Dr. D. Y. Patil Unitech Society in Pune houses many institutions &

Science College, Akurdi is established under the umbrella of Dr. D. Y. Patil
Unitech Society in the year 2001. It is distinguished degree college affiliated to
Savitribai Phule Pune University and located in Nigadi Pradhikaran, Akurdi,
Pune, Maharashtra (India). Our college had organized three State & one National
level on field conferences for three successive years at ‘Kalsubai-
Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary’ & ‘Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary’
respectively for the very first time in Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.
About Psychology Department:
The department of Psychology began in 2019, as per the curriculum
of Savitribai Phule Pune University . Every year students join undergraduate and
postgraduate courses up to maximum strength from all the corner of Maharashtra
and other states. The department offers postgraduate courses with a specialization
in Clinical Psychology. The department is continuously engaged in organizing
various activities such as, study tours, Internship Programs, Guest lectures,
debates, quizzes, and various such programmers to enrich the knowledge of the
students. It is a great honor to state that the alumni belong to reputed psychologi-
cal organizations and schools. The department contributes psychological services
to the community.

About the conference:
Mental health disorders are conditions that affect your thinking, feeling,
mood, and behavior. They may be occasional or long-lasting (chronic). They can affect
your ability to relate to others and function each day. The mind is one of the most pow-
erful organs in the body, regulating the functioning of all other organs. When our minds
are unstable, they affect the whole functioning of our bodies. Being both physically and
emotionally fit is the key to success in all aspects of life. People should be aware of the
consequences of mental illness and must give utmost importance to keeping the mind
healthy like the way the physical body is kept healthy. Mental and physical health can-
not be separated from each other. And only when both are balanced can we call a person
perfectly healthy and well. So, it is crucial for everyone to work towards achieving a
balance between mental and physical wellbeing and get the necessary help when either
of them falters. The core themes of this conference will help in removing significant
barrier in the society for mental illness.

Research papers from academicians and students are invited to be presented. Selected research papers will be informed. The research paper should be in APA
