• Five representative headline EU-level targets
– Employment: 75% of the population aged 20-64
employed
– Research and innovation: 3% of the EU’s GDP
invested in R&D
• Climate change and energy sustainability
– GHG emissions 20% (even 30%) lower than 1990
– 20% of energy from renewables
