Kids naturally learn together…they start early on be learning from peers which are their siblings or parents. They then expand their learning network to include classmates when in school. Who do we as teachers learn and share out experiences with?
First networks are formed while in your own school but quickly become stagnant and an echo chamber. Need diversity or ideas
We expect our students to be lifelong learners…but do we model it.
It is not about the tools…but they are important.
Start by following, then share, then create - have them turn and tell a neighbor a sentence that they believe about teaching.
Start by reading, then commenting, and then start writing yourself. – have them turn and tell a story about something they are doing in their classroom right now.
