In 2006 MKFC shipped 40 computers, network equipment to Finnish Mission School, Eritrea. We also educated 40 teachers in ICT in order for them to implement the use of computers in their courses. Last but not least MKFC built a computer lab.

Educated the teachers
Purpose: To educate the teachers, the staff and
the parents. Open the school to the Internet and all
available knowledge there is to be found.
Apart from being able to learn how to use the
Internet and onlinebased learning, the teachers will
get new knowledge about the different ”rights” and
use them in their own teaching

The project is part of the Millennium Development
Goal agreed to by all the world’s countries and all
the world’s leading development institutions.
The eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
– which range from halving extreme poverty to
halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing
universal primary education, all by the target date of
2015.

Finnish Mission School - FMS
The School started in 1977 and had 316 students and
8 teachers. Today the school has approximately 3400
students in grade 1 - 8 and 74 staff members.
FMS has a good reputation and are considered as one
of the best and established schools in Eritrea.
The parents participate in thorugh
an active parentscommittee.

In Eritrea education has been neglected due to war and
lack of rescources.
Knowledge about international conventions (HR, CR, WR
&
Agenda 21) will increase and contribute positivetly to the
countrys developement.
There is a thirst for knowledge about ITC (Information
Technology & communication) since the Internet is
more and more available.
