Making your home more energy-efficient can lower your energy bills, improve the comfort of your home
and help protect the environment. To help homeowners realize measurable energy savings in their
homes, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources has allocated over $7 million for energy
efficiency incentives under the Homeowner Upgrades and Geothermal Program.
Participating homeowners will be asked to obtain a home energy audit performed by a certified auditor.
The auditor will assess the home’s energy use and prepare a report that identifies upgrades to improve
energy efficiency. Program participants will receive a rebate of up to $500 for the home energy
audit, if they implement the recommended energy efficiency upgrades.
Homeowners can then apply for incentives to implement the recommended upgrades, as shown in the
table below:
