Site is accessible from almost all modes of transportation.
Site is adjacent to 45 m wide ring road and 30 m wide
Bangalore-Mysore road.
Density -
Population of Mysore is about 8.9 lakh.
Total geographical area of Mysore is 113 km2.
Population density of the city is 7917 persons / km2.
SOCIO-CULTURE FACTORS Zoning –
Nearby area mainly - residential area and some of these are
public and semi-public area and commercial area.
Socio-economic factor –
• Catchment population is middle class and upper
class with higher than average per capita.
• Mysore has 38% (about 3.4 lakh) population engaged in
either main or marginal works.

• Storm water – Entire site drains storm water into Varuna
canal which is adjacent to the site.
• Water supply - In most parts of the district, ground water is

• Sanitary - Waste water treatment plant, Kesare is under
200m area from the site.
• Power supply – Nearest power-station is
Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation,

• Site is accessible from almost all modes of transportation.
• The proposed site belongs to this urban region.
• Foundation in black cotton soils may be Strip or pad
foundation, Pier foundation or Under reamed pile
foundation. The preferred type of foundation is under
reamed pile foundation.
• Site has very gentle slope, Slope Pattern: 0-5% therefore
generally flat hence is highly buildable.
• Mainly bushes, weeds and eucalyptus trees are seen on the
site, needs more plantation.
• As Mysore city is located in the tropics, the weather of
Mysore is pleasant throughout the year.
• The topography of the site is such that the entire site
drains storm water into Varuna canal which is adjacent to
the site.
• The site needs buffer zone from the railway track part
side.
• For the convenience of the pedestrian visitors it is
necessary to provide foot over bridge over the main
roads.
