Learning Goal:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to convert units of area and
volume between customary and metric systems.

Score 4.0 In addition to Score 3.0 performance, in-depth inferences and
applications that go beyond what was taught, such as
the student can, without help, solve a real-life problem using the
conversion of units of area and/or volume.
Score 3.5 The student can, with help, solve a real-life problem using
the conversion of units of area and/or volume.
Score 3.0 While engaged in solving measurement of area and volume
conversion tasks, the student demonstrates an ability to
without help, convert measurements for units of volume and/or area,
correctly from one system of measurement to another (customary to
metric and metric to customary) when provided with a measurement
conversion table.
The student exhibits no major errors or omissions.
Score 2.5 The student can, without help, convert measurements of
units of volume and/or area, correctly within one system
of measurement(either customary or metric) when
provided with a measurement conversion table.
Score 2.0 No major errors or omissions regarding the simpler details and
processes, such as
the student, without help, can convert measurements and rates
involving both systems of measurement using dimensional analysis
(litres per kilometer to miles per gallon) given a measurement
conversion table.
However, the student exhibits major errors or omissions with Score
3.0 elements.
Score 1.5 The student, without help, can convert measurements
