4. Ingredients
o 2 ½ cups brown sugar (reserve ½ cup for later)
o ¾ cup heavy cream
o 6 Tbsp. butter
o ¼ tsp. salt
o ½ tsp. baking soda
o ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
o 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
o 11 oz bag Milk chocolate chips
o ~1-2 tsp. Coconut oil (optional)

o 8x8 or 9x9 inch baking dish – lined with
parchment paper
o Medium sauce pan – can be used for both the
filling and melted chocolate
o Cutting board
o Glass bowl that fits over sauce pan – for melting
chocolate*
o Cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
* You can melt the chocolate using any method. If you melt it in the microwave or
in a double boiler you will not need the glass bowl.

In a large sauce pan
combine 2 cups of the
brown sugar, heavy
cream, butter, and
salt.

Cook on medium
heat, stirring
constantly until it
begins to boil.

boil for 15 minutes.

Add the powdered
sugar. Stir until all the
sugar has been mixed
in well.

incorporated.

paper works well) and
let cool for several
hours.

Remove the liner.
Cut into ~1 inch
squares.

~1-2 tsp. coconut oil.
Although optional, it helps
