poem can describe a person, place or thing
The poem can be in the for of a story,[object Object]
This will help the reader get a better understanding of the message that poem is trying to depict  ,[object Object]
Step 4 ,[object Object]
Use lyrical phrases to get message across without actually telling the story
