C. Required Technology:

This course is an online simulation course, therefore, it will require you to have
equipment and skills allow88ing ready and constant access to a computer with Internet
connection to the WWW. You must utilize the e-mail account (the account address must
be provided to instructor by the end of the first week of the course) on a regular basis,
and have the resources and ability to attach and open documents readable in MS-Word,
PDF, and other common applications. You must have a headphone set with a
microphone attached to your computer. These individual requirements are not fulfilled
by this department but must be supplied by you at your home (preferable) or
workplace.

A. Course Description:

This course examines the Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship. During
this course, the student will explore each element in detail while
understanding how it relates to his/her professional and personal use of
technology and the Internet.

B. Audience:

The intended audience for this course is professional educators and
other professionals who are interested in learning more about …

The student will:

1. Define digital citizenship as it relates to his/her
professional practices.
2. Show evidence of understanding and use of the
   Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship.
Assessment and Activities
Assessments and Activities

A. Weekly Quizzes (25%)

There will be five 10-question True/False and Multiple Choice quizzes given
at the end of each weekly lesson. You will have one hour to complete the
online quiz and only one opportunity to take the quiz. Scores will be recorded
automatically and will be available to you upon completion of the quiz. The 50
possible points from the quizzes will count as 25% of your final grade for the
course.

Required Technology: This course is an online simulation course, therefore, it will require you to have equipment and skills allow88ing ready and constant access to a computer with Internet connection to the WWW. You must utilize the e-mail account (the account address must be provided to instructor by the end of the first week of the course) on a regular basis, and have the resources and ability to attach and open documents readable in MS-Word, PDF, and other common applications. You must have a headphone set with a microphone attached to your computer. These individual requirements are not fulfilled by this department but must be supplied by you at your home (preferable) or workplace.
  • 5. Goals Goals A. Course Description: This course examines the Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship. During this course, the student will explore each element in detail while understanding how it relates to his/her professional and personal use of technology and the Internet. B. Audience: The intended audience for this course is professional educators and other professionals who are interested in learning more about …
  • 6. Objectives Objectives The student will: 1. Define digital citizenship as it relates to his/her professional practices. 2. Show evidence of understanding and use of the Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship.
  • 7. Assessment and Activities Assessments and Activities A. Weekly Quizzes (25%) There will be five 10-question True/False and Multiple Choice quizzes given at the end of each weekly lesson. You will have one hour to complete the online quiz and only one opportunity to take the quiz. Scores will be recorded automatically and will be available to you upon completion of the quiz. The 50 possible points from the quizzes will count as 25% of your final grade for the course. Project (50%) Activities (10%) Attendance/Participation (15%)
