As the global economy becomes more integrated, and technology and mobile
solutions more ubiquitous, a new breed of businesses, which are born global,
are emerging. As global supply chains proliferate and consumer tastes and
opinions converge, while technologies enable greater local variation and
mass customisation, having a global view has become key to entrepreneurial
success. Entrepreneurs with a global mindset are better equipped than their
competitors to understand and deal with the challenges of a global supply
chain, and the opportunities in the diverse global network of customers,
partners and influencers.
Our Global Entrepreneurship Programme is an advanced management
programme, designed to offer a global perspective to Entrepreneurship, allowing
the participants to interact with globally experienced mentors and peer groups,
in order to understand the global operating environment, appreciate the nuances
of global enterprise and chart the course of their own global businesses.
Becoming A Global Business Professional
The Global Entrepreneurship Programme has three interconnected units of study, each one delivered over a five week period.
Globalisation in Context
The first unit introduces you to the
mechanics of globalisation and
its impact on business: you will
accumulate ‘Global Intellectual
Capital’, knowledge of what
globalisation means for business, and
take the first steps towards being a
Global Professional.
Cross-Cultural Leadership
The second unit addresses the core
issue of global business – culture
– and explores its various models
and ways of getting things done
globally. This helps you develop
‘Global Psychological Capital’, an
understanding of the differences
that make globalisation so difficult to
grasp and such a potent force at the
same time, that defines a true Global
Professional.
Global Entrepreneurship
The third unit, presents a global view
of entrepreneurial opportunities and
challenges, and uses the Business
Model CanvasTM
methodology
to explore the Business Creation
process. It explores the perils and
pleasures of creating globally scalable
businesses, the opportunities that
the Internet represents, and new
competencies and leadership
capabilities that the Global
Entrepreneur must possess.

Learning Globally
The Global Entrepreneurship Programme is delivered
in Globally Collaborative Learning mode, facilitated by
U-Aspire, an ISO 9001 certified global Education Innovation
organisation based in London, UK, specialising in global
management and entrepreneurship development. Your
learning will combine online study and webinars with
local resources, access to a global peer group alongside
local meet-ups and mentoring, case studies with global
perspectives alongside projects of global relevance. U-Aspire
is building learning communities worldwide, and this will be
your opportunity to become a part of this global network
and learn through connection and conversation as well.
Achieving Global Recognition
On completion, you will be awarded the
Global Entrepreneurship certificate, from
the UK’s Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
ILM is the UK’s largest professional body for Leadership
and Management qualifications, and has more than 2000
partner organisations and more than 90,000 professionals
registered for its courses. You will qualify for ILM’s
professional membership, and be able to access various
membership benefits, including the free subscription of
its journal, access to its member network. You will be, in
summary, a part of the community of global leaders.
Assessment
The course is assessed through a presentation, a 1,500
word report and the production of the business plan.
Entry Requirements
The programme will be delivered in English and a good
working knowledge of English is required for entry into
the programme.
To appreciate various case examples cited in the
programme, an advanced level of understanding of
business environments would be needed. It is, therefore,
expected the learners have a post-graduate business
qualification (or are studying for one), or have worked in a
supervisory position for a number of years.
