- Purpose of this talk is to convince you that your Shad experience goes on and does not end on Friday. I was in your seat 3 years ago, my last day was yesterday.
- Very lost in terms of what I want to doExperienced my worst failures, had a breakdown, wanted a fresh start

- Who’s ever heard of science fairs? I did my science fair on dye sensitized solar cells, essentially turning fruits into electricitySpent over 1000 hours in 2 years

- Shad Olympics, PI, stuffing my face, doing things I would never do, washing machine story, getting lost in the tunnel
- Talk about Korean dance group, and Chinese singing, cutting someone’s hair, sharing secrets, sleeping in a classroomWho has a crazy Shad story to share
- Shad encourages you to get outside your comfort zone.Talk about B2B, going to Paris, making yourself vulnerable Comfort zone slowly expands to become greater, rollercoaster
- My hike story, science fairs (solve global warming)
- I stayed at the peak for less than 15 minutes and I took one picture. It wasn’t about seeing the view at the top, it was about getting to the top. Awards and titles – don’t get so caught up in them, enjoy the process of actually doing them, President/Founder/RecipientProudest accomplishment is not on resume
- Favourite line by program director…whenever you ask a question…even if it’s where’s the washroom, that’s the answer you getShad challenges you to think, you’ve been taught a traditional route, but that’s not the only route.Commerce route VS social entrepreneurship, Next 36
- It’s NOT all about marks, looking at flowers, a chat about life, spending time doing nothing with Shads, Once you hit university, you’ll forget this, get caught up, my 2nd year addicted to being busy
- This is the best lesson I learned from Shad. Shad was my happiest month because I can be anyone who I wanted to do. I never felt happier being myself. If you had to create a definition for your name in the Oxford dictionary, what would it be? What would you want it to include? Titles? Adjectives? Awards and accomplishments? People or events in your life? were you all trying to get somewhere? Prove something? Be something else?
- Lastly, the community, it never goes away. 3 years later, we’re still bonded by the magic behind Shad. You complete each other and these people are some of the most important people in your life. They share a special bond with you, pick up the convo whenever
- Shad is the start of my journey, it doesn’t STOP here, it STARTS here.Take what you learned at Shad, apply it to your life, your experience never endsHere’s what Shad gave me

- You have about 48 hours left from Shad, if there’s something you want to do, you have less than 48 hours to do it.When you come back, Shad withdrawal, FB, reunions, Skype calls, it’ll be a lot easier to go through withdraw with no regretsMy withdrawal lasted 4 days without leaving the house…some meds (monthbook, t-shirts, memories), most importantly SHAD NEVER ENDS
