Emergence of Social Media 1970- Bulletin Board System; It’s the first Facebook where it all started when people communicate with each others to send messages back and forth and also uploading data to share with their friends and families and their loved ones. 1980’s- GEnie; where discussions and played games took places. But without any graphics shown or viewed. Genie was the only based on texting, which it didn’t last for very long time- disappeared in the 90’s. 1990’s- Craigslist was born and took over the world along with Geocities and America Online. Then later LiveJournal was born also. Millennium appeared quickly with newest social networks; Habbo, Friendster, LinkedIn, and MySpace. 2004- Facebook; where everyone is on 2006- Twitter is finally born attracting regulars whose on Facebook along with Celebrities.

- Social Media is a communication environment with so many countless ways to talk with your friends and families. It is also a media that is a social instrument of communication. However, not only it’s a social instrument for the world to use, it is also a good business at the same time. More business, the better.
- Brief History about Social Media: Social Medias has been out for a very long time and it is very effective till this day. Social Media started out by using over the phone first. It was born on “line.” The first real “blogs” and or “podcasts” occurred on hacked corporate voice mail systems which it’s called “codelines. ”
- This is a timeline of Social Network. How it changed the whole world. From Bulletin Board System to Facebook and Twitter, Social Networking is changing for the better.
- There are so many opportunities and benefits with Social Networking. The opportunities to keep in contact with your friends and families and your loved ones, and the benefits to stay in contact with them and also able to block whomever you want. And also able to post photos and other things on these social media like Facebook or MySpace.
