Transportation Problem

1. The way to militate the traffic congestion problem of Dhaka city
To consider mitigating the traffic congestion problem of Dhaka city, we should think about two
different steps-
a) Expansive step
b) Non-Expansive step.
a) Expansive step:
For our country as developing although the expansive step is not so effective to follow on, but
for future there is no problem to planed .For this reason we can take the following steps for
reducing the traffic jam or traffic congestion.
1. Launching the metro rail system connecting the busiest areas into Dhaka city .In my own
opinion the connection should be according to the following figure.
2. Using directional interchange, Y-inter change, Diamond clover leaf full lode ramp, single
point urban interchange.
3. Using Fly-over through the busiest areas as shown in the above figure for metro rail.
B) Non-expansive steps:
1) Shifting some head offices of government and non-government from Dhaka to another
cities Chittagong, Khulna, etc or near to Dhaka city.
2) Removing the garments factories form Dhaka city.
3) Shifting some universities nearest to Dhaka cities as like Gazipur, Saver, Chandpur, and
Tongi etc.
4) Banding parking system nearest to road, unauthorized area or illegal areas completely.
5) Without 4-5(at least4) member no one can drive their personal vehicle or transport.
6) No new factory should be established further more in the city.
7) The organization related to every development &production as well as the government
service related organizations should launch their personal transportation system for their
stuffs & members through launching i.e. buses.
8) All building, market, should have adequate parking system & for the old market, building
or office somewhere near that point should establish small or large (which one is
possible) parking system.
Above all may be possible or may be impossible because over them our contribution is so
little. it’s mainly of government tusk. When we can change about 45% of this current
problem then there is no need to wait for anyone else .To solves this current problem we can
take the following effective steps:
1) First of all rising up the public awareness.
2) We should do it through the mass Medias.

2. - use the right direction of the traffic signals.
-Avoiding use of private transportation for all purpose.
-And last of all if we can give up the attitude “giving priority to personal interest, must be
sacrifice minded .then this problem can be eradicate at a large.
In the morality – “everything is easy to say but difficult to do.”
