Passing out medical graduation in 1971 with a gold plus 4 silver medals from Punjab university Chandigarh, India, served PGIMER, Chandigarh (A Tertiary care medical institute, university of National importance) in various capacities such as, Jr Resident, General Medicine, Junior Resident, Obs Gynae, Research Associate Cardiology and Sr. Resident Neurology. In 1985 joined the faculty of Neurosciences at PGIMER itself as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, teaching post doctoral DM/ MCH students of Neurology, Neurosurgery and medical post graduate residents of General Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry.
