Rotary International is a secular service organization with over 1.2 million members in over 34,000 clubs across more than 200 countries. The Rotary Club of Southside Corpus Christi has been chartered since June 1955 and implements Rotary's mission of service above self through five avenues of service: club, vocational, community, international, and new generations service. As a Rotarian, members are expected to regularly participate in and support club activities and projects, maintain good attendance at weekly meetings, and contribute financially to the club and The Rotary Foundation.
